فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَاۤءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْعٰدُوْنَۚ ٣١
- famani
- فَمَنِ
- But whoever
- ib'taghā
- ٱبْتَغَىٰ
- seeks
- warāa
- وَرَآءَ
- beyond
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- that
- fa-ulāika
- فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- then those
- humu
- هُمُ
- [they]
- l-ʿādūna
- ٱلْعَادُونَ
- (are) the transgressors -
But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors – (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 31)Tafsir
32
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُوْنَۖ ٣٢
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- hum
- هُمْ
- [they]
- li-amānātihim
- لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ
- of their trusts
- waʿahdihim
- وَعَهْدِهِمْ
- and their promise
- rāʿūna
- رَٰعُونَ
- (are) observers
And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive. (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 32)Tafsir
33
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِشَهٰدٰتِهِمْ قَاۤىِٕمُوْنَۖ ٣٣
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- hum
- هُم
- [they]
- bishahādātihim
- بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمْ
- in their testimonies
- qāimūna
- قَآئِمُونَ
- stand firm
And those who are in their testimonies upright (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 33)Tafsir
34
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُوْنَۖ ٣٤
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- hum
- هُمْ
- [they]
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ṣalātihim
- صَلَاتِهِمْ
- their prayer
- yuḥāfiẓūna
- يُحَافِظُونَ
- keep a guard -
And those who [carefully] maintain their prayer: (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 34)Tafsir
35
اُولٰۤىِٕكَ فِيْ جَنّٰتٍ مُّكْرَمُوْنَ ۗ ࣖ ٣٥
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- fī
- فِى
- (will be) in
- jannātin
- جَنَّٰتٍ
- Gardens
- muk'ramūna
- مُّكْرَمُونَ
- honored
They will be in gardens, honored. (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 35)Tafsir
36
فَمَالِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِيْنَۙ ٣٦
- famāli
- فَمَالِ
- So what is with
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- qibalaka
- قِبَلَكَ
- before you
- muh'ṭiʿīna
- مُهْطِعِينَ
- (they) hasten
So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 36)Tafsir
37
عَنِ الْيَمِيْنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِيْنَ ٣٧
- ʿani
- عَنِ
- On
- l-yamīni
- ٱلْيَمِينِ
- the right
- waʿani
- وَعَنِ
- and on
- l-shimāli
- ٱلشِّمَالِ
- the left
- ʿizīna
- عِزِينَ
- (in) separate groups?
[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups? (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 37)Tafsir
38
اَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ اَنْ يُّدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيْمٍۙ ٣٨
- ayaṭmaʿu
- أَيَطْمَعُ
- Does long
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- every
- im'ri-in
- ٱمْرِئٍ
- person
- min'hum
- مِّنْهُمْ
- among them
- an
- أَن
- that
- yud'khala
- يُدْخَلَ
- he enters
- jannata
- جَنَّةَ
- a Garden
- naʿīmin
- نَعِيمٍ
- (of) Delight?
Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 38)Tafsir
39
كَلَّاۗ اِنَّا خَلَقْنٰهُمْ مِّمَّا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٩
- kallā
- كَلَّآۖ
- By no means!
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed We
- khalaqnāhum
- خَلَقْنَٰهُم
- [We] have created them
- mimmā
- مِّمَّا
- from what
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- they know
No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know. (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 39)Tafsir
40
فَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغٰرِبِ اِنَّا لَقٰدِرُوْنَۙ ٤٠
- falā
- فَلَآ
- But nay!
- uq'simu
- أُقْسِمُ
- I swear
- birabbi
- بِرَبِّ
- by (the) Lord
- l-mashāriqi
- ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ
- (of) the rising
- wal-maghāribi
- وَٱلْمَغَٰرِبِ
- and the settings
- innā
- إِنَّا
- that We
- laqādirūna
- لَقَٰدِرُونَ
- (are) surely Able
So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able (QS. [70] Al-Ma'arij: 40)Tafsir
