Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mursalat Verse 32

Al-Mursalat [77]: 32 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اِنَّهَا تَرْمِيْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِۚ (المرسلات : ٧٧)

innahā
إِنَّهَا
Indeed it
tarmī
تَرْمِى
throws up
bishararin
بِشَرَرٍ
sparks
kal-qaṣri
كَٱلْقَصْرِ
as the fortress

Transliteration:

Innahaa tarmee bishararin kalqasr (QS. al-Mursalāt:32)

English / Sahih Translation:

Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, (QS. Al-Mursalat, ayah 32)

Tafsir jalalayn

Indeed it, that is, the Fire, throws up sparks, namely, those [flame] that are thrown by it into the air, [huge] like palace edifices, in terms of their enormity and vertical extension,

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

Verily, it throws sparks as Al-Qasr,

meaning, its sparks will shoot out from its flame like huge castles.

Ibn Mas`ud said, "Like forts."

Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, Qatadah and Malik who reported from Zayd bin Aslam and others said,

"This means the trunk of trees."

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
