Al-Qur'an Surah Al-An'am Verse 76
Al-An'am [6]: 76 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ الَّيْلُ رَاٰ كَوْكَبًا ۗقَالَ هٰذَا رَبِّيْۚ فَلَمَّآ اَفَلَ قَالَ لَآ اُحِبُّ الْاٰفِلِيْنَ (الأنعام : ٦)

Transliteration:
Falammaa janna 'alaihil lailu ra aa kawkabaan qaala haaza Rabbee falammaaa afala qaala laaa uhibbul aafileen(QS. al-ʾAnʿām:76)
English / Sahih Translation:
So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that set [i.e., disappear]." (QS. Al-An'am, ayah 76)

So, when the night enveloped him, he saw a star. He said, “This is my Lord.” But, when it vanished, he said, “I do not like those who vanish.”

English Literal
So when the night darkened on him, he saw a star/planet, he said: "That (is) my lord." So when it set/darkened, he said: "I do not like the setting/disappearing."

Tafsir jalalayn
When night descended, [when] it darkened, upon him he saw a star -- said to have been Venus -- and said, to his people, who were astrologers; `This is my Lord', as you [are wont to] claim. But when it set, when it disappeared, he said, `I love not those that set', to take them as lords, because it is not possible for a [true] Lord to be transformed or to change place, as such [attributes] pertain to accidents -- but this had no effect on them.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ
When the night overcame him,
covered him with darkness,
رَأَى كَوْكَبًا
He saw a Kawkab, (a star).
قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ
He said;"This is my lord." But when it Afala,
meaning, set,
he said,
قَالَ لا أُحِبُّ الافِلِينَ
I like not those that set.
Qatadah commented,
"Ibrahim knew that his Lord is Eternal and never ceases."
فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي
فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَيِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لاكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ
