الَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوْا دِيْنَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَّلَعِبًا وَّغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَاۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نَنْسٰىهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوْا لِقَاۤءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هٰذَاۙ وَمَا كَانُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُوْنَ ٥١
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- Those who
- ittakhadhū
- ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
- took
- dīnahum
- دِينَهُمْ
- their religion
- lahwan
- لَهْوًا
- (as) an amusement
- walaʿiban
- وَلَعِبًا
- and play
- wagharrathumu
- وَغَرَّتْهُمُ
- and deluded them
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَاۚ
- (of) the world"
- fal-yawma
- فَٱلْيَوْمَ
- So today
- nansāhum
- نَنسَىٰهُمْ
- We forget them
- kamā
- كَمَا
- as
- nasū
- نَسُوا۟
- they forgot
- liqāa
- لِقَآءَ
- (the) meeting
- yawmihim
- يَوْمِهِمْ
- (of) their day
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and [what]
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- (as) they used to
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- with Our Verses
- yajḥadūna
- يَجْحَدُونَ
- they reject
Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 51)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ جِئْنٰهُمْ بِكِتٰبٍ فَصَّلْنٰهُ عَلٰى عِلْمٍ هُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يُّؤْمِنُوْنَ ٥٢
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- ji'nāhum
- جِئْنَٰهُم
- We had brought (to) them
- bikitābin
- بِكِتَٰبٍ
- a Book
- faṣṣalnāhu
- فَصَّلْنَٰهُ
- which We have explained
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- with
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍ
- knowledge -
- hudan
- هُدًى
- a guidance
- waraḥmatan
- وَرَحْمَةً
- and mercy
- liqawmin
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- who believe
And We had certainly brought them a Book which We detailed by knowledge – as guidance and mercy to a people who believe. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 52)Tafsir
هَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّا تَأْوِيْلَهٗۗ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيْ تَأْوِيْلُهٗ يَقُوْلُ الَّذِيْنَ نَسُوْهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاۤءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّۚ فَهَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ شُفَعَاۤءَ فَيَشْفَعُوْا لَنَآ اَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِيْ كُنَّا نَعْمَلُۗ قَدْ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ࣖ ٥٣

- تَأْوِيلَهُۥۚ
- (for) its fulfillment

- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day

- تَأْوِيلُهُۥ
- its fulfillment
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- will say
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- nasūhu
- نَسُوهُ
- had forgotten it
- min

- from
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- qad
- قَدْ
- "Verily
- jāat
- جَآءَتْ
- had come
- rusulu
- رُسُلُ
- (the) Messengers
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- (of) our Lord
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- with the truth
- fahal
- فَهَل
- so are (there)
- lanā
- لَّنَا
- for us
- min
- مِن
- any
- shufaʿāa
- شُفَعَآءَ
- intercessors
- fayashfaʿū
- فَيَشْفَعُوا۟
- so (that) they intercede
- lanā
- لَنَآ
- for us
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- nuraddu
- نُرَدُّ
- we are sent back
- fanaʿmala
- فَنَعْمَلَ
- so (that) we do (deeds)
- ghayra
- غَيْرَ
- other than
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- that which
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we used to
- naʿmalu
- نَعْمَلُۚ
- do"
- qad
- قَدْ
- Verily
- khasirū
- خَسِرُوٓا۟
- they lost
- anfusahum
- أَنفُسَهُمْ
- themselves
- waḍalla
- وَضَلَّ
- and strayed
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُم
- from them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaftarūna
- يَفْتَرُونَ
- invent
Do they await except its result? The Day its result comes, those who had ignored it before will say, "The messengers of our Lord had come with the truth, so are there [now] any intercessors to intercede for us or could we be sent back to do other than what we used to do?" They will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 53)Tafsir
اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ فِيْ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِۗ يُغْشِى الَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهٗ حَثِيْثًاۙ وَّالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُوْمَ مُسَخَّرٰتٍۢ بِاَمْرِهٖٓ ۙاَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْاَمْرُۗ تَبٰرَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٥٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbakumu
- رَبَّكُمُ
- your Lord
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (is) Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sittati
- سِتَّةِ
- six
- ayyāmin
- أَيَّامٍ
- epochs
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- is'tawā
- ٱسْتَوَىٰ
- He ascended
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-ʿarshi
- ٱلْعَرْشِ
- the Throne
- yugh'shī
- يُغْشِى
- He covers
- al-layla
- ٱلَّيْلَ
- the night
- l-nahāra
- ٱلنَّهَارَ
- (with) the day
- yaṭlubuhu
- يَطْلُبُهُۥ
- seeking it
- ḥathīthan
- حَثِيثًا
- rapidly
- wal-shamsa
- وَٱلشَّمْسَ
- and the sun
- wal-qamara
- وَٱلْقَمَرَ
- and the moon
- wal-nujūma
- وَٱلنُّجُومَ
- and the stars -
- musakharātin
- مُسَخَّرَٰتٍۭ
- subjected
- bi-amrihi
- بِأَمْرِهِۦٓۗ
- by His command
- alā
- أَلَا
- Unquestionably
- lahu
- لَهُ
- for Him
- l-khalqu
- ٱلْخَلْقُ
- (is) the creation
- wal-amru
- وَٱلْأَمْرُۗ
- and the command
- tabāraka
- تَبَارَكَ
- blessed
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (is) Allah
- rabbu
- رَبُّ
- Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 54)Tafsir
اُدْعُوْا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَّخُفْيَةً ۗاِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِيْنَۚ ٥٥
- id'ʿū
- ٱدْعُوا۟
- Call upon
- rabbakum
- رَبَّكُمْ
- your Lord
- taḍarruʿan
- تَضَرُّعًا
- humbly
- wakhuf'yatan
- وَخُفْيَةًۚ
- and privately
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- love
- l-muʿ'tadīna
- ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ
- the transgressors
Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 55)Tafsir
وَلَا تُفْسِدُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ بَعْدَ اِصْلَاحِهَا وَادْعُوْهُ خَوْفًا وَّطَمَعًاۗ اِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللّٰهِ قَرِيْبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ ٥٦
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tuf'sidū
- تُفْسِدُوا۟
- cause corruption
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- iṣ'lāḥihā
- إِصْلَٰحِهَا
- its reformation
- wa-id'ʿūhu
- وَٱدْعُوهُ
- And call Him
- khawfan
- خَوْفًا
- (in) fear
- waṭamaʿan
- وَطَمَعًاۚ
- and hope
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- raḥmata
- رَحْمَتَ
- (the) Mercy
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- qarībun
- قَرِيبٌ
- (is) near
- mina
- مِّنَ
- for
- l-muḥ'sinīna
- ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
- the good-doers
And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 56)Tafsir
وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيٰحَ بُشْرًاۢ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهٖۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَآ اَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا سُقْنٰهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَاَنْزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاۤءَ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِهٖ مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرٰتِۗ كَذٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتٰى لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٥٧
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- yur'silu
- يُرْسِلُ
- sends
- l-riyāḥa
- ٱلرِّيَٰحَ
- the winds
- bush'ran
- بُشْرًۢا
- (as) glad tidings
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- from
- yaday
- يَدَىْ
- before
- raḥmatihi
- رَحْمَتِهِۦۖ
- His Mercy
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَآ
- when
- aqallat
- أَقَلَّتْ
- they have carried
- saḥāban
- سَحَابًا
- clouds
- thiqālan
- ثِقَالًا
- heavy
- suq'nāhu
- سُقْنَٰهُ
- We drive them
- libaladin
- لِبَلَدٍ
- to a land
- mayyitin
- مَّيِّتٍ
- dead
- fa-anzalnā
- فَأَنزَلْنَا
- then We send down
- bihi
- بِهِ
- from it
- l-māa
- ٱلْمَآءَ
- the water
- fa-akhrajnā
- فَأَخْرَجْنَا
- then We bring forth
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- from it
- min
- مِن
- (of)
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- all (kinds)
- l-thamarāti
- ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِۚ
- (of) fruits
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- nukh'riju
- نُخْرِجُ
- We will bring forth
- l-mawtā
- ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
- the dead
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- take heed
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy [i.e., rainfall] until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 57)Tafsir
وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهٗ بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهٖۚ وَالَّذِيْ خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ اِلَّا نَكِدًاۗ كَذٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْاٰيٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَّشْكُرُوْنَ ࣖ ٥٨
- wal-baladu
- وَٱلْبَلَدُ
- And the land -
- l-ṭayibu
- ٱلطَّيِّبُ
- [the] pure
- yakhruju
- يَخْرُجُ
- comes forth
- nabātuhu
- نَبَاتُهُۥ
- its vegetation
- bi-idh'ni
- بِإِذْنِ
- by (the) permission
- rabbihi
- رَبِّهِۦۖ
- (of) its Lord
- wa-alladhī
- وَٱلَّذِى
- but which
- khabutha
- خَبُثَ
- is bad -
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yakhruju
- يَخْرُجُ
- come forth
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- nakidan
- نَكِدًاۚ
- (with) difficulty
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- nuṣarrifu
- نُصَرِّفُ
- We explain
- l-āyāti
- ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
- the Signs
- liqawmin
- لِقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yashkurūna
- يَشْكُرُونَ
- who are grateful
And the good land – its vegetation emerges by permission of its Lord; but that which is bad – nothing emerges except sparsely, with difficulty. Thus do We diversify the signs for a people who are grateful. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 58)Tafsir
لَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖ فَقَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ اِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهٗۗ اِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ ٥٩
- laqad
- لَقَدْ
- Certainly
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- nūḥan
- نُوحًا
- Nuh
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- qawmihi
- قَوْمِهِۦ
- his people
- faqāla
- فَقَالَ
- and he said
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- uʿ'budū
- ٱعْبُدُوا۟
- Worship
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- not
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- min
- مِّنْ
- any
- ilāhin
- إِلَٰهٍ
- god
- ghayruhu
- غَيْرُهُۥٓ
- other than Him
- innī
- إِنِّىٓ
- Indeed I
- akhāfu
- أَخَافُ
- [I] fear
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- for you
- ʿadhāba
- عَذَابَ
- punishment
- yawmin
- يَوْمٍ
- (of the) Day
- ʿaẓīmin
- عَظِيمٍ
- Great"
We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a tremendous Day." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 59)Tafsir
قَالَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِهٖٓ اِنَّا لَنَرٰىكَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ ٦٠
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Said
- l-mala-u
- ٱلْمَلَأُ
- the chiefs
- min
- مِن
- of
- qawmihi
- قَوْمِهِۦٓ
- his people
- innā
- إِنَّا
- "Indeed, we
- lanarāka
- لَنَرَىٰكَ
- surely see you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- ḍalālin
- ضَلَٰلٍ
- error"
- mubīnin
- مُّبِينٍ
- clear"
Said the eminent among his people, "Indeed, we see you in clear error." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 60)Tafsir
