قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِلِقَاۤءِ اللّٰهِ ۗحَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُوْا يٰحَسْرَتَنَا عَلٰى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيْهَاۙ وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُوْنَ اَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلٰى ظُهُوْرِهِمْۗ اَلَا سَاۤءَ مَا يَزِرُوْنَ ٣١

- Indeed
- khasira
- خَسِرَ
- incurred loss
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- denied
- biliqāi
- بِلِقَآءِ
- in (the) meeting
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- (with) Allah
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- jāathumu
- جَآءَتْهُمُ
- came to them
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour
- baghtatan
- بَغْتَةً
- suddenly
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they said
- yāḥasratanā
- يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا
- "Oh! Our regret
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- mā
- مَا
- what
- farraṭnā
- فَرَّطْنَا
- we neglected
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- concerning it"
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- yaḥmilūna
- يَحْمِلُونَ
- will bear
- awzārahum
- أَوْزَارَهُمْ
- their burdens
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ẓuhūrihim
- ظُهُورِهِمْۚ
- their backs
- alā
- أَلَا
- Unquestionably!
- sāa
- سَآءَ
- Evil
- mā
- مَا
- (is) what
- yazirūna
- يَزِرُونَ
- they bear
Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it [i.e., the Hour]," while they bear their burdens [i.e., sins] on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 31)Tafsir
وَمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَآ اِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَّلَهْوٌ ۗوَلَلدَّارُ الْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ يَتَّقُوْنَۗ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ ٣٢
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- (is) the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَآ
- (of) the world
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- laʿibun
- لَعِبٌ
- a play
- walahwun
- وَلَهْوٌۖ
- and amusement
- walalddāru
- وَلَلدَّارُ
- but the home
- l-ākhiratu
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ
- (of) the Hereafter
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- (is) best
- lilladhīna
- لِّلَّذِينَ
- for those who
- yattaqūna
- يَتَّقُونَۗ
- (are) God conscious
- afalā
- أَفَلَا
- Then not?
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- (will) you reason?
And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason? (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 32)Tafsir
قَدْ نَعْلَمُ اِنَّهٗ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِيْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ فَاِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُوْنَكَ وَلٰكِنَّ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ يَجْحَدُوْنَ ٣٣
- qad
- قَدْ
- Indeed
- naʿlamu
- نَعْلَمُ
- We know
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- that it
- layaḥzunuka
- لَيَحْزُنُكَ
- grieves you
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- what
- yaqūlūna
- يَقُولُونَۖ
- they say
- fa-innahum
- فَإِنَّهُمْ
- And indeed, they
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yukadhibūnaka
- يُكَذِّبُونَكَ
- deny you
- walākinna
- وَلَٰكِنَّ
- but
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- the Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- yajḥadūna
- يَجْحَدُونَ
- they reject
We know that you, [O Muhammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allah that the wrongdoers reject. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 33)Tafsir
وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُوْا عَلٰى مَا كُذِّبُوْا وَاُوْذُوْا حَتّٰٓى اَتٰىهُمْ نَصْرُنَا ۚوَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمٰتِ اللّٰهِ ۚوَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَكَ مِنْ نَّبَإِ۟ى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ ٣٤
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And surely
- kudhibat
- كُذِّبَتْ
- were rejected
- rusulun
- رُسُلٌ
- Messengers
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- faṣabarū
- فَصَبَرُوا۟
- but they were patient
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- mā
- مَا
- what
- kudhibū
- كُذِّبُوا۟
- they were rejected
- waūdhū
- وَأُوذُوا۟
- and they were harmed
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- until
- atāhum
- أَتَىٰهُمْ
- came to them
- naṣrunā
- نَصْرُنَاۚ
- Our help
- walā
- وَلَا
- And no
- mubaddila
- مُبَدِّلَ
- one (can) alter
- likalimāti
- لِكَلِمَٰتِ
- (the) words
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۚ
- (of) Allah
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- and surely
- jāaka
- جَآءَكَ
- has come to you
- min
- مِن
- of
- naba-i
- نَّبَإِى۟
- (the) news
- l-mur'salīna
- ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
- (of) the Messengers
And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over the denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words [i.e., decrees] of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 34)Tafsir
وَاِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ اِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَاِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ اَنْ تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقًا فِى الْاَرْضِ اَوْ سُلَّمًا فِى السَّمَاۤءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُمْ بِاٰيَةٍ ۗوَلَوْ شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْهُدٰى فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْجٰهِلِيْنَ ٣٥
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- is
- kabura
- كَبُرَ
- difficult
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- for you
- iʿ'rāḍuhum
- إِعْرَاضُهُمْ
- their aversion
- fa-ini
- فَإِنِ
- then if
- is'taṭaʿta
- ٱسْتَطَعْتَ
- you are able
- an
- أَن
- to
- tabtaghiya
- تَبْتَغِىَ
- seek
- nafaqan
- نَفَقًا
- a tunnel
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- sullaman
- سُلَّمًا
- a ladder
- fī
- فِى
- into
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِ
- the sky
- fatatiyahum
- فَتَأْتِيَهُم
- so that you bring to them
- biāyatin
- بِـَٔايَةٍۚ
- a Sign
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- But if
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- (had) willed
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- lajamaʿahum
- لَجَمَعَهُمْ
- surely He (would) have gathered them
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- l-hudā
- ٱلْهُدَىٰۚ
- the guidance
- falā
- فَلَا
- So (do) not
- takūnanna
- تَكُونَنَّ
- be
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-jāhilīna
- ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ
- the ignorant
And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 35)Tafsir
۞ اِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيْبُ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْمَعُوْنَ ۗوَالْمَوْتٰى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّٰهُ ثُمَّ اِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُوْنَ ٣٦
- innamā
- إِنَّمَا
- Only
- yastajību
- يَسْتَجِيبُ
- respond
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yasmaʿūna
- يَسْمَعُونَۘ
- listen
- wal-mawtā
- وَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
- But the dead
- yabʿathuhumu
- يَبْعَثُهُمُ
- will resurrect them
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- ilayhi
- إِلَيْهِ
- to Him
- yur'jaʿūna
- يُرْجَعُونَ
- they will be returned
Only those who hear will respond. But the dead – Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 36)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ اٰيَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖۗ قُلْ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَادِرٌ عَلٰٓى اَنْ يُّنَزِّلَ اٰيَةً وَّلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ ٣٧
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they said
- lawlā
- لَوْلَا
- "Why (is) not
- nuzzila
- نُزِّلَ
- sent down
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- āyatun
- ءَايَةٌ
- a Sign
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbihi
- رَّبِّهِۦۚ
- his Lord?"
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- inna
- إِنَّ
- "Indeed
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- qādirun
- قَادِرٌ
- (is) Able
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- [on]
- an
- أَن
- to
- yunazzila
- يُنَزِّلَ
- send down
- āyatan
- ءَايَةً
- a Sign
- walākinna
- وَلَٰكِنَّ
- but
- aktharahum
- أَكْثَرَهُمْ
- most of them
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yaʿlamūna
- يَعْلَمُونَ
- know"
And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 37)Tafsir
وَمَا مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَا طٰۤىِٕرٍ يَّطِيْرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ اِلَّآ اُمَمٌ اَمْثَالُكُمْ ۗمَا فَرَّطْنَا فِى الْكِتٰبِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُوْنَ ٣٨
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- min
- مِن
- [of]
- dābbatin
- دَآبَّةٍ
- any animal
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- ṭāirin
- طَٰٓئِرٍ
- a bird
- yaṭīru
- يَطِيرُ
- (that) flies
- bijanāḥayhi
- بِجَنَاحَيْهِ
- with its wings
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- but
- umamun
- أُمَمٌ
- (are) communities
- amthālukum
- أَمْثَالُكُمۚ
- like you
- mā
- مَّا
- Not
- farraṭnā
- فَرَّطْنَا
- We have neglected
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-kitābi
- ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
- the Book
- min
- مِن
- [of]
- shayin
- شَىْءٍۚ
- anything
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- ilā
- إِلَىٰ
- to
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- their Lord
- yuḥ'sharūna
- يُحْشَرُونَ
- they will be gathered
And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 38)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَّبُكْمٌ فِى الظُّلُمٰتِۗ مَنْ يَّشَاِ اللّٰهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَنْ يَّشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ ٣٩
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- rejected
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Verses
- ṣummun
- صُمٌّ
- (are) deaf
- wabuk'mun
- وَبُكْمٌ
- and dumb
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-ẓulumāti
- ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِۗ
- the darkness[es]
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- yasha-i
- يَشَإِ
- wills
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- yuḍ'lil'hu
- يُضْلِلْهُ
- He lets him go astray
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yasha
- يَشَأْ
- He wills
- yajʿalhu
- يَجْعَلْهُ
- He places him
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ṣirāṭin
- صِرَٰطٍ
- (the) way
- mus'taqīmin
- مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
- (the) straight
But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allah wills – He sends astray; and whomever He wills – He puts him on a straight path. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 39)Tafsir
قُلْ اَرَءَيْتَكُمْ اِنْ اَتٰىكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ اَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ تَدْعُوْنَۚ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ ٤٠
- qul
- قُلْ
- Say
- ara-aytakum
- أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ
- "Have you seen
- in
- إِنْ
- if
- atākum
- أَتَىٰكُمْ
- (there) came to you
- ʿadhābu
- عَذَابُ
- punishment
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- atatkumu
- أَتَتْكُمُ
- (there) came to you
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour
- aghayra
- أَغَيْرَ
- is it other
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (than) Allah
- tadʿūna
- تَدْعُونَ
- you call
- in
- إِن
- if
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you are
- ṣādiqīna
- صَٰدِقِينَ
- truthful?"
Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allah or there came to you the Hour – is it other than Allah you would invoke, if you should be truthful?" (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 40)Tafsir
