وَاِذَا رَاَوْا تِجَارَةً اَوْ لَهْوًا ۨانْفَضُّوْٓا اِلَيْهَا وَتَرَكُوْكَ قَاۤىِٕمًاۗ قُلْ مَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ خَيْرٌ مِّنَ اللَّهْوِ وَمِنَ التِّجَارَةِۗ وَاللّٰهُ خَيْرُ الرّٰزِقِيْنَ ࣖ ١١
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- ra-aw
- رَأَوْا۟
- they saw
- tijāratan
- تِجَٰرَةً
- a transaction
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- lahwan
- لَهْوًا
- a sport
- infaḍḍū
- ٱنفَضُّوٓا۟
- they rushed
- ilayhā
- إِلَيْهَا
- to it
- watarakūka
- وَتَرَكُوكَ
- and left you
- qāiman
- قَآئِمًاۚ
- standing
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- mā
- مَا
- "What
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- (is) with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) better
- mina
- مِّنَ
- than
- l-lahwi
- ٱللَّهْوِ
- the sport
- wamina
- وَمِنَ
- and from
- l-tijārati
- ٱلتِّجَٰرَةِۚ
- (any) transaction
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- khayru
- خَيْرُ
- (is the) Best
- l-rāziqīna
- ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
- (of) the Providers"
But [on one occasion] when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers." (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 11)Tafsir
