Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Muddaththir Verse 18
Al-Muddaththir [74]: 18 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّهٗ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَۙ (المدثر : ٧٤)
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed he
- fakkara
- فَكَّرَ

- وَقَدَّرَ
- and plotted
Transliteration:
Innahoo fakkara wa qaddar(QS. al-Muddathir:18)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, he thought and deliberated. (QS. Al-Muddaththir, ayah 18)

Tafsir jalalayn
Indeed he pondered, what to say about the Qur'n which he heard from the Prophet (s), and decided, this, in his mind.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
Verily, he thought and plotted.
meaning, `We only caused him to face the grievous torment of Sa`ud, that is Our bringing him close to the harsh torment, because he was far away from faith.'
This was because he thought and plotted, meaning he contemplated what he should say about the Qur'an when he was asked about it. So he deliberated over what statement he should invent against it.
وَقَدَّر
and plotted. meaning, he contemplated.
فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
