Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Muzzammil Verse 11

Al-Muzzammil [73]: 11 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَذَرْنِيْ وَالْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ اُولِى النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيْلًا (المزمل : ٧٣)

wadharnī
وَذَرْنِى
And leave Me
wal-mukadhibīna
وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
and the deniers
ulī
أُو۟لِى
possessors
l-naʿmati
ٱلنَّعْمَةِ
(of) the ease
wamahhil'hum
وَمَهِّلْهُمْ
and allow them respite -
qalīlan
قَلِيلًا
a little

Transliteration:

Wa zarnee walmukaz zibeena ulin na'mati wa mahhilhum qaleelaa (QS. al-Muzzammil:11)

English / Sahih Translation:

And leave Me with [the matter of] the deniers, those of ease [in life], and allow them respite a little. (QS. Al-Muzzammil, ayah 11)

Tafsir jalalayn

And leave Me [to deal] with the deniers (wa'l-mukadhdhibna is a supplement to the direct object, or [it is] an object of accompaniment; the meaning is; `I will avail you of them', they being the doughty [leaders] of Quraysh), those enjoying affluence, and respite them a little, while -- they were killed soon afterwards at Badr.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ

And leave Me alone to deal with the deniers, those who are in possession of good things of life.

meaning, `leave Me to deal with the rich rejectors, who own great wealth.'

For verily, they are more able to obey than others besides them, and they are requested to give the rights (to people) because they have what others do not have.

وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلً




And give them respite for a little.

meaning, for a little while.

This is as Allah says,

نُمَتِّعُهُمْ قَلِيلً ثُمَّ نَضْطَرُّهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ

We let them enjoy for a little, then in the end We shall oblige them to (enter) a great torment. (31;24)

Thus, Allah says
