ذٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْكُمْ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيْدِۙ ٥١
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bimā
- بِمَا
- (is) for what
- qaddamat
- قَدَّمَتْ
- sent forth
- aydīkum
- أَيْدِيكُمْ
- your hands
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- And indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- (is) not
- biẓallāmin
- بِظَلَّٰمٍ
- unjust
- lil'ʿabīdi
- لِّلْعَبِيدِ
- to His slaves
That is for what your hands have put forth [of evil] and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 51)Tafsir
كَدَأْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۗ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ فَاَخَذَهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ ٥٢
- kadabi
- كَدَأْبِ
- Like (the) way
- āli
- ءَالِ
- (of) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَۙ
- (of) Firaun
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- min
- مِن
- (were) from
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِمْۚ
- before them
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- They disbelieved
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- in (the) Signs
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- fa-akhadhahumu
- فَأَخَذَهُمُ
- so seized them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- bidhunūbihim
- بِذُنُوبِهِمْۗ
- for their sins
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- qawiyyun
- قَوِىٌّ
- (is) All-Strong
- shadīdu
- شَدِيدُ
- (and) severe
- l-ʿiqābi
- ٱلْعِقَابِ
- (in) the penalty
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah, so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and severe in penalty. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 52)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً اَنْعَمَهَا عَلٰى قَوْمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوْا مَا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌۙ ٥٣
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- bi-anna
- بِأَنَّ
- (is) because
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yaku
- يَكُ
- is
- mughayyiran
- مُغَيِّرًا
- One Who changes
- niʿ'matan
- نِّعْمَةً
- a favor
- anʿamahā
- أَنْعَمَهَا
- which He had bestowed
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- qawmin
- قَوْمٍ
- a people
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yughayyirū
- يُغَيِّرُوا۟
- they change
- mā
- مَا
- what
- bi-anfusihim
- بِأَنفُسِهِمْۙ
- (is) in themselves
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- And indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- samīʿun
- سَمِيعٌ
- (is) All-Hearing
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- All-Knowing
That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 53)Tafsir
كَدَأْبِ اٰلِ فِرْعَوْنَۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْۚ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ وَاَغْرَقْنَآ اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَۚ وَكُلٌّ كَانُوْا ظٰلِمِيْنَ ٥٤
- kadabi
- كَدَأْبِ
- Like (the) way
- āli
- ءَالِ
- (of) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَۙ
- (of) Firaun
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- min
- مِن
- (were) from
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِمْۚ
- before them
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- They denied
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- (of) their Lord
- fa-ahlaknāhum
- فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم
- so We destroyed them
- bidhunūbihim
- بِذُنُوبِهِمْ
- for their sins
- wa-aghraqnā
- وَأَغْرَقْنَآ
- and We drowned
- āla
- ءَالَ
- (the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَۚ
- (of) Firaun
- wakullun
- وَكُلٌّ
- and (they) all
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- ẓālimīna
- ظَٰلِمِينَ
- wrongdoers
[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 54)Tafsir
اِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَاۤبِّ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَۖ ٥٥
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- sharra
- شَرَّ
- (the) worst
- l-dawābi
- ٱلدَّوَآبِّ
- (of) the living creatures
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- near
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (are) those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- fahum
- فَهُمْ
- and they
- lā
- لَا
- (will) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe– (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 55)Tafsir
الَّذِيْنَ عَاهَدْتَّ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ يَنْقُضُوْنَ عَهْدَهُمْ فِيْ كُلِّ مَرَّةٍ وَّهُمْ لَا يَتَّقُوْنَ ٥٦
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- ʿāhadtta
