۞ يٰبَنِيْٓ اٰدَمَ خُذُوْا زِيْنَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَّكُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا وَلَا تُسْرِفُوْاۚ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِيْنَ ࣖ ٣١
- yābanī
- يَٰبَنِىٓ
- O Children
- ādama
- ءَادَمَ
- (of) Adam!
- khudhū
- خُذُوا۟
- Take
- zīnatakum
- زِينَتَكُمْ
- your adornment
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- at
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- masjidin
- مَسْجِدٍ
- masjid
- wakulū
- وَكُلُوا۟
- and eat
- wa-ish'rabū
- وَٱشْرَبُوا۟
- and drink
- walā
- وَلَا
- but (do) not
- tus'rifū
- تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ۚ
- be extravagant
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed He
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- love
- l-mus'rifīna
- ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
- the extravagant ones
O children of Adam, take your adornment [i.e., wear your clothing] at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 31)Tafsir
قُلْ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِيْنَةَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِيْٓ اَخْرَجَ لِعِبَادِهٖ وَالطَّيِّبٰتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِۗ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فِى الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا خَالِصَةً يَّوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِۗ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْاٰيٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَّعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٢

- مَنْ
- "Who
- ḥarrama
- حَرَّمَ
- has forbidden
- zīnata
- زِينَةَ
- (the) adornment
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (from) Allah
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِىٓ
- which
- akhraja
- أَخْرَجَ
- He has brought forth
- liʿibādihi
- لِعِبَادِهِۦ
- for His slaves
- wal-ṭayibāti
- وَٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
- and the pure things
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-riz'qi
- ٱلرِّزْقِۚ
- sustenance?"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- hiya
- هِىَ
- "They
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- (are) for those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- fī
- فِى
- during
- l-ḥayati
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- khāliṣatan
- خَالِصَةً
- exclusively (for them)
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) Day
- l-qiyāmati
- ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِۗ
- (of) Resurrection
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- nufaṣṣilu
- نُفَصِّلُ
- We explain
- l-āyāti
- ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
- the Signs
- liqawmin
- لِقَوْمٍ
- for (the) people
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- who know"
Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of [i.e., from] Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?" Say, "They are for those who believed during the life of this world, exclusively [for them] on the Day of Resurrection." Thus do We detail the verses for a people who know. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 32)Tafsir
قُلْ اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْاِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَاَنْ تُشْرِكُوْا بِاللّٰهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهٖ سُلْطٰنًا وَّاَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٣

- Say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- "Only
- ḥarrama
- حَرَّمَ
- (had) forbidden
- rabbiya
- رَبِّىَ
- my Lord
- l-fawāḥisha
- ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ
- the shameful deeds
- mā
- مَا
- what
- ẓahara
- ظَهَرَ
- (is) apparent
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- of it
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- baṭana
- بَطَنَ
- is concealed
- wal-ith'ma
- وَٱلْإِثْمَ
- and the sin
- wal-baghya
- وَٱلْبَغْىَ
- and the oppression
- bighayri
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- [the] right
- wa-an
- وَأَن
- and that
- tush'rikū
- تُشْرِكُوا۟
- you associate (others)
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- with Allah
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yunazzil
- يُنَزِّلْ
- He (has) sent down
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- of it
- sul'ṭānan
- سُلْطَٰنًا
- any authority
- wa-an
- وَأَن
- and that
- taqūlū
- تَقُولُوا۟
- you say
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- about
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not"
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you know"
Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed – and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 33)Tafsir
وَلِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ اَجَلٌۚ فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُوْنَ سَاعَةً وَّلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُوْنَ ٣٤
- walikulli
- وَلِكُلِّ
- And for every
- ummatin
- أُمَّةٍ
- nation
- ajalun
- أَجَلٌۖ
- (is a fixed) term
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- So when
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- comes
- ajaluhum
- أَجَلُهُمْ
- their term
- lā
- لَا
- (they can) not
- yastakhirūna
- يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ
- seek to delay
- sāʿatan
- سَاعَةًۖ
- an hour
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yastaqdimūna
- يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
- seek to advance (it)
And for every nation is a [specified] term. So when their time has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 34)Tafsir
يٰبَنِيْٓ اٰدَمَ اِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْكُمْ يَقُصُّوْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِيْۙ فَمَنِ اتَّقٰى وَاَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ ٣٥
- yābanī
- يَٰبَنِىٓ
- O Children
- ādama
- ءَادَمَ
- (of) Adam!
