فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰىۖ ٢١
- fakadhaba
- فَكَذَّبَ
- But he denied
- waʿaṣā
- وَعَصَىٰ
- and disobeyed
But he [i.e., Pharaoh] denied and disobeyed. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 21)Tafsir
22
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ يَسْعٰىۖ ٢٢
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- adbara
- أَدْبَرَ
- he turned his back
- yasʿā
- يَسْعَىٰ
- striving
Then he turned his back, striving [i.e., plotting]. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 22)Tafsir
23
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىۖ ٢٣
- faḥashara
- فَحَشَرَ
- And he gathered
- fanādā
- فَنَادَىٰ
- and called out
And he gathered [his people] and called out. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 23)Tafsir
24
فَقَالَ اَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰىۖ ٢٤
- faqāla
- فَقَالَ
- Then he said
- anā
- أَنَا۠
- "I am
- rabbukumu
- رَبُّكُمُ
- your Lord
- l-aʿlā
- ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ
- the Most High"
And said, "I am your most exalted lord." (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 24)Tafsir
25
فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَكَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَالْاُوْلٰىۗ ٢٥
- fa-akhadhahu
- فَأَخَذَهُ
- So seized him
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- nakāla
- نَكَالَ
- (with) an exemplary punishment
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- (for) the last
- wal-ūlā
- وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ
- and the first
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 25)Tafsir
26
اِنَّ فِيْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَنْ يَّخْشٰى ۗ ࣖ ٢٦
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- laʿib'ratan
- لَعِبْرَةً
- surely (is) a lesson
- liman
- لِّمَن
- for whoever
- yakhshā
- يَخْشَىٰٓ
- fears
Indeed in that is a lesson [i.e., warning] for whoever would fear [Allah]. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 26)Tafsir
27
ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَاۤءُ ۚ بَنٰىهَاۗ ٢٧
- a-antum
- ءَأَنتُمْ
- Are you
- ashaddu
- أَشَدُّ
- a more difficult
- khalqan
- خَلْقًا
- creation
- ami
- أَمِ
- or
- l-samāu
- ٱلسَّمَآءُۚ
- the heaven
- banāhā
- بَنَىٰهَا
- He constructed it?
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? He [i.e., Allah] constructed it. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 27)Tafsir
28
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوّٰىهَاۙ ٢٨
- rafaʿa
- رَفَعَ
- He raised
- samkahā
- سَمْكَهَا
- its ceiling
- fasawwāhā
- فَسَوَّىٰهَا
- and proportioned it
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 28)Tafsir
29
وَاَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَاَخْرَجَ ضُحٰىهَاۖ ٢٩
- wa-aghṭasha
- وَأَغْطَشَ
- And He darkened
- laylahā
- لَيْلَهَا
- its night
- wa-akhraja
- وَأَخْرَجَ
- and brought out
- ḍuḥāhā
- ضُحَىٰهَا
- its brightness
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 29)Tafsir
30
وَالْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰىهَاۗ ٣٠
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- And the earth
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- daḥāhā
- دَحَىٰهَآ
- He spread it
And after that He spread the earth. (QS. [79] An-Nazi'at: 30)Tafsir
