وَاِنْ فَاتَكُمْ شَيْءٌ مِّنْ اَزْوَاجِكُمْ اِلَى الْكُفَّارِ فَعَاقَبْتُمْ فَاٰتُوا الَّذِيْنَ ذَهَبَتْ اَزْوَاجُهُمْ مِّثْلَ مَآ اَنْفَقُوْاۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْتُمْ بِهٖ مُؤْمِنُوْنَ ١١
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- fātakum
- فَاتَكُمْ
- have gone from you
- shayon
- شَىْءٌ
- any
- min
- مِّنْ
- of
- azwājikum
- أَزْوَٰجِكُمْ
- your wives
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-kufāri
- ٱلْكُفَّارِ
- the disbelievers
- faʿāqabtum
- فَعَاقَبْتُمْ
- then your turn comes
- faātū
- فَـَٔاتُوا۟
- then give
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (to) those who
- dhahabat
- ذَهَبَتْ
- have gone
- azwājuhum
- أَزْوَٰجُهُم
- their wives
- mith'la
- مِّثْلَ
- (the) like
- mā
- مَآ
- (of) what
- anfaqū
- أَنفَقُوا۟ۚ
- they had spent
- wa-ittaqū
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- And fear
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- (in) Whom
- antum
- أَنتُم
- you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [in Him]
- mu'minūna
- مُؤْمِنُونَ
- (are) believers
And if you have lost any of your wives to the disbelievers and you subsequently obtain [something], then give those whose wives have gone the equivalent of what they had spent. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers. (QS. [60] Al-Mumtahanah: 11)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ اِذَا جَاۤءَكَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتُ يُبَايِعْنَكَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ لَّا يُشْرِكْنَ بِاللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔا وَّلَا يَسْرِقْنَ وَلَا يَزْنِيْنَ وَلَا يَقْتُلْنَ اَوْلَادَهُنَّ وَلَا يَأْتِيْنَ بِبُهْتَانٍ يَّفْتَرِيْنَهٗ بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِنَّ وَاَرْجُلِهِنَّ وَلَا يَعْصِيْنَكَ فِيْ مَعْرُوْفٍ فَبَايِعْهُنَّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُنَّ اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ ١٢
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O!
- l-nabiyu
- ٱلنَّبِىُّ
- Prophet!
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- jāaka
- جَآءَكَ
- come to you
- l-mu'minātu
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتُ
- the believing women
- yubāyiʿ'naka
- يُبَايِعْنَكَ
- pledging to you
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- [on]
- an
- أَن
- that
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yush'rik'na
- يُشْرِكْنَ
- they will associate
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- with Allah
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yasriq'na
- يَسْرِقْنَ
- they will steal
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yaznīna
- يَزْنِينَ
- they will commit adultery
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yaqtul'na
- يَقْتُلْنَ
- they will kill
- awlādahunna
- أَوْلَٰدَهُنَّ
- their children
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yatīna
- يَأْتِينَ
- they bring
- bibuh'tānin
- بِبُهْتَٰنٍ
- slander
- yaftarīnahu
- يَفْتَرِينَهُۥ
- they invent it
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- between
- aydīhinna
- أَيْدِيهِنَّ
- their hands
- wa-arjulihinna
- وَأَرْجُلِهِنَّ
- and their feet
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- yaʿṣīnaka
- يَعْصِينَكَ
- they will disobey you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- maʿrūfin
- مَعْرُوفٍۙ
- (the) right
- fabāyiʿ'hunna
- فَبَايِعْهُنَّ
- then accept their pledge
- wa-is'taghfir
- وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ
- and ask forgiveness
- lahunna
- لَهُنَّ
- for them
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَۖ
- (from) Allah
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- ghafūrun
- غَفُورٌ
- (is) Oft-Forgiving
- raḥīmun
- رَّحِيمٌ
- Most Merciful
O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right – then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (QS. [60] Al-Mumtahanah: 12)Tafsir
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تَتَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَدْ يَىِٕسُوْا مِنَ الْاٰخِرَةِ كَمَا يَىِٕسَ الْكُفَّارُ مِنْ اَصْحٰبِ الْقُبُوْرِ ࣖ ١٣
- yāayyuhā
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you!
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who!
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe!
- lā
- لَا
- (Do) not
- tatawallaw
- تَتَوَلَّوْا۟
- make allies
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- (of) a people
- ghaḍiba
- غَضِبَ
- (The) wrath
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- (is) upon them
- qad
- قَدْ
- Indeed
- ya-isū
- يَئِسُوا۟
- they despair
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- kamā
- كَمَا
- as
- ya-isa
- يَئِسَ
- despair
- l-kufāru
- ٱلْكُفَّارُ
- the disbelievers
- min
- مِنْ
- of
- aṣḥābi
- أَصْحَٰبِ
- (the) companions
- l-qubūri
- ٱلْقُبُورِ
- (of) the graves
O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the companions [i.e., inhabitants] of the graves. (QS. [60] Al-Mumtahanah: 13)Tafsir
