۞ قُلْ تَعَالَوْا اَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ اَلَّا تُشْرِكُوْا بِهٖ شَيْـًٔا وَّبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ اِحْسَانًاۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوْٓا اَوْلَادَكُمْ مِّنْ اِمْلَاقٍۗ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَاِيَّاهُمْ ۚوَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِيْ حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۗ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ١٥١

- أَتْلُ
- I will recite
- mā
- مَا
- what
- ḥarrama
- حَرَّمَ
- has prohibited
- rabbukum
- رَبُّكُمْ
- your Lord
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْۖ
- to you
- allā
- أَلَّا
- That (do) not
- tush'rikū
- تُشْرِكُوا۟
- associate
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with Him
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔاۖ
- anything
- wabil-wālidayni
- وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ
- and with the parents
- iḥ'sānan
- إِحْسَٰنًاۖ
- (be) good
- walā
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- taqtulū
- تَقْتُلُوٓا۟
- kill
- awlādakum
- أَوْلَٰدَكُم
- your children
- min
- مِّنْ
- (out) of
- im'lāqin
- إِمْلَٰقٍۖ
- poverty
- naḥnu
- نَّحْنُ
- We
- narzuqukum
- نَرْزُقُكُمْ
- provide for you
- wa-iyyāhum
- وَإِيَّاهُمْۖ
- and for them
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- taqrabū
- تَقْرَبُوا۟
- go near
- l-fawāḥisha
- ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ
- [the] immoralities
- mā
- مَا
- what
- ẓahara
- ظَهَرَ
- (is) apparent
- min'hā
- مِنْهَا
- of them
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- baṭana
- بَطَنَۖ
- (is) concealed
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- taqtulū
- تَقْتُلُوا۟
- kill
- l-nafsa
- ٱلنَّفْسَ
- the soul
- allatī
- ٱلَّتِى
- which
- ḥarrama
- حَرَّمَ
- has (been) forbidden
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّۚ
- by (legal) right
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُمْ
- That
- waṣṣākum
- وَصَّىٰكُم
- (He) has enjoined on you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with it
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- use reason"
Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 151)Tafsir
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْا مَالَ الْيَتِيْمِ اِلَّا بِالَّتِيْ هِيَ اَحْسَنُ حَتّٰى يَبْلُغَ اَشُدَّهٗ ۚوَاَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيْزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِۚ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَاۚ وَاِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوْا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰىۚ وَبِعَهْدِ اللّٰهِ اَوْفُوْاۗ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَۙ ١٥٢

- And (do) not
- taqrabū
- تَقْرَبُوا۟
- go near
- māla
- مَالَ
- wealth
- l-yatīmi
- ٱلْيَتِيمِ
- (of) the orphans
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bi-allatī
- بِٱلَّتِى
- with that
- hiya
- هِىَ
- which
- aḥsanu
- أَحْسَنُ
- (is) best
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- yablugha
- يَبْلُغَ
- he reaches
- ashuddahu
- أَشُدَّهُۥۖ
- his maturity
- wa-awfū
- وَأَوْفُوا۟
- And give full
- l-kayla
- ٱلْكَيْلَ
- [the] measure
- wal-mīzāna
- وَٱلْمِيزَانَ
- and the weight
- bil-qis'ṭi
- بِٱلْقِسْطِۖ
- with justice
- lā
- لَا
- Not
- nukallifu
- نُكَلِّفُ
- We burden
- nafsan
- نَفْسًا
- any soul
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- wus'ʿahā
- وُسْعَهَاۖ
- (to) its capacity
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- qul'tum
- قُلْتُمْ
- you speak
- fa-iʿ'dilū
- فَٱعْدِلُوا۟
- then be just
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- even if
- kāna
- كَانَ
- he is
- dhā
- ذَا
- (one of)
- qur'bā
- قُرْبَىٰۖ
- a near relative
- wabiʿahdi
- وَبِعَهْدِ
- And (the) Covenant
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- awfū
- أَوْفُوا۟ۚ
- fulfil
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُمْ
- That
- waṣṣākum
- وَصَّىٰكُم
- (He) has enjoined on you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- with it
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- remember
And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best [i.e., intending improvement] until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you speak [i.e., testify], be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 152)Tafsir
وَاَنَّ هٰذَا صِرَاطِيْ مُسْتَقِيْمًا فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ ۚوَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَنْ سَبِيْلِهٖ ۗذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰىكُمْ بِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ ١٥٣
- wa-anna
- وَأَنَّ
- And that
- hādhā
- هَٰذَا
- this
- ṣirāṭī
- صِرَٰطِى
- (is) My path
- mus'taqīman
- مُسْتَقِيمًا
- straight
- fa-ittabiʿūhu
- فَٱتَّبِعُوهُۖ
- so follow it
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- tattabiʿū
- تَتَّبِعُوا۟
- follow
- l-subula
- ٱلسُّبُلَ
- the (other) paths
- fatafarraqa
- فَتَفَرَّقَ
- then they will separate
- bikum
- بِكُمْ
- you
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīlihi
- سَبِيلِهِۦۚ
- His path
- dhālikum
- ذَٰلِكُمْ
- That
- waṣṣākum
- وَصَّىٰكُم
- (He) has enjoined on you
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [with it]
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tattaqūna
- تَتَّقُونَ
- become righteous
And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 153)Tafsir
ثُمَّ اٰتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الْكِتٰبَ تَمَامًا عَلَى الَّذِيْٓ اَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيْلًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ بِلِقَاۤءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ࣖ ١٥٤
- thumma

