Al-Qur'an Surah Al-A'raf Verse 15
Al-A'raf [7]: 15 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
قَالَ اِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِيْنَ (الأعراف : ٧)

Transliteration:
Qaala innaka minal munzareen(QS. al-ʾAʿrāf:15)
English / Sahih Translation:
[Allah] said, "Indeed, you are of those reprieved." (QS. Al-A'raf, ayah 15)

He (Allah) said, “You are granted respite’’.

Tafsir jalalayn
Said He, `Lo! You are of those reprieved' -- in another verse, it is said, until the day of an appointed time [Q. 38;81], that is, [until] the time of the first blast [of the Trumpet].
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
(Iblis) said;"Allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (the Day of Resurrection)."
(Allah) said;"You are of those respited."
It is like His statement;
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِى إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ
Then allow me respite till the Day they are raised up. (Allah) said;"Then you are of those respited." (15;36-37)
Allah gave Shaytan what he asked for out of His wisdom, being His decision and decree, that is never prevented or resisted. Surely, none can avert His decision, and He is swift in reckoning