- immā
- إِمَّا
- If
- yatiyannakum
- يَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ
- comes to you
- rusulun
- رُسُلٌ
- Messengers
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- from you
- yaquṣṣūna
- يَقُصُّونَ
- relating
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- to you
- āyātī
- ءَايَٰتِىۙ
- My Verses
- famani
- فَمَنِ
- then whoever
- ittaqā
- ٱتَّقَىٰ
- fears Allah
- wa-aṣlaḥa
- وَأَصْلَحَ
- and reforms
- falā
- فَلَا
- then no
- khawfun
- خَوْفٌ
- fear
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- on them
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yaḥzanūna
- يَحْزَنُونَ
- will grieve
O children of Adam, if there come to you messengers from among you relating to you My verses [i.e., scriptures and laws], then whoever fears Allah and reforms – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 35)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا عَنْهَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِۚ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ ٣٦
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- But those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- deny
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Verses
- wa-is'takbarū
- وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
- and (are) arrogant
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَآ
- towards them
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِۖ
- (of) the Fire
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- khālidūna
- خَٰلِدُونَ
- will abide forever
But the ones who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them – those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 36)Tafsir
فَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِاٰيٰتِهٖۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيْبُهُمْ مِّنَ الْكِتٰبِۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْۙ قَالُوْٓا اَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ ۗقَالُوْا ضَلُّوْا عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوْا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْ اَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا كٰفِرِيْنَ ٣٧
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- Then who
- aẓlamu
- أَظْلَمُ
- (is) more unjust
- mimmani
- مِمَّنِ
- than (one) who
- if'tarā
- ٱفْتَرَىٰ
- invented
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- kadhiban
- كَذِبًا
- a lie
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- denies
- biāyātihi
- بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۚ
- His Verses?
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- yanāluhum
- يَنَالُهُمْ
- will reach them
- naṣībuhum
- نَصِيبُهُم
- their portion
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِۖ
- the Book
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- jāathum
- جَآءَتْهُمْ
- comes to them
- rusulunā
- رُسُلُنَا
- Our messengers (Angels)
- yatawaffawnahum
- يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ
- (to) take them in death
- qālū
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they say
- ayna
- أَيْنَ
- "Where are
- mā
- مَا
- those (whom)
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- invoke
- min
- مِن
- from
- dūni
- دُونِ
- besides
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They say
- ḍallū
- ضَلُّوا۟
- "They strayed
- ʿannā
- عَنَّا
- from us
- washahidū
- وَشَهِدُوا۟
- and they (will) testify
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- against
- anfusihim
- أَنفُسِهِمْ
- themselves
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- kāfirīna
- كَٰفِرِينَ
- disbelievers
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Those will attain their portion of the decree until, when Our messengers [i.e., angels] come to them to take them in death, they will say, "Where are those you used to invoke besides Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us," and will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 37)Tafsir
قَالَ ادْخُلُوْا فِيْٓ اُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ فِى النَّارِۙ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ اُمَّةٌ لَّعَنَتْ اُخْتَهَا ۗحَتّٰٓى اِذَا ادَّارَكُوْا فِيْهَا جَمِيْعًا ۙقَالَتْ اُخْرٰىهُمْ لِاُوْلٰىهُمْ رَبَّنَا هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ اَضَلُّوْنَا فَاٰتِهِمْ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا مِّنَ النَّارِ ەۗ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَّلٰكِنْ لَّا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٨

