Surah Al-An'am - Page: 2

(The Cattle)

11

قُلْ سِيْرُوْا فِى الْاَرْضِ ثُمَّ انْظُرُوْا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ ١١

qul
قُلْ
Say
sīrū
سِيرُوا۟
"Travel
فِى
in
l-arḍi
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
thumma
ثُمَّ
and
unẓurū
ٱنظُرُوا۟
see
kayfa
كَيْفَ
how
kāna
كَانَ
was
ʿāqibatu
عَٰقِبَةُ
(the) end
l-mukadhibīna
ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
(of) the rejecters"
Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 11)
Tafsir
12

قُلْ لِّمَنْ مَّا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۗ قُلْ لِّلّٰهِ ۗ كَتَبَ عَلٰى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ ۗ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِۗ اَلَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ١٢

Say
liman
لِّمَن
"To whom (belongs)
مَّا
what
فِى
(is) in
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ
and the earth?"
qul
قُل
Say
lillahi
لِّلَّهِۚ
"To Allah"
kataba
كَتَبَ
He has decreed
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
upon
nafsihi
نَفْسِهِ
Himself
l-raḥmata
ٱلرَّحْمَةَۚ
the Mercy
layajmaʿannakum
لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ
Surely He will assemble you
ilā
إِلَىٰ
on
yawmi
يَوْمِ
(the) Day
l-qiyāmati
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection
لَا
(there is) no
rayba
رَيْبَ
doubt
fīhi
فِيهِۚ
about it
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
khasirū
خَسِرُوٓا۟
have lost
anfusahum
أَنفُسَهُمْ
themselves
fahum
فَهُمْ
then they
لَا
(do) not
yu'minūna
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe
Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 12)
Tafsir
13

۞ وَلَهٗ مَا سَكَنَ فِى الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۗوَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ ١٣

walahu
وَلَهُۥ
And for Him
مَا
(is) whatever
sakana
سَكَنَ
dwells
فِى
in
al-layli
ٱلَّيْلِ
the night
wal-nahāri
وَٱلنَّهَارِۚ
and the day
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
and He
l-samīʿu
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
(is) All-Hearing
l-ʿalīmu
ٱلْعَلِيمُ
All-Knowing
And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 13)
Tafsir
14

قُلْ اَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ اَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ ۗ قُلْ اِنِّيْٓ اُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَكُوْنَ اَوَّلَ مَنْ اَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ ١٤

قُلْ
Say
aghayra
أَغَيْرَ
"Is it other than
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
attakhidhu
أَتَّخِذُ
I (should) take
waliyyan
وَلِيًّا
(as) a protector
fāṭiri
فَاطِرِ
Creator
l-samāwāti
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
wal-arḍi
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
while (it is) He
yuṭ'ʿimu
يُطْعِمُ
Who feeds
walā
وَلَا
and not
yuṭ'ʿamu
يُطْعَمُۗ
He is fed?"
qul
قُلْ
Say
innī
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed I
umir'tu
أُمِرْتُ
[I] am commanded
an
أَنْ
that
akūna
أَكُونَ
I be
awwala
أَوَّلَ
(the) first
man
مَنْ
who
aslama
أَسْلَمَۖ
submits (to Allah)
walā
وَلَا
and not
takūnanna
تَكُونَنَّ
be
mina
مِنَ
of
l-mush'rikīna
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
the polytheists"
Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 14)
Tafsir
15

قُلْ اِنِّيْٓ اَخَافُ اِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّيْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ ١٥

qul
قُلْ
Say
innī
إِنِّىٓ
"Indeed, I
akhāfu
أَخَافُ
[I] fear
in
إِنْ
if
ʿaṣaytu
عَصَيْتُ
I disobeyed
rabbī
رَبِّى
my Lord
ʿadhāba
عَذَابَ
punishment
yawmin
يَوْمٍ
(of) a Day"
ʿaẓīmin
عَظِيمٍ
Mighty"
Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 15)
Tafsir
16

مَنْ يُّصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَىِٕذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهٗ ۗوَذٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِيْنُ ١٦

man
مَّن
Whoever
yuṣ'raf
يُصْرَفْ
is averted
ʿanhu
عَنْهُ
from it
yawma-idhin
يَوْمَئِذٍ
that Day
faqad
فَقَدْ
then surely
raḥimahu
رَحِمَهُۥۚ
He had Mercy on him
wadhālika
وَذَٰلِكَ
And that
l-fawzu
ٱلْفَوْزُ
(is) the success
l-mubīnu
ٱلْمُبِينُ
(the) clear
He from whom it is averted that Day – [Allah] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 16)
Tafsir
17

وَاِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ اللّٰهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهٗٓ اِلَّا هُوَ ۗوَاِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ١٧

wa-in
وَإِن
And if
yamsaska
يَمْسَسْكَ
touches you
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
biḍurrin
بِضُرٍّ
with affliction
falā
فَلَا
then no
kāshifa
كَاشِفَ
remover
lahu
لَهُۥٓ
of it
illā
إِلَّا
except
huwa
هُوَۖ
Him
wa-in
وَإِن
And if
yamsaska
يَمْسَسْكَ
He touches you
bikhayrin
بِخَيْرٍ
with good
fahuwa
فَهُوَ
then He
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
(is) on
kulli
كُلِّ
every
shayin
شَىْءٍ
thing
qadīrun
قَدِيرٌ
All-Powerful
And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good – then He is over all things competent. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 17)
Tafsir
18

وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهٖۗ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيْمُ الْخَبِيْرُ ١٨

wahuwa
وَهُوَ
And He
l-qāhiru
ٱلْقَاهِرُ
(is) the Subjugator
fawqa
فَوْقَ
over
ʿibādihi
عِبَادِهِۦۚ
His slaves
wahuwa
وَهُوَ
And He
l-ḥakīmu
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
(is) the All-Wise
l-khabīru
ٱلْخَبِيرُ
the All-Aware
And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Aware. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 18)
Tafsir
19

قُلْ اَيُّ شَيْءٍ اَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً ۗ قُلِ اللّٰهُ ۗشَهِيْدٌۢ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۗوَاُوْحِيَ اِلَيَّ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنُ لِاُنْذِرَكُمْ بِهٖ وَمَنْۢ بَلَغَ ۗ اَىِٕنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُوْنَ اَنَّ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً اُخْرٰىۗ قُلْ لَّآ اَشْهَدُ ۚ قُلْ اِنَّمَا هُوَ اِلٰهٌ وَّاحِدٌ وَّاِنَّنِيْ بَرِيْۤءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ ١٩

Say
ayyu
أَىُّ
"What
shayin
شَىْءٍ
thing
akbaru
أَكْبَرُ
(is) greatest
shahādatan
شَهَٰدَةًۖ
(as) a testimony?"
quli
قُلِ
Say
l-lahu
ٱللَّهُۖ
"Allah
shahīdun
شَهِيدٌۢ
(is) Witness
baynī
بَيْنِى
between me
wabaynakum
وَبَيْنَكُمْۚ
and between you
waūḥiya
وَأُوحِىَ
and has been revealed
ilayya
إِلَىَّ
to me
hādhā
هَٰذَا
this
l-qur'ānu
ٱلْقُرْءَانُ
[the] Quran
li-undhirakum
لِأُنذِرَكُم
that I may warn you
bihi
بِهِۦ
with it
waman
وَمَنۢ
and whoever
balagha
بَلَغَۚ
it reaches
a-innakum
أَئِنَّكُمْ
Do you truly
latashhadūna
لَتَشْهَدُونَ
testify
anna
أَنَّ
that
maʿa
مَعَ
with
l-lahi
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
ālihatan
ءَالِهَةً
(there are) gods
ukh'rā
أُخْرَىٰۚ
other?"
qul
قُل
Say
لَّآ
"Not"
ashhadu
أَشْهَدُۚ
"(do) I testify"
qul
قُلْ
Say
innamā
إِنَّمَا
"Only
huwa
هُوَ
He
ilāhun
إِلَٰهٌ
(is) God
wāḥidun
وَٰحِدٌ
One
wa-innanī
وَإِنَّنِى
and indeed, I am
barīon
بَرِىٓءٌ
free
mimmā
مِّمَّا
of what
tush'rikūna
تُشْرِكُونَ
you associate (with Him)
Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allah is witness between me and you. And this Quran was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 19)
Tafsir
20

اَلَّذِيْنَ اٰتَيْنٰهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ يَعْرِفُوْنَهٗ كَمَا يَعْرِفُوْنَ اَبْنَاۤءَهُمْۘ اَلَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوْٓا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ࣖ ٢٠

alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those (to) whom
ātaynāhumu
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
We have given them
l-kitāba
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book
yaʿrifūnahu
يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ
they recognize him
kamā
كَمَا
as
yaʿrifūna
يَعْرِفُونَ
they recognize
abnāahumu
أَبْنَآءَهُمُۘ
their sons
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
Those who
khasirū
خَسِرُوٓا۟
lost
anfusahum
أَنفُسَهُمْ
themselves
fahum
فَهُمْ
then they
لَا
(do) not
yu'minūna
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe
Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 20)
