وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا اَوْ كَذَّبَ بِاٰيٰتِهٖۗ اِنَّهٗ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ ٢١
- waman
- وَمَنْ
- And who
- aẓlamu
- أَظْلَمُ
- (is) more unjust
- mimmani
- مِمَّنِ
- than (he) who
- if'tarā
- ٱفْتَرَىٰ
- invents
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- against
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- kadhiban
- كَذِبًا
- a lie
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- rejects
- biāyātihi
- بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓۗ
- His Signs?
- innahu
- إِنَّهُۥ
- Indeed
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yuf'liḥu
- يُفْلِحُ
- will be successful
- l-ẓālimūna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 21)Tafsir
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًا ثُمَّ نَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِيْنَ اَشْرَكُوْٓا اَيْنَ شُرَكَاۤؤُكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُوْنَ ٢٢
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (the) Day
- naḥshuruhum
- نَحْشُرُهُمْ
- We will gather them
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- naqūlu
- نَقُولُ
- We will say
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- ashrakū
- أَشْرَكُوٓا۟
- associated others with Allah
- ayna
- أَيْنَ
- "Where (are)
- shurakāukumu
- شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ
- your partners
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those whom
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- tazʿumūna
- تَزْعُمُونَ
- claim
And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?" (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 22)Tafsir
ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ اِلَّآ اَنْ قَالُوْا وَاللّٰهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِيْنَ ٢٣
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- takun
- تَكُن
- will be
- fit'natuhum
- فِتْنَتُهُمْ
- (for) them a plea
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they say
- wal-lahi
- وَٱللَّهِ
- "By Allah
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- our Lord
- mā
- مَا
- not
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we were
- mush'rikīna
- مُشْرِكِينَ
- those who associated others (with Allah)"
Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 23)Tafsir
اُنْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوْا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَفْتَرُوْنَ ٢٤
- unẓur
- ٱنظُرْ
- Look
- kayfa
- كَيْفَ
- how
- kadhabū
- كَذَبُوا۟
- they lied
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- against
- anfusihim
- أَنفُسِهِمْۚ
- themselves
- waḍalla
- وَضَلَّ
- And lost
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُم
- from them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaftarūna
- يَفْتَرُونَ
- invent
See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 24)Tafsir
وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَّسْتَمِعُ اِلَيْكَ ۚوَجَعَلْنَا عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ اَكِنَّةً اَنْ يَّفْقَهُوْهُ وَفِيْٓ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۗوَاِنْ يَّرَوْا كُلَّ اٰيَةٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُوْا بِهَا ۗحَتّٰٓى اِذَا جَاۤءُوْكَ يُجَادِلُوْنَكَ يَقُوْلُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ ٢٥
- wamin'hum
- وَمِنْهُم
- And among them
- man
- مَّن
- (are those) who
- yastamiʿu
- يَسْتَمِعُ
- listen
- ilayka
- إِلَيْكَۖ
- to you
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- but We have placed
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- over
- qulūbihim
- قُلُوبِهِمْ
- their hearts
- akinnatan
- أَكِنَّةً
- coverings
- an
- أَن
- lest
- yafqahūhu
- يَفْقَهُوهُ
- they understand it
- wafī
- وَفِىٓ
- and in
- ādhānihim
- ءَاذَانِهِمْ
- their ears
- waqran
- وَقْرًاۚ
- deafness
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And if
- yaraw
- يَرَوْا۟
- they see
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- āyatin
- ءَايَةٍ
- sign
- lā
- لَّا
- not
- yu'minū
- يُؤْمِنُوا۟
- will they believe
- bihā
- بِهَاۚ
- in it
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰٓ
- Until
- idhā
- إِذَا
- when
- jāūka
- جَآءُوكَ
- they come to you
- yujādilūnaka
- يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ
- and argue with you
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- say
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieved
- in
- إِنْ
- "Not
- hādhā
- هَٰذَآ
- "(is) this
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- but
- asāṭīru
- أَسَٰطِيرُ
- (the) tales
- l-awalīna
- ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
- (of) the former (people)"
And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 25)Tafsir
وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ عَنْهُ ۚوَاِنْ يُّهْلِكُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ٢٦
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- And they
- yanhawna
- يَنْهَوْنَ
- forbid (others)
- ʿanhu
- عَنْهُ
- from it
- wayanawna
- وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ
- and they keep away
- ʿanhu
- عَنْهُۖ
- from it
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- And not
- yuh'likūna
- يُهْلِكُونَ
- they destroy
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- anfusahum
- أَنفُسَهُمْ
- themselves
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yashʿurūna
- يَشْعُرُونَ
- they perceive
And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 26)Tafsir
وَلَوْ تَرٰٓى اِذْ وُقِفُوْا عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُوْا يٰلَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِاٰيٰتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ٢٧
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- tarā
- تَرَىٰٓ
- you (could) see
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- wuqifū
- وُقِفُوا۟
- they are made to stand
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- by
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوا۟
- then they (will) say
- yālaytanā
- يَٰلَيْتَنَا
- "Oh! Would that we
- nuraddu
- نُرَدُّ
- were sent back
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- nukadhiba
- نُكَذِّبَ
- we would deny
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- rabbinā
- رَبِّنَا
- (of) our Lord
- wanakūna
- وَنَكُونَ
- and we would be
- mina
- مِنَ
- among
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers"
If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 27)Tafsir
بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يُخْفُوْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗوَلَوْ رُدُّوْا لَعَادُوْا لِمَا نُهُوْا عَنْهُ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكٰذِبُوْنَ ٢٨
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- badā
- بَدَا
- became manifest
- lahum
- لَهُم
- for them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yukh'fūna
- يُخْفُونَ
- conceal
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablu
- قَبْلُۖ
- before
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- ruddū
- رُدُّوا۟
- they were sent back
- laʿādū
- لَعَادُوا۟
- certainly they (would) return
- limā
- لِمَا
- to what
- nuhū
- نُهُوا۟
- they were forbidden
- ʿanhu
- عَنْهُ
- from it
- wa-innahum
- وَإِنَّهُمْ
- and indeed they
- lakādhibūna
- لَكَٰذِبُونَ
- certainly are liars
But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 28)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْٓا اِنْ هِيَ اِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوْثِيْنَ ٢٩
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوٓا۟
- And they said
- in
- إِنْ
- "Not
- hiya
- هِىَ
- "it (is)
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- ḥayātunā
- حَيَاتُنَا
- our life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- we
- bimabʿūthīna
- بِمَبْعُوثِينَ
- (will be) resurrected"
And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 29)Tafsir
وَلَوْ تَرٰٓى اِذْ وُقِفُوْا عَلٰى رَبِّهِمْ ۗ قَالَ اَلَيْسَ هٰذَا بِالْحَقِّ ۗقَالُوْا بَلٰى وَرَبِّنَا ۗقَالَ فَذُوْقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ ࣖ ٣٠
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- tarā
- تَرَىٰٓ
- you (could) see
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- wuqifū
- وُقِفُوا۟
- they will be made to stand
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- before
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْۚ
- their Lord
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He (will) say
- alaysa
- أَلَيْسَ
- "Is not
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۚ
- the truth?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- balā
- بَلَىٰ
- "Yes
- warabbinā
- وَرَبِّنَاۚ
- by our Lord"
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He (will) say
- fadhūqū
- فَذُوقُوا۟
- "So taste
- l-ʿadhāba
- ٱلْعَذَابَ
- the punishment
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- kuntum
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- takfurūna
- تَكْفُرُونَ
- disbelieve"
If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment for what you used to deny." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 30)Tafsir