- عَٰهَدتَّ
- you made a covenant
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- with them
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yanquḍūna
- يَنقُضُونَ
- they break
- ʿahdahum
- عَهْدَهُمْ
- their covenant
- fī
- فِى
- [in]
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- marratin
- مَرَّةٍ
- time
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yattaqūna
- يَتَّقُونَ
- fear (Allah)
The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their pledge every time, and they do not fear Allah. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 56)Tafsir
فَاِمَّا تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ فِى الْحَرْبِ فَشَرِّدْ بِهِمْ مَّنْ خَلْفَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ ٥٧
- fa-immā
- فَإِمَّا
- So if
- tathqafannahum
- تَثْقَفَنَّهُمْ
- you gain dominance over them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ḥarbi
- ٱلْحَرْبِ
- the war
- fasharrid
- فَشَرِّدْ
- disperse
- bihim
- بِهِم
- by them
- man
- مَّنْ
- (those) who
- khalfahum
- خَلْفَهُمْ
- (are) behind them
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yadhakkarūna
- يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- take heed
So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 57)Tafsir
وَاِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِنْ قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَانْۢبِذْ اِلَيْهِمْ عَلٰى سَوَاۤءٍۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْخَاۤىِٕنِيْنَ ࣖ ٥٨
- wa-immā
- وَإِمَّا
- And if
- takhāfanna
- تَخَافَنَّ
- you fear
- min
- مِن
- from
- qawmin
- قَوْمٍ
- a people
- khiyānatan
- خِيَانَةً
- betrayal
- fa-inbidh
- فَٱنۢبِذْ
- throw back
- ilayhim
- إِلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- sawāin
- سَوَآءٍۚ
- equal (terms)
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- love
- l-khāinīna
- ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
- the traitors
If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like traitors. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 58)Tafsir
وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا سَبَقُوْاۗ اِنَّهُمْ لَا يُعْجِزُوْنَ ٥٩
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (let) not
- yaḥsabanna
- يَحْسَبَنَّ
- think
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- sabaqū
- سَبَقُوٓا۟ۚ
- they can outstrip
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- lā
- لَا
- (can) not
- yuʿ'jizūna
- يُعْجِزُونَ
- escape
And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah]. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 59)Tafsir
وَاَعِدُّوْا لَهُمْ مَّا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِّنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّمِنْ رِّبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُوْنَ بِهٖ عَدُوَّ اللّٰهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَاٰخَرِيْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِمْۚ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَهُمْۚ اَللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْۗ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوْا مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ يُوَفَّ اِلَيْكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُوْنَ ٦٠
- wa-aʿiddū
- وَأَعِدُّوا۟
- And prepare
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- mā
- مَّا
- whatever
- is'taṭaʿtum
- ٱسْتَطَعْتُم
- you able (to)
- min
- مِّن
- of
- quwwatin
- قُوَّةٍ
- force
- wamin
- وَمِن
- and of
- ribāṭi
- رِّبَاطِ
- tethered
- l-khayli
- ٱلْخَيْلِ
- horses
- tur'hibūna
- تُرْهِبُونَ
- (to) terrify
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- therewith
- ʿaduwwa
- عَدُوَّ
- (the) enemy
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (the) enemy
- waʿaduwwakum
- وَعَدُوَّكُمْ
- and your enemy
- waākharīna
- وَءَاخَرِينَ
- and others
- min
- مِن
- from
- dūnihim
- دُونِهِمْ
- besides them
- lā
- لَا
- not
- taʿlamūnahumu
- تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ
- (do) you know them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (but) Allah
- yaʿlamuhum
- يَعْلَمُهُمْۚ
- knows them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And whatever
- tunfiqū
- تُنفِقُوا۟
- you spend
- min
- مِن
- from
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- (any) thing
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sabīli
- سَبِيلِ
- (the) way
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- yuwaffa
- يُوَفَّ
- it will be fully repaid
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُمْ
- to you
- wa-antum
- وَأَنتُمْ
- and you
- lā
- لَا
- (will) not
- tuẓ'lamūna
- تُظْلَمُونَ
- be wronged
And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. (QS. [8] Al-Anfal: 60)Tafsir
