(Noah)

bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim
1

اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖٓ اَنْ اَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ ١

innā
إِنَّآ
Indeed, We
arsalnā
أَرْسَلْنَا
[We] sent
nūḥan
نُوحًا
Nuh
ilā
إِلَىٰ
to
qawmihi
قَوْمِهِۦٓ
his people
an
أَنْ
that
andhir
أَنذِرْ
"Warn
qawmaka
قَوْمَكَ
your people
min
مِن
from
qabli
قَبْلِ
before
an
أَن
[that]
yatiyahum
يَأْتِيَهُمْ
comes to them
ʿadhābun
عَذَابٌ
a punishment
alīmun
أَلِيمٌ
painful"
Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment." (QS. [71] Nuh: 1)

قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اِنِّيْ لَكُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌۙ ٢

qāla
قَالَ
He said
yāqawmi
يَٰقَوْمِ
"O my people!
innī
إِنِّى
Indeed I am
lakum
لَكُمْ
to you
nadhīrun
نَذِيرٌ
a warner
mubīnun
مُّبِينٌ
clear
He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner – (QS. [71] Nuh: 2)
Tafsir

اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَاتَّقُوْهُ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِۙ ٣

ani
أَنِ
That
uʿ'budū
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
Worship
l-laha
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
wa-ittaqūhu
وَٱتَّقُوهُ
and fear Him
wa-aṭīʿūni
وَأَطِيعُونِ
and obey me
To worship Allah, fear Him and obey me. (QS. [71] Nuh: 3)
Tafsir

يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِّنْ ذُنُوْبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۗ اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذَا جَاۤءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۘ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٤

يَغْفِرْ
He will forgive
lakum
لَكُم
for you
min
مِّن
[of]
dhunūbikum
ذُنُوبِكُمْ
your sins
wayu-akhir'kum
وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ
and give you respite
ilā
إِلَىٰٓ
for
ajalin
أَجَلٍ
a term
musamman
مُّسَمًّىۚ
specified
inna
إِنَّ
Indeed
ajala
أَجَلَ
(the) term
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah
idhā
إِذَا
when
jāa
جَآءَ
it comes
لَا
not
yu-akharu
يُؤَخَّرُۖ
is delayed
law
لَوْ
if
kuntum
كُنتُمْ
you
taʿlamūna
تَعْلَمُونَ
know"
He [i.e., Allah] will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew." (QS. [71] Nuh: 4)
Tafsir

قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّيْ دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِيْ لَيْلًا وَّنَهَارًاۙ ٥

قَالَ
He said
rabbi
رَبِّ
"My Lord!
innī
إِنِّى
Indeed I
daʿawtu
دَعَوْتُ
invited
qawmī
قَوْمِى
my people
laylan
لَيْلًا
night
wanahāran
وَنَهَارًا
and day
He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day. (QS. [71] Nuh: 5)
Tafsir

فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَاۤءِيْٓ اِلَّا فِرَارًا ٦

falam
فَلَمْ
But not
yazid'hum
يَزِدْهُمْ
increased them
duʿāī
دُعَآءِىٓ
my invitation
illā
إِلَّا
except
firāran
فِرَارًا
(in) flight
But my invitation increased them not except in flight [i.e., aversion]. (QS. [71] Nuh: 6)

وَاِنِّيْ كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوْٓا اَصَابِعَهُمْ فِيْٓ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَاَصَرُّوْا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًاۚ ٧

وَإِنِّى
And indeed I
kullamā
كُلَّمَا
every time
daʿawtuhum
دَعَوْتُهُمْ
I invited them
litaghfira
لِتَغْفِرَ
that You may forgive
lahum
لَهُمْ
them
jaʿalū
جَعَلُوٓا۟
they put
aṣābiʿahum
أَصَٰبِعَهُمْ
their fingers
فِىٓ
in
ādhānihim
ءَاذَانِهِمْ
their ears
wa-is'taghshaw
وَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟
and covered themselves
thiyābahum
ثِيَابَهُمْ
(with) their garments
wa-aṣarrū
وَأَصَرُّوا۟
and persisted
wa-is'takbarū
وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
and were arrogant
is'tik'bāran
ٱسْتِكْبَارًا
(with) pride
And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. (QS. [71] Nuh: 7)

ثُمَّ اِنِّيْ دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًاۙ ٨

Then

إِنِّى
indeed I
daʿawtuhum
دَعَوْتُهُمْ
invited them
jihāran
جِهَارًا
publicly
Then I invited them publicly. (QS. [71] Nuh: 8)

ثُمَّ اِنِّيْٓ اَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَاَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ اِسْرَارًاۙ ٩

ثُمَّ
Then
innī
إِنِّىٓ
indeed I
aʿlantu
أَعْلَنتُ
announced
lahum
لَهُمْ
to them
wa-asrartu
وَأَسْرَرْتُ
and I confided
lahum
لَهُمْ
to them
is'rāran
إِسْرَارًا
secretly
Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly (QS. [71] Nuh: 9)

فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّكُمْ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفَّارًاۙ ١٠

faqul'tu
فَقُلْتُ
Then I said
is'taghfirū
ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟
"Ask forgiveness
rabbakum
رَبَّكُمْ
(from) your Lord
innahu
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
kāna
كَانَ
is
ghaffāran
غَفَّارًا
Oft-Forgiving
And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. (QS. [71] Nuh: 10)
