يُسَبِّحُ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوْسِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَكِيْمِ ١
- yusabbiḥu
- يُسَبِّحُ
- Glorifies
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- l-maliki
- ٱلْمَلِكِ
- the Sovereign
- l-qudūsi
- ٱلْقُدُّوسِ
- the Holy
- l-ʿazīzi
- ٱلْعَزِيزِ
- the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmi
- ٱلْحَكِيمِ
- the All-Wise
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth is exalting Allah, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 1)Tafsir
هُوَ الَّذِيْ بَعَثَ فِى الْاُمِّيّٖنَ رَسُوْلًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتِهٖ وَيُزَكِّيْهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَاِنْ كَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِيْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍۙ ٢
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- baʿatha
- بَعَثَ
- sent
- fī
- فِى
- among
- l-umiyīna
- ٱلْأُمِّيِّۦنَ
- the unlettered
- rasūlan
- رَسُولًا
- a Messenger
- min'hum
- مِّنْهُمْ
- from themselves
- yatlū
- يَتْلُوا۟
- reciting
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- to them
- āyātihi
- ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
- His Verses
- wayuzakkīhim
- وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ
- and purifying them
- wayuʿallimuhumu
- وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
- and teaching them
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- wal-ḥik'mata
- وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
- and the wisdom
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- although
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- lafī
- لَفِى
- surely in
- ḍalālin
- ضَلَٰلٍ
- an error
- mubīnin
- مُّبِينٍ
- clear
It is He who has sent among the unlettered [Arabs] a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book [i.e., the Quran] and wisdom [i.e., the sunnah] – although they were before in clear error – (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 2)Tafsir
وَّاٰخَرِيْنَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوْا بِهِمْۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُۙ ٣
- waākharīna
- وَءَاخَرِينَ
- And others
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- among them
- lammā
- لَمَّا
- who have not yet
- yalḥaqū
- يَلْحَقُوا۟
- joined
- bihim
- بِهِمْۚ
- them
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
And [to] others of them who have not yet joined them. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 3)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللّٰهِ يُؤْتِيْهِ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَاللّٰهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيْمِ ٤
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- faḍlu
- فَضْلُ
- (is the) Bounty
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- yu'tīhi
- يُؤْتِيهِ
- He gives it
- man
- مَن
- (to) whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُۚ
- He wills
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- dhū
- ذُو
- (is the) Possessor
- l-faḍli
- ٱلْفَضْلِ
- (of) Bounty
- l-ʿaẓīmi
- ٱلْعَظِيمِ
- the Great
That is the bounty of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 4)Tafsir
مَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرٰىةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوْهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ اَسْفَارًاۗ بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۗوَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٥
- mathalu
- مَثَلُ
- (The) likeness
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those who
- ḥummilū
- حُمِّلُوا۟
- were entrusted
- l-tawrāta
- ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ
- (with) the Taurat
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yaḥmilūhā
- يَحْمِلُوهَا
- they bore it
- kamathali
- كَمَثَلِ
- (is) like
- l-ḥimāri
- ٱلْحِمَارِ
- the donkey
- yaḥmilu
- يَحْمِلُ
- who carries
- asfāran
- أَسْفَارًۢاۚ
- books
- bi'sa
- بِئْسَ
- Wretched is
- mathalu
- مَثَلُ
- (the) example
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- (of) the people
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- deny
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- (of) Allah
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah and then did not take it on is like that of a donkey who carries volumes [of books]. Wretched is the example of the people who deny the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 5)Tafsir
قُلْ يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوْٓا اِنْ زَعَمْتُمْ اَنَّكُمْ اَوْلِيَاۤءُ لِلّٰهِ مِنْ دُوْنِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا الْمَوْتَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٦
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- "O!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- "you (who)!
- hādū
- هَادُوٓا۟
- "(are) Jews!
- in
- إِن
- If
- zaʿamtum
- زَعَمْتُمْ
- you claim
- annakum
- أَنَّكُمْ
- that you
- awliyāu
- أَوْلِيَآءُ
- (are) allies
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- of Allah
- min
- مِن
- from
- dūni
- دُونِ
- excluding
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the people
- fatamannawū
- فَتَمَنَّوُا۟
- then wish
- l-mawta
- ٱلْمَوْتَ
- (for) the death
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful"
Say, "O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, excluding the [other] people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful." (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 6)Tafsir
وَلَا يَتَمَنَّوْنَهٗٓ اَبَدًاۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ اَيْدِيْهِمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِالظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٧
- walā
- وَلَا
- But not
- yatamannawnahu
- يَتَمَنَّوْنَهُۥٓ
- they will wish for it
- abadan
- أَبَدًۢا
- ever
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- qaddamat
- قَدَّمَتْ
- have sent forth
- aydīhim
- أَيْدِيهِمْۚ
- their hands
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌۢ
- (is) All-Knowing
- bil-ẓālimīna
- بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- of the wrongdoers
But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 7)Tafsir
قُلْ اِنَّ الْمَوْتَ الَّذِيْ تَفِرُّوْنَ مِنْهُ فَاِنَّهٗ مُلٰقِيْكُمْ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّوْنَ اِلٰى عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ ࣖ ٨
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-mawta
- ٱلْمَوْتَ
- the death
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- which
- tafirrūna
- تَفِرُّونَ
- you flee
- min'hu
- مِنْهُ
- from it
- fa-innahu
- فَإِنَّهُۥ
- then surely it
- mulāqīkum
- مُلَٰقِيكُمْۖ
- (will) meet you
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- turaddūna
- تُرَدُّونَ
- you will be sent back
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- ʿālimi
- عَٰلِمِ
- (the) All-Knower
- l-ghaybi
- ٱلْغَيْبِ
- (of) the unseen
- wal-shahādati
- وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ
- and the witnessed
- fayunabbi-ukum
- فَيُنَبِّئُكُم
- and He will inform you
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- taʿmalūna
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do"
Say, "Indeed, the death from which you flee – indeed, it will meet you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, and He will inform you about what you used to do." (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 8)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا نُوْدِيَ لِلصَّلٰوةِ مِنْ يَّوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا اِلٰى ذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَۗ ذٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٩
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (you) who!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believe!
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- nūdiya
- نُودِىَ
- (the) call is made
- lilṣṣalati
- لِلصَّلَوٰةِ
- for (the) prayer
- min
- مِن
- on
- yawmi
- يَوْمِ
- (the) day
- l-jumuʿati
- ٱلْجُمُعَةِ
- (of) Friday
- fa-is'ʿaw
- فَٱسْعَوْا۟
- then hasten
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- dhik'ri
- ذِكْرِ
- (the) remembrance
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wadharū
- وَذَرُوا۟
- and leave
- l-bayʿa
- ٱلْبَيْعَۚ
- the business
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُمْ
- That
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) better
- lakum
- لَّكُمْ
- for you
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- know
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 9)Tafsir
فَاِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلٰوةُ فَانْتَشِرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوْا مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِ وَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ كَثِيْرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ ١٠
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- Then when
- quḍiyati
- قُضِيَتِ
- is concluded
- l-ṣalatu
- ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ
- the prayer
- fa-intashirū
- فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟
- then disperse
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the land
- wa-ib'taghū
- وَٱبْتَغُوا۟
- and seek
- min
- مِن
- from
- faḍli
- فَضْلِ
- (the) Bounty
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wa-udh'kurū
- وَٱذْكُرُوا۟
- and remember
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- kathīran
- كَثِيرًا
- much
- laʿallakum
- لَّعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tuf'liḥūna
- تُفْلِحُونَ
- succeed
And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah often that you may succeed. (QS. [62] Al-Jumu'ah: 10)Tafsir