- He (will) say
- ud'khulū
- ٱدْخُلُوا۟
- "Enter
- fī
- فِىٓ
- among
- umamin
- أُمَمٍ
- (the) nations
- qad
- قَدْ
- (who)
- khalat
- خَلَتْ
- passed away
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablikum
- قَبْلِكُم
- before you
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-jini
- ٱلْجِنِّ
- the jinn
- wal-insi
- وَٱلْإِنسِ
- and the men
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِۖ
- the Fire"
- kullamā
- كُلَّمَا
- Every time
- dakhalat
- دَخَلَتْ
- entered
- ummatun
- أُمَّةٌ
- a nation
- laʿanat
- لَّعَنَتْ
- it cursed
- ukh'tahā
- أُخْتَهَاۖ
- its sister (nation)
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- iddārakū
- ٱدَّارَكُوا۟
- they had overtaken one another
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all
- qālat
- قَالَتْ
- (will) say
- ukh'rāhum
- أُخْرَىٰهُمْ
- (the) last of them
- liūlāhum
- لِأُولَىٰهُمْ
- about the first of them
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord
- hāulāi
- هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- these
- aḍallūnā
- أَضَلُّونَا
- misled us
- faātihim
- فَـَٔاتِهِمْ
- so give them
- ʿadhāban
- عَذَابًا
- punishment
- ḍiʿ'fan
- ضِعْفًا
- double
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِۖ
- the Fire"
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He (will) say
- likullin
- لِكُلٍّ
- "For each
- ḍiʿ'fun
- ضِعْفٌ
- (is) a double
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- [and] but
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you know"
[Allah] will say, "Enter among nations which had passed on before you of jinn and mankind into the Fire." Every time a nation enters, it will curse its sister until, when they have all overtaken one another therein, the last of them will say about the first of them, "Our Lord, these had misled us, so give them a double punishment of the Fire." He will say, "For each is double, but you do not know." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 38)Tafsir
وَقَالَتْ اُوْلٰىهُمْ لِاُخْرٰىهُمْ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا مِنْ فَضْلٍ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْسِبُوْنَ ࣖ ٣٩
- waqālat
- وَقَالَتْ
- And (will) say
- ūlāhum
- أُولَىٰهُمْ
- (the) first of them
- li-ukh'rāhum
- لِأُخْرَىٰهُمْ
- to (the) last of them
- famā
- فَمَا
- "Then not
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- for you
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- upon us
- min
- مِن
- any
- faḍlin
- فَضْلٍ
- superiority
- fadhūqū
- فَذُوقُوا۟
- so taste
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- taksibūna
- تَكْسِبُونَ
- earn"
And the first of them will say to the last of them, "Then you had not any favor over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 39)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوْا عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ اَبْوَابُ السَّمَاۤءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُوْنَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتّٰى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ فِيْ سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِ ۗ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ ٤٠
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Verses
- wa-is'takbarū
- وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
- and (were) arrogant
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- towards them
- lā
- لَا
- (will) not
- tufattaḥu
- تُفَتَّحُ
- be opened
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- abwābu
- أَبْوَٰبُ
- (the) doors
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- (of) the heaven
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yadkhulūna
- يَدْخُلُونَ
- they will enter
- l-janata
- ٱلْجَنَّةَ
- Paradise
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yalija
- يَلِجَ
- passes
- l-jamalu
- ٱلْجَمَلُ
- the camel
- fī
- فِى
- through
- sammi
- سَمِّ
- (the) eye
- l-khiyāṭi
- ٱلْخِيَاطِۚ
- (of) the needle
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- najzī
- نَجْزِى
- We recompense
- l-muj'rimīna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
- the criminals
Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them – the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle [i.e., never]. And thus do We recompense the criminals. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 40)Tafsir
