31
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلّٰىۙ ٣١
- falā
- فَلَا
- And not
- ṣaddaqa
- صَدَّقَ
- he accepted (the) truth
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- ṣallā
- صَلَّىٰ
- he prayed
And he [i.e., the disbeliever] had not believed, nor had he prayed. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 31)Tafsir
32
وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىۙ ٣٢
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- he denied
- watawallā
- وَتَوَلَّىٰ
- and turned away
But [instead], he denied and turned away. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 32)Tafsir
33
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهٖ يَتَمَطّٰىۗ ٣٣
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- dhahaba
- ذَهَبَ
- he went
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- to
- ahlihi
- أَهْلِهِۦ
- his family
- yatamaṭṭā
- يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
- swaggering
And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 33)Tafsir
34
اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىۙ ٣٤
- awlā
- أَوْلَىٰ
- Woe
- laka
- لَكَ
- to you
- fa-awlā
- فَأَوْلَىٰ
- and woe!
Woe to you, and woe! (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 34)Tafsir
35
ثُمَّ اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىۗ ٣٥
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- awlā
- أَوْلَىٰ
- woe
- laka
- لَكَ
- to you
- fa-awlā
- فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
- and woe!
Then woe to you, and woe! (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 35)Tafsir
36
اَيَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنْ يُّتْرَكَ سُدًىۗ ٣٦
- ayaḥsabu
- أَيَحْسَبُ
- Does think
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- man
- an
- أَن
- that
- yut'raka
- يُتْرَكَ
- he will be left
- sudan
- سُدًى
- neglected?
Does man think that he will be left neglected? (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 36)Tafsir
37
اَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّنْ مَّنِيٍّ يُّمْنٰى ٣٧
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Was not
- yaku
- يَكُ
- he
- nuṭ'fatan
- نُطْفَةً
- a sperm
- min
- مِّن
- from
- maniyyin
- مَّنِىٍّ
- semen
- yum'nā
- يُمْنَىٰ
- emitted?
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted? (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 37)Tafsir
38
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّٰىۙ ٣٨
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he was
- ʿalaqatan
- عَلَقَةً
- a clinging substance
- fakhalaqa
- فَخَلَقَ
- then He created
- fasawwā
- فَسَوَّىٰ
- and proportioned
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him] (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 38)Tafsir
39
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰىۗ ٣٩
- fajaʿala
- فَجَعَلَ
- Then made
- min'hu
- مِنْهُ
- of him
- l-zawjayni
- ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ
- two mates
- l-dhakara
- ٱلذَّكَرَ
- (the) male
- wal-unthā
- وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
- and the female
And made of him two mates, the male and the female. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 39)Tafsir
40
اَلَيْسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰٓى اَنْ يُّحْيِ َۧ الْمَوْتٰى ࣖ ٤٠
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- Is not
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- [that]
- biqādirin
- بِقَٰدِرٍ
- (He) Able
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- [over]
- an
- أَن
- to
- yuḥ'yiya
- يُحْۦِىَ
- give life
- l-mawtā
- ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
- (to) the dead?
Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead? (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 40)Tafsir
