Al-Qur'an Surah An-Nazi'at Verse 4

An-Nazi'at [79]: 4 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبْقًاۙ (النازعات : ٧٩)

fal-sābiqāti
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ
And those who race each other
sabqan
سَبْقًا
(in) a race

Transliteration:

Fass saabi qaati sabqa (QS. an-Nāziʿāt:4)

English / Sahih Translation:

And those who race each other in a race (QS. An-Nazi'at, ayah 4)

then proceed forward quickly,

and those taking the lead vigorously,

and those who overtake one another as in a race,

And by the racers, racing.

by those that outstrip them suddenly,

And those who race swiftly.

Tafsir jalalayn

by those that race forward, [by] the angels who race forward to Paradise with the souls of believers;

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

And by the racers, racing.

It has been narrated from Ali, Masruq, Mujahid, Abu Salih, and Al-Hasan Al-Basri that this means the angels.

Then Allah says,

فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا
