لَآ اُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِۙ ١
- lā
- لَآ
- Nay!
- uq'simu
- أُقْسِمُ
- I swear
- biyawmi
- بِيَوْمِ
- by (the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection
I swear by the Day of Resurrection (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 1)Tafsir
2
وَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ ٢
- walā
- وَلَآ
- And nay!
- uq'simu
- أُقْسِمُ
- I swear
- bil-nafsi
- بِٱلنَّفْسِ
- by the soul
- l-lawāmati
- ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
- self-accusing
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 2)Tafsir
3
اَيَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَلَّنْ نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهٗ ۗ ٣
- ayaḥsabu
- أَيَحْسَبُ
- Does think
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- [the] man
- allan
- أَلَّن
- that not
- najmaʿa
- نَّجْمَعَ
- We will assemble
- ʿiẓāmahu
- عِظَامَهُۥ
- his bones?
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 3)Tafsir
4
بَلٰى قَادِرِيْنَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهٗ ٤
- balā
- بَلَىٰ
- Nay!
- qādirīna
- قَٰدِرِينَ
- [We are] able
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- an
- أَن
- that
- nusawwiya
- نُّسَوِّىَ
- We can restore
- banānahu
- بَنَانَهُۥ
- his fingertips
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 4)Tafsir
5
بَلْ يُرِيْدُ الْاِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ اَمَامَهٗۚ ٥
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay!
- yurīdu
- يُرِيدُ
- Desires
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- [the] man
- liyafjura
- لِيَفْجُرَ
- to give (the) lie
- amāmahu
- أَمَامَهُۥ
- (to) what is before him
But man desires to continue in sin. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 5)Tafsir
6
يَسْـَٔلُ اَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيٰمَةِۗ ٦
- yasalu
- يَسْـَٔلُ
- He asks
- ayyāna
- أَيَّانَ
- "When
- yawmu
- يَوْمُ
- (is the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
- (of) the Resurrection?"
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 6)Tafsir
7
فَاِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُۙ ٧
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- So when
- bariqa
- بَرِقَ
- is dazzled
- l-baṣaru
- ٱلْبَصَرُ
- the vision
So when vision is dazzled. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 7)Tafsir
8
وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُۙ ٨
- wakhasafa
- وَخَسَفَ
- And becomes dark
- l-qamaru
- ٱلْقَمَرُ
- the moon
And the moon darkens. (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 8)Tafsir
9
وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُۙ ٩
- wajumiʿa
- وَجُمِعَ
- And are joined
- l-shamsu
- ٱلشَّمْسُ
- the sun
- wal-qamaru
- وَٱلْقَمَرُ
- and the moon
And the sun and the moon are joined, (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 9)Tafsir
10
يَقُوْلُ الْاِنْسَانُ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ اَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّۚ ١٠
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- Will say
- l-insānu
- ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
- [the] man
- yawma-idhin
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- that Day
- ayna
- أَيْنَ
- "Where
- l-mafaru
- ٱلْمَفَرُّ
- (is) the escape?"
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" (QS. [75] Al-Qiyamah: 10)Tafsir
