ثُمَّ الْجَحِيْمَ صَلُّوْهُۙ ٣١
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- l-jaḥīma
- ٱلْجَحِيمَ
- (into) the Hellfire
- ṣallūhu
- صَلُّوهُ
- burn him
Then into Hellfire drive him. (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 31)Tafsir

ثُمَّ فِيْ سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُوْنَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوْهُۗ ٣٢
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- fī
- فِى
- into
- sil'silatin
- سِلْسِلَةٍ
- a chain
- dharʿuhā
- ذَرْعُهَا
- its length
- sabʿūna
- سَبْعُونَ
- (is) seventy
- dhirāʿan
- ذِرَاعًا
- cubits
- fa-us'lukūhu
- فَٱسْلُكُوهُ
- insert him"
Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 32)Tafsir
33
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِۙ ٣٣
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed, he
- kāna
- كَانَ
- (did)
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yu'minu
- يُؤْمِنُ
- believe
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- l-ʿaẓīmi
- ٱلْعَظِيمِ
- the Most Great
Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah, the Most Great, (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 33)Tafsir
34
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِۗ ٣٤
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (did) not
- yaḥuḍḍu
- يَحُضُّ
- feel the urge
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ṭaʿāmi
- طَعَامِ
- (the) feeding
- l-mis'kīni
- ٱلْمِسْكِينِ
- (of) the poor
Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 34)Tafsir
35
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هٰهُنَا حَمِيْمٌۙ ٣٥
- falaysa
- فَلَيْسَ
- So not
- lahu
- لَهُ
- for him
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- today
- hāhunā
- هَٰهُنَا
- here
- ḥamīmun
- حَمِيمٌ
- any devoted friend
So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 35)Tafsir
36
وَّلَا طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِيْنٍۙ ٣٦
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- ṭaʿāmun
- طَعَامٌ
- any food
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- min
- مِنْ
- from
- ghis'līnin
- غِسْلِينٍ
- (the) discharge of wounds
Nor any food except from the discharge of wounds; (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 36)Tafsir
37
لَّا يَأْكُلُهٗٓ اِلَّا الْخَاطِـُٔوْنَ ࣖ ٣٧
- lā
- لَّا
- Not
- yakuluhu
- يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ
- will eat it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-khāṭiūna
- ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ
- the sinners
None will eat it except the sinners. (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 37)Tafsir
38
فَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ ٣٨
- falā
- فَلَآ
- But nay!
- uq'simu
- أُقْسِمُ
- I swear
- bimā
- بِمَا
- by what
- tub'ṣirūna
- تُبْصِرُونَ
- you see
So I swear by what you see (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 38)Tafsir
39
وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ ٣٩
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And what
- lā
- لَا
- not
- tub'ṣirūna
- تُبْصِرُونَ
- you see
And what you do not see (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 39)Tafsir
40
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍۙ ٤٠
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed it (is)
- laqawlu
- لَقَوْلُ
- surely (the) Word
- rasūlin
- رَسُولٍ
- (of) a Messenger
- karīmin
- كَرِيمٍ
- noble
[That] indeed, it [i.e., the Quran] is the word of a noble Messenger. (QS. [69] Al-Haqqah: 40)Tafsir
