Al-Qur'an Surah At-Talaq Verse 9
At-Talaq [65]: 9 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ اَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ اَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا (الطلاق : ٦٥)
- fadhāqat
- فَذَاقَتْ
- So it tasted
- wabāla
- وَبَالَ
- (the) bad consequence
- amrihā
- أَمْرِهَا
- (of) its affair
- wakāna
- وَكَانَ
- and was
- ʿāqibatu
- عَٰقِبَةُ
- (the) end
- amrihā
- أَمْرِهَا
- (of) its affair
- khus'ran
- خُسْرًا
- loss
Transliteration:
Fazaaqat wabbala amrihaa wa kaana 'aaqibatu amrihaa khusraa(QS. aṭ-Ṭalāq̈:9)
English / Sahih Translation:
And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair [i.e., rebellion], and the outcome of its affair was loss. (QS. At-Talaq, ayah 9)

Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا
So it tasted the evil result of its affair,
meaning, they tasted the evil consequences of defiance and they regretted their actions when regret does not avail,
وَكَانَ عَاقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا
