Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Ma'arij Verse 33
Al-Ma'arij [70]: 33 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِشَهٰدٰتِهِمْ قَاۤىِٕمُوْنَۖ (المعارج : ٧٠)
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- hum
- هُم
- [they]
- bishahādātihim
- بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمْ
- in their testimonies
- qāimūna
- قَآئِمُونَ
- stand firm
Transliteration:
Wallazeena hum bishahaadaatihim qaaa'imoon(QS. al-Maʿārij:33)
English / Sahih Translation:
And those who are in their testimonies upright (QS. Al-Ma'arij, ayah 33)

Tafsir jalalayn
and who are forthwith with their testimony (bi-shahdatihim; a variant reading has the plural [bi- shahdtihim, `their testimonies']), [those who] offer them and do not withhold them,
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
And those who stand firm in their testimonies.
This means that they guard their testimonies. They do not add or decrease from what they testify to nor do they conceal their testimonies. Allah says in another Ayah,
وَمَن يَكْتُمْهَا فَإِنَّهُ ءَاثِمٌ قَلْبُهُ
Who hides it, surely, his heart is sinful. (2;283)
Then Allah says,
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ
