بَلْ اِيَّاهُ تَدْعُوْنَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُوْنَ اِلَيْهِ اِنْ شَاۤءَ وَتَنْسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُوْنَ ࣖ ٤١
- bal
- بَلْ
- "Nay
- iyyāhu
- إِيَّاهُ
- Him Alone
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- you call
- fayakshifu
- فَيَكْشِفُ
- and He would remove
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- you call
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- upon Him
- in
- إِن
- if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- He wills
- watansawna
- وَتَنسَوْنَ
- and you will forget
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tush'rikūna
- تُشْرِكُونَ
- you associate (with Him)"
No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him]. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 41)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ اَرْسَلْنَآ اِلٰٓى اُمَمٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاۤءِ وَالضَّرَّاۤءِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ ٤٢
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَآ
- We sent (Messengers)
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- to
- umamin
- أُمَمٍ
- nations
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- fa-akhadhnāhum
- فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم
- then We seized them
- bil-basāi
- بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ
- with adversity
- wal-ḍarāi
- وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
- and hardship
- laʿallahum
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- yataḍarraʿūna
- يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
- humble themselves
And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us]. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 42)Tafsir
فَلَوْلَآ اِذْ جَاۤءَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوْا وَلٰكِنْ قَسَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطٰنُ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ٤٣
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَآ
- Then why not
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُم
- came to them
- basunā
- بَأْسُنَا
- Our punishment
- taḍarraʿū
- تَضَرَّعُوا۟
- they humbled themselves?
- walākin
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- qasat
- قَسَتْ
- became hardened
- qulūbuhum
- قُلُوبُهُمْ
- their hearts
- wazayyana
- وَزَيَّنَ
- and made fair-seeming
- lahumu
- لَهُمُ
- to them
- l-shayṭānu
- ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
- the Shaitaan
- mā
- مَا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 43)Tafsir
فَلَمَّا نَسُوْا مَا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهٖ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ اَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍۗ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا فَرِحُوْا بِمَآ اُوْتُوْٓا اَخَذْنٰهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَاِذَا هُمْ مُّبْلِسُوْنَ ٤٤
- falammā
- فَلَمَّا
- So when
- nasū
- نَسُوا۟
- they forgot
- mā
- مَا
- what
- dhukkirū
- ذُكِّرُوا۟
- they were reminded
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- of [it]
- fataḥnā
- فَتَحْنَا
- We opened
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- on them
- abwāba
- أَبْوَٰبَ
- gates
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- (of) every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- fariḥū
- فَرِحُوا۟
- they rejoiced
- bimā
- بِمَآ
- in what
- ūtū
- أُوتُوٓا۟
- they were given
- akhadhnāhum
- أَخَذْنَٰهُم
- We seized them
- baghtatan
- بَغْتَةً
- suddenly
- fa-idhā
- فَإِذَا
- and then
- hum
- هُم
- they
- mub'lisūna
- مُّبْلِسُونَ
- (were) dumbfounded
So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 44)Tafsir
فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْاۗ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ٤٥
- faquṭiʿa
- فَقُطِعَ
- So was cut off
- dābiru
- دَابِرُ
- (the) remnant
- l-qawmi
- ٱلْقَوْمِ
- (of) the people
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- [those] who
- ẓalamū
- ظَلَمُوا۟ۚ
- did wrong
- wal-ḥamdu
- وَٱلْحَمْدُ
- And all praises and thanks
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (be) to Allah
- rabbi
- رَبِّ
- Lord
- l-ʿālamīna
- ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
- (of) the worlds
So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 45)Tafsir
قُلْ اَرَاَيْتُمْ اِنْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَاَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِكُمْ مَّنْ اِلٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللّٰهِ يَأْتِيْكُمْ بِهٖۗ اُنْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْاٰيٰتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُوْنَ ٤٦
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- ara-aytum
- أَرَءَيْتُمْ
- "Have you seen
- in
- إِنْ
- if
- akhadha
- أَخَذَ
- took away
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- samʿakum
- سَمْعَكُمْ
- your hearing
- wa-abṣārakum
- وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ
- and your sight
- wakhatama
- وَخَتَمَ
- and sealed
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- [on]
- qulūbikum
- قُلُوبِكُم
- your hearts
- man
- مَّنْ
- who
- ilāhun
- إِلَٰهٌ
- (is the) god
- ghayru
- غَيْرُ
- other than
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- yatīkum
- يَأْتِيكُم
- to bring [back] to you?
- bihi
- بِهِۗ
- with it?
- unẓur
- ٱنظُرْ
- See
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- nuṣarrifu
- نُصَرِّفُ
- We explain
- l-āyāti
- ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
- the Signs
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- yet
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yaṣdifūna
- يَصْدِفُونَ
- turn away"
Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allah could bring them [back] to you?" Look how We diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 46)Tafsir
قُلْ اَرَاَيْتَكُمْ اِنْ اَتٰىكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّٰهِ بَغْتَةً اَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ اِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٤٧
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- ara-aytakum
- أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ
- "Have you seen
- in
- إِنْ
- if
- atākum
- أَتَىٰكُمْ
- comes to you
- ʿadhābu
- عَذَابُ
- punishment
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- baghtatan
- بَغْتَةً
- suddenly
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- jahratan
- جَهْرَةً
- openly
- hal
- هَلْ
- will
- yuh'laku
- يُهْلَكُ
- (any) be destroyed
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-qawmu
- ٱلْقَوْمُ
- the people -
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers?
Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?" (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 47)Tafsir
وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ اِلَّا مُبَشِّرِيْنَ وَمُنْذِرِيْنَۚ فَمَنْ اٰمَنَ وَاَصْلَحَ فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ ٤٨
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- nur'silu
- نُرْسِلُ
- We send
- l-mur'salīna
- ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
- the Messengers
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mubashirīna
- مُبَشِّرِينَ
- (as) bearer of glad tidings
- wamundhirīna
- وَمُنذِرِينَۖ
- and (as) warners
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- So whoever
- āmana
- ءَامَنَ
- believed
- wa-aṣlaḥa
- وَأَصْلَحَ
- and reformed
- falā
- فَلَا
- then no
- khawfun
- خَوْفٌ
- fear
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- upon them
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- yaḥzanūna
- يَحْزَنُونَ
- will grieve
And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 48)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْسُقُوْنَ ٤٩
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- [in] Our Verses
- yamassuhumu
- يَمَسُّهُمُ
- will touch them
- l-ʿadhābu
- ٱلْعَذَابُ
- the punishment
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yafsuqūna
- يَفْسُقُونَ
- defiantly disobey
But those who deny Our verses – the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 49)Tafsir
قُلْ لَّآ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِيْ خَزَاۤىِٕنُ اللّٰهِ وَلَآ اَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلَآ اَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ اِنِّيْ مَلَكٌۚ اِنْ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا يُوْحٰٓى اِلَيَّۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَصِيْرُۗ اَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ ࣖ ٥٠

- قُل
- Say
- lā
- لَّآ
- "Not
- aqūlu
- أَقُولُ
- "(do) I say
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- ʿindī
- عِندِى
- (that) with me
- khazāinu
- خَزَآئِنُ
- (are the) treasures
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- (that) I know
- l-ghayba
- ٱلْغَيْبَ
- the unseen
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- aqūlu
- أَقُولُ
- I say
- lakum
- لَكُمْ
- to you
- innī
- إِنِّى
- that I (am)
- malakun
- مَلَكٌۖ
- an Angel
- in
- إِنْ
- Not
- attabiʿu
- أَتَّبِعُ
- (do) I follow
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mā
- مَا
- what
- yūḥā
- يُوحَىٰٓ
- is revealed
- ilayya
- إِلَىَّۚ
- to me"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- hal
- هَلْ
- "Can
- yastawī
- يَسْتَوِى
- be equal
- l-aʿmā
- ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ
- the blind
- wal-baṣīru
- وَٱلْبَصِيرُۚ
- and the seeing one?"
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then will not
- tatafakkarūna
- تَتَفَكَّرُونَ
- you give thought?
Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?" (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 50)Tafsir
