سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ١
- sabbaḥa
- سَبَّحَ
- Glorifies
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- Allah
- mā
- مَا
- whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and whatever
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِۖ
- the earth
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- l-ʿazīzu
- ٱلْعَزِيزُ
- (is) the All-Mighty
- l-ḥakīmu
- ٱلْحَكِيمُ
- the All-Wise
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 1)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لِمَ تَقُوْلُوْنَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ ٢
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (you) who!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe!
- lima
- لِمَ
- Why
- taqūlūna
- تَقُولُونَ
- (do) you say
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not?
- tafʿalūna
- تَفْعَلُونَ
- you do?
O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do? (QS. [61] As-Saf: 2)Tafsir
كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا مَا لَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ ٣
- kabura
- كَبُرَ
- Great is
- maqtan
- مَقْتًا
- hatred
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- an
- أَن
- that
- taqūlū
- تَقُولُوا۟
- you say
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not?
- tafʿalūna
- تَفْعَلُونَ
- you do?
Greatly hateful in the sight of Allah is that you say what you do not do. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 3)Tafsir
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الَّذِيْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِهٖ صَفًّا كَاَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَّرْصُوْصٌ ٤
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yuḥibbu
- يُحِبُّ
- loves
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yuqātilūna
- يُقَٰتِلُونَ
- fight
- fī
- فِى
- in
- sabīlihi
- سَبِيلِهِۦ
- His Way
- ṣaffan
- صَفًّا
- (in) a row
- ka-annahum
- كَأَنَّهُم
- as if they
- bun'yānun
- بُنْيَٰنٌ
- (were) a structure
- marṣūṣun
- مَّرْصُوصٌ
- joined firmly
Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 4)Tafsir
وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِقَوْمِهٖ يٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تُؤْذُوْنَنِيْ وَقَدْ تَّعْلَمُوْنَ اَنِّيْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ اِلَيْكُمْۗ فَلَمَّا زَاغُوْٓا اَزَاغَ اللّٰهُ قُلُوْبَهُمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الْفٰسِقِيْنَ ٥
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- mūsā
- مُوسَىٰ
- Musa
- liqawmihi
- لِقَوْمِهِۦ
- to his people
- yāqawmi
- يَٰقَوْمِ
- "O my people!
- lima
- لِمَ
- Why
- tu'dhūnanī
- تُؤْذُونَنِى
- do you hurt me
- waqad
- وَقَد
- while certainly
- taʿlamūna
- تَّعْلَمُونَ
- you know
- annī
- أَنِّى
- that I am
- rasūlu
- رَسُولُ
- (the) Messenger
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُمْۖ
- to you?"
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- Then when
- zāghū
- زَاغُوٓا۟
- they deviated
- azāgha
- أَزَاغَ
- (was caused to) deviate
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- qulūbahum
- قُلُوبَهُمْۚ
- their hearts
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-fāsiqīna
- ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
- the defiantly disobedient
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allah to you?" And when they deviated, Allah caused their hearts to deviate. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 5)Tafsir
وَاِذْ قَالَ عِيْسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يٰبَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَ اِنِّيْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ اِلَيْكُمْ مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرٰىةِ وَمُبَشِّرًاۢ بِرَسُوْلٍ يَّأْتِيْ مِنْۢ بَعْدِى اسْمُهٗٓ اَحْمَدُۗ فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ قَالُوْا هٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٦
- wa-idh
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- qāla
- قَالَ
- said
- ʿīsā
- عِيسَى
- Isa
- ub'nu
- ٱبْنُ
- son
- maryama
- مَرْيَمَ
- (of) Maryam
- yābanī
- يَٰبَنِىٓ
- "O Children!
- is'rāīla
- إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
- "(of) Israel!
- innī
- إِنِّى
- Indeed, I am
- rasūlu
- رَسُولُ
- (the) Messenger
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ilaykum
- إِلَيْكُم
- to you
- muṣaddiqan
- مُّصَدِّقًا
- confirming
- limā
- لِّمَا
- that which
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- (was) between
- yadayya
- يَدَىَّ
- my hands
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-tawrāti
- ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
- the Taurat
- wamubashiran
- وَمُبَشِّرًۢا
- and bringing glad tidings
- birasūlin
- بِرَسُولٍ
- (of) a Messenger
- yatī
- يَأْتِى
- to come
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdī
- بَعْدِى
- after me
- us'muhu
- ٱسْمُهُۥٓ
- whose name (will be)
- aḥmadu
- أَحْمَدُۖ
- Ahmad"
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- But when
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُم
- he came to them
- bil-bayināti
- بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ
- with clear proofs
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- "This
- siḥ'run
- سِحْرٌ
- (is) a magic
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." (QS. [61] As-Saf: 6)Tafsir
وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُوَ يُدْعٰىٓ اِلَى الْاِسْلَامِۗ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِى الْقَوْمَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ٧
- waman
- وَمَنْ
- And who
- aẓlamu
- أَظْلَمُ
- (is) more wrong
- mimmani
- مِمَّنِ
- than (one) who
- if'tarā
- ٱفْتَرَىٰ
- invents
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- upon
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- l-kadhiba
- ٱلْكَذِبَ
- the lie
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- while he
- yud'ʿā
- يُدْعَىٰٓ
- is invited
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-is'lāmi
- ٱلْإِسْلَٰمِۚ
- Islam?
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yahdī
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- l-qawma
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- [the] wrongdoers
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah untruth while he is being invited to IsLam. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 7)Tafsir
يُرِيْدُوْنَ لِيُطْفِـُٔوْا نُوْرَ اللّٰهِ بِاَفْوَاهِهِمْۗ وَاللّٰهُ مُتِمُّ نُوْرِهٖ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ ٨
- yurīdūna
- يُرِيدُونَ
- They intend
- liyuṭ'fiū
- لِيُطْفِـُٔوا۟
- to put out
- nūra
- نُورَ
- (the) light
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- bi-afwāhihim
- بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
- with their mouths
- wal-lahu
- وَٱللَّهُ
- but Allah
- mutimmu
- مُتِمُّ
- will perfect
- nūrihi
- نُورِهِۦ
- His Light
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- although
- kariha
- كَرِهَ
- dislike
- l-kāfirūna
- ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ
- the disbelievers
They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 8)Tafsir
هُوَ الَّذِيْٓ اَرْسَلَ رَسُوْلَهٗ بِالْهُدٰى وَدِيْنِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهٗ عَلَى الدِّيْنِ كُلِّهٖۙ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُوْنَ ࣖ ٩
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- (is) the One Who
- arsala
- أَرْسَلَ
- sent
- rasūlahu
- رَسُولَهُۥ
- His Messenger
- bil-hudā
- بِٱلْهُدَىٰ
- with guidance
- wadīni
- وَدِينِ
- and (the) religion
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- (of) the truth
- liyuẓ'hirahu
- لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ
- to make it prevail
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- over
- l-dīni
- ٱلدِّينِ
- the religion
- kullihi
- كُلِّهِۦ
- all of them
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- although
- kariha
- كَرِهَ
- dislike (it)
- l-mush'rikūna
- ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ
- the polytheists
It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it. (QS. [61] As-Saf: 9)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا هَلْ اَدُلُّكُمْ عَلٰى تِجَارَةٍ تُنْجِيْكُمْ مِّنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ ١٠
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (you) who!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe!
- hal
- هَلْ
- Shall
- adullukum
- أَدُلُّكُمْ
- I guide you
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- to
- tijāratin
- تِجَٰرَةٍ
- a transaction
- tunjīkum
- تُنجِيكُم
- (that) will save you
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- ʿadhābin
- عَذَابٍ
- a punishment
- alīmin
- أَلِيمٍ
- painful?
O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment? (QS. [61] As-Saf: 10)Tafsir
