قَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ اِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِيْ وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَنْ لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهٗ وَوَلَدُهٗٓ اِلَّا خَسَارًاۚ ٢١
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Said
- nūḥun
- نُوحٌ
- Nuh
- rabbi
- رَّبِّ
- "My Lord!
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed they
- ʿaṣawnī
- عَصَوْنِى
- disobeyed me
- wa-ittabaʿū
- وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟
- and followed
- man
- مَن
- (the one) who
- lam
- لَّمْ
- (did) not
- yazid'hu
- يَزِدْهُ
- increase him
- māluhu
- مَالُهُۥ
- his wealth
- wawaladuhu
- وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ
- and his children
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- khasāran
- خَسَارًا
- (in) loss
Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss. (QS. [71] Nuh: 21)Tafsir
22
وَمَكَرُوْا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًاۚ ٢٢
- wamakarū
- وَمَكَرُوا۟
- And they have planned
- makran
- مَكْرًا
- a plan
- kubbāran
- كُبَّارًا
- great
And they conspired an immense conspiracy (QS. [71] Nuh: 22)Tafsir
23
وَقَالُوْا لَا تَذَرُنَّ اٰلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَّلَا سُوَاعًا ەۙ وَّلَا يَغُوْثَ وَيَعُوْقَ وَنَسْرًاۚ ٢٣
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they said
- lā
- لَا
- "(Do) not
- tadharunna
- تَذَرُنَّ
- leave
- ālihatakum
- ءَالِهَتَكُمْ
- your gods
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- tadharunna
- تَذَرُنَّ
- leave
- waddan
- وَدًّا
- Wadd
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- suwāʿan
- سُوَاعًا
- Suwa
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yaghūtha
- يَغُوثَ
- Yaguth
- wayaʿūqa
- وَيَعُوقَ
- and Yauq
- wanasran
- وَنَسْرًا
- and Nasr"
And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya´uq and Nasr.' (QS. [71] Nuh: 23)Tafsir
24
وَقَدْ اَضَلُّوْا كَثِيْرًا ەۚ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا ضَلٰلًا ٢٤
- waqad
- وَقَدْ
- And indeed
- aḍallū
- أَضَلُّوا۟
- they have led astray
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًاۖ
- many
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- tazidi
- تَزِدِ
- increase
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ḍalālan
- ضَلَٰلًا
- (in) error"
And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error." (QS. [71] Nuh: 24)Tafsir
25
مِمَّا خَطِيْۤـٰٔتِهِمْ اُغْرِقُوْا فَاُدْخِلُوْا نَارًا ەۙ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوْا لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اَنْصَارًا ٢٥
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- Because of
- khaṭīātihim
- خَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْ
- their sins
- ugh'riqū
- أُغْرِقُوا۟
- they were drowned
- fa-ud'khilū
- فَأُدْخِلُوا۟
- then made to enter
- nāran
- نَارًا
- (the) Fire
- falam
- فَلَمْ
- and not
- yajidū
- يَجِدُوا۟
- they found
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for themselves
- min
- مِّن
- from
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- anṣāran
- أَنصَارًا
- any helpers
Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers. (QS. [71] Nuh: 25)Tafsir
26
وَقَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ دَيَّارًا ٢٦
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- nūḥun
- نُوحٌ
- Nuh
- rabbi
- رَّبِّ
- "My Lord!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tadhar
- تَذَرْ
- leave
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- mina
- مِنَ
- any
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- (of) the disbelievers
- dayyāran
- دَيَّارًا
- (as) an inhabitant
And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant. (QS. [71] Nuh: 26)Tafsir
27
اِنَّكَ اِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوْا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوْٓا اِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا ٢٧
- innaka
- إِنَّكَ
- Indeed You
- in
- إِن
- if
- tadharhum
- تَذَرْهُمْ
- You leave them
- yuḍillū
- يُضِلُّوا۟
- they will mislead
- ʿibādaka
- عِبَادَكَ
- Your slaves
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yalidū
- يَلِدُوٓا۟
- they will beget
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- fājiran
- فَاجِرًا
- a wicked
- kaffāran
- كَفَّارًا
- a disbeliever
Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever. (QS. [71] Nuh: 27)Tafsir
28
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَّلِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِۗ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا تَبَارًا ࣖ ٢٨
- rabbi
- رَّبِّ
- My Lord!
- igh'fir
- ٱغْفِرْ
- Forgive
- lī
- لِى
- me
- waliwālidayya
- وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ
- and my parents
- waliman
- وَلِمَن
- and whoever
- dakhala
- دَخَلَ
- enters
- baytiya
- بَيْتِىَ
- my house -
- mu'minan
- مُؤْمِنًا
- a believer
- walil'mu'minīna
- وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- and believing men
- wal-mu'mināti
- وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ
- and believing women
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tazidi
- تَزِدِ
- increase
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- tabāran
- تَبَارًۢا
- (in) destruction"
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction." (QS. [71] Nuh: 28)Tafsir
