تِلْكَ الْقُرٰى نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ اَنْۢبَاۤىِٕهَاۚ وَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِۚ فَمَا كَانُوْا لِيُؤْمِنُوْا بِمَا كَذَّبُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُۗ كَذٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ ١٠١
- til'ka
- تِلْكَ
- These
- l-qurā
- ٱلْقُرَىٰ
- (were) the cities
- naquṣṣu
- نَقُصُّ
- We relate
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- to you
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- anbāihā
- أَنۢبَآئِهَاۚ
- their news
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- jāathum
- جَآءَتْهُمْ
- came to them
- rusuluhum
- رُسُلُهُم
- their Messengers
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with clear proofs
- famā
- فَمَا
- but not
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- liyu'minū
- لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟
- to believe
- bimā
- بِمَا
- in what
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- they (had) denied
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablu
- قَبْلُۚ
- before
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- yaṭbaʿu
- يَطْبَعُ
- (has been) put a seal
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- qulūbi
- قُلُوبِ
- (the) hearts
- l-kāfirīna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- (of) the disbelievers
Those cities – We relate to you, [O Muhammad], some of their news. And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 101)Tafsir
وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِاَكْثَرِهِمْ مِّنْ عَهْدٍۚ وَاِنْ وَّجَدْنَآ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفٰسِقِيْنَ ١٠٢
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- wajadnā
- وَجَدْنَا
- We found
- li-aktharihim
- لِأَكْثَرِهِم
- for most of them
- min
- مِّنْ
- [of]
- ʿahdin
- عَهْدٍۖ
- (any) covenant
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- But
- wajadnā
- وَجَدْنَآ
- We found
- aktharahum
- أَكْثَرَهُمْ
- most of them
- lafāsiqīna
- لَفَٰسِقِينَ
- certainly defiantly disobedient
And We did not find for most of them any covenant; but indeed, We found most of them defiantly disobedient. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 102)Tafsir
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ مُّوْسٰى بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَا۟ىِٕهٖ فَظَلَمُوْا بِهَاۚ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِيْنَ ١٠٣
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- baʿathnā
- بَعَثْنَا
- We sent
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdihim
- بَعْدِهِم
- after them
- mūsā
- مُّوسَىٰ
- Musa
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- with Our Signs
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- wamala-ihi
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ
- and his chiefs
- faẓalamū
- فَظَلَمُوا۟
- But they were unjust
- bihā
- بِهَاۖ
- to them
- fa-unẓur
- فَٱنظُرْ
- So see
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- l-muf'sidīna
- ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
- (of) the corrupters
Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 103)Tafsir
وَقَالَ مُوْسٰى يٰفِرْعَوْنُ اِنِّيْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ ١٠٤
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- yāfir'ʿawnu
- يَٰفِرْعَوْنُ
- "O Firaun!
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed, I am
- rasūlun
- رَسُولٌ
- a Messenger
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbi
- رَّبِّ
- (the) Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 104)Tafsir
حَقِيْقٌ عَلٰٓى اَنْ لَّآ اَقُوْلَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّۗ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِبَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ فَاَرْسِلْ مَعِيَ بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ ۗ ١٠٥
- ḥaqīqun
- حَقِيقٌ
- Obligated
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- on
- an
- أَن
- that
- lā
- لَّآ
- not
- aqūla
- أَقُولَ
- I say
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- about
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ḥaqa
- ٱلْحَقَّۚ
- the truth
- qad
- قَدْ
- Verily
- ji'tukum
- جِئْتُكُم
- I (have) come to you
- bibayyinatin
- بِبَيِّنَةٍ
- with a clear Sign
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- fa-arsil
- فَأَرْسِلْ
- so send
- maʿiya
- مَعِىَ
- with me
- banī
- بَنِىٓ
- (the) Children
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- (of) Israel"
[Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 105)Tafsir
قَالَ اِنْ كُنْتَ جِئْتَ بِاٰيَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَآ اِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيْنَ ١٠٦
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He said
- in
- إِن
- "If
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you have
- ji'ta
- جِئْتَ
- come
- biāyatin
- بِـَٔايَةٍ
- with a Sign
- fati
- فَأْتِ
- then bring
- bihā
- بِهَآ
- it
- in
- إِن
- if
- kunta
- كُنتَ
- you are
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ṣādiqīna
- ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
- the truthful"
[Pharaoh] said, "If you have come with a sign, then bring it forth, if you should be of the truthful." (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 106)Tafsir
فَاَلْقٰى عَصَاهُ فَاِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ۖ ١٠٧
- fa-alqā
- فَأَلْقَىٰ
- So he threw
- ʿaṣāhu
- عَصَاهُ
- his staff
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- and suddenly
- hiya
- هِىَ
- it
- thuʿ'bānun
- ثُعْبَانٌ
- (was) a serpent
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- manifest
So he [i.e., Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent, manifest. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 107)Tafsir
وَّنَزَعَ يَدَهٗ فَاِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاۤءُ لِلنّٰظِرِيْنَ ࣖ ١٠٨
- wanazaʿa
- وَنَزَعَ
- And he drew out
- yadahu
- يَدَهُۥ
- his hand
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- and suddenly
- hiya
- هِىَ
- it
- bayḍāu
- بَيْضَآءُ
- (was) white
- lilnnāẓirīna
- لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ
- for the observers
And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 108)Tafsir
قَالَ الْمَلَاُ مِنْ قَوْمِ فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّ هٰذَا لَسٰحِرٌ عَلِيْمٌۙ ١٠٩
- qāla
- قَالَ
- Said
- l-mala-u
- ٱلْمَلَأُ
- the chiefs
- min
- مِن
- of
- qawmi
- قَوْمِ
- (the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- lasāḥirun
- لَسَٰحِرٌ
- (is) surely a magician -
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- learned
Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 109)Tafsir
يُّرِيْدُ اَنْ يُّخْرِجَكُمْ مِّنْ اَرْضِكُمْ ۚ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُوْنَ ١١٠
- yurīdu
- يُرِيدُ
- He wants
- an
- أَن
- to
- yukh'rijakum
- يُخْرِجَكُم
- drive you out
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- arḍikum
- أَرْضِكُمْۖ
- your land
- famādhā
- فَمَاذَا
- so what
- tamurūna
- تَأْمُرُونَ
- (do) you instruct?"
Who wants to expel you from your land [through magic], so what do you instruct?" (QS. [7] Al-A'raf: 110)Tafsir