- Moreover
- ātaynā
- ءَاتَيْنَا
- We gave
- mūsā
- مُوسَى
- Musa
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- tamāman
- تَمَامًا
- completing (Our Favor)
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- the one who
- aḥsana
- أَحْسَنَ
- did good
- watafṣīlan
- وَتَفْصِيلًا
- and an explanation
- likulli
- لِّكُلِّ
- of every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- wahudan
- وَهُدًى
- and a guidance
- waraḥmatan
- وَرَحْمَةً
- and mercy
- laʿallahum
- لَّعَلَّهُم
- so that they may -
- biliqāi
- بِلِقَآءِ
- in (the) meeting
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- (with) their Lord
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good [i.e., Moses] and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in the meeting with their Lord they would believe. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 154)Tafsir
وَهٰذَا كِتٰبٌ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ مُبٰرَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ وَاتَّقُوْا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَۙ ١٥٥
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- And this
- kitābun
- كِتَٰبٌ
- (is) a Book
- anzalnāhu
- أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
- We have revealed it -
- mubārakun
- مُبَارَكٌ
- blessed
- fa-ittabiʿūhu
- فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ
- so follow it
- wa-ittaqū
- وَٱتَّقُوا۟
- and fear (Allah)
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tur'ḥamūna
- تُرْحَمُونَ
- receive mercy
And this [Quran] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 155)Tafsir
اَنْ تَقُوْلُوْٓا اِنَّمَآ اُنْزِلَ الْكِتٰبُ عَلٰى طَاۤىِٕفَتَيْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِنَاۖ وَاِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغٰفِلِيْنَۙ ١٥٦
- an
- أَن
- Lest
- taqūlū
- تَقُولُوٓا۟
- you say
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- "Only
- unzila
- أُنزِلَ
- was revealed
- l-kitābu
- ٱلْكِتَٰبُ
- the Book
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- ṭāifatayni
- طَآئِفَتَيْنِ
- the two groups
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablinā
- قَبْلِنَا
- before us
- wa-in
- وَإِن
- and indeed
- kunnā
- كُنَّا
- we were
- ʿan
- عَن
- about
- dirāsatihim
- دِرَاسَتِهِمْ
- their study
- laghāfilīna
- لَغَٰفِلِينَ
- certainly unaware"
[We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware," (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 156)Tafsir
اَوْ تَقُوْلُوْا لَوْ اَنَّآ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْكِتٰبُ لَكُنَّآ اَهْدٰى مِنْهُمْۚ فَقَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةٌ ۚفَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَذَّبَ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا ۗسَنَجْزِى الَّذِيْنَ يَصْدِفُوْنَ عَنْ اٰيٰتِنَا سُوْۤءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَصْدِفُوْنَ ١٥٧

- أَوْ
- Or
- taqūlū
- تَقُولُوا۟
- you say
- law
- لَوْ
- "If
- annā
- أَنَّآ
- [that]
- unzila
- أُنزِلَ
- was revealed
- ʿalaynā
- عَلَيْنَا
- to us
- l-kitābu
- ٱلْكِتَٰبُ
- the Book
- lakunnā
- لَكُنَّآ
- surely we (would) have been
- ahdā
- أَهْدَىٰ
- better guided
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْۚ
- than them
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- So verily
- jāakum
- جَآءَكُم
- has come to you
- bayyinatun
- بَيِّنَةٌ
- clear proofs
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbikum
- رَّبِّكُمْ
- your Lord
- wahudan
- وَهُدًى
- and a Guidance
- waraḥmatun
- وَرَحْمَةٌۚ
- and a Mercy
- faman
- فَمَنْ
- Then who
- aẓlamu
- أَظْلَمُ
- (is) more unjust
- mimman
- مِمَّن
- than (he) who
- kadhaba
- كَذَّبَ
- denies
- biāyāti
- بِـَٔايَٰتِ
- [with] (the) Verses
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- waṣadafa
- وَصَدَفَ
- and turns away
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَاۗ
- from them?
- sanajzī
- سَنَجْزِى
- We will recompense
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- yaṣdifūna
- يَصْدِفُونَ
- turn away
- ʿan
- عَنْ
- from
- āyātinā
- ءَايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- sūa
- سُوٓءَ
- (with) an evil
- l-ʿadhābi
- ٱلْعَذَابِ
- punishment
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaṣdifūna
- يَصْدِفُونَ
- turn away
Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allah and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 157)Tafsir
هَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ اَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ اَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّكَ ۗيَوْمَ يَأْتِيْ بَعْضُ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّكَ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا اِيْمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ اٰمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ اَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِيْٓ اِيْمَانِهَا خَيْرًاۗ قُلِ انْتَظِرُوْٓا اِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُوْنَ ١٥٨

- هَلْ
- Are
- yanẓurūna
- يَنظُرُونَ
- they waiting
- illā
- إِلَّآ
- except
- an
- أَن
- that
- tatiyahumu
- تَأْتِيَهُمُ
- comes to them
- l-malāikatu
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
- the Angels
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- comes
- rabbuka
- رَبُّكَ
- your Lord
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- yatiya
- يَأْتِىَ
- comes
- baʿḍu
- بَعْضُ
- some (of)
- āyāti
- ءَايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَۗ
- (of) your Lord?
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day
- yatī
- يَأْتِى
- (when) comes
- baʿḍu
- بَعْضُ
- some (of)
- āyāti
- ءَايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- (of) your Lord
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yanfaʿu
- يَنفَعُ
- will benefit
- nafsan
- نَفْسًا
- a soul
- īmānuhā
- إِيمَٰنُهَا
- its faith
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- takun
- تَكُنْ
- (if) it had
- āmanat
- ءَامَنَتْ
- believed
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- aw
- أَوْ
- or
- kasabat
- كَسَبَتْ
- earned
- fī
- فِىٓ
- through
- īmānihā
- إِيمَٰنِهَا
- its faith
- khayran
- خَيْرًاۗ
- any good
- quli
- قُلِ
- Say
- intaẓirū
- ٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟
- "Wait
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed, we
- muntaẓirūna
- مُنتَظِرُونَ
- (are) those who wait"
Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 158)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَّقُوْا دِيْنَهُمْ وَكَانُوْا شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِيْ شَيْءٍۗ اِنَّمَآ اَمْرُهُمْ اِلَى اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَفْعَلُوْنَ ١٥٩
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- farraqū
- فَرَّقُوا۟
- divide
- dīnahum
- دِينَهُمْ
- their religion
- wakānū
- وَكَانُوا۟
- and become
- shiyaʿan
- شِيَعًا
- sects
- lasta
- لَّسْتَ
- you are not
- min'hum
- مِنْهُمْ
- with them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- shayin
- شَىْءٍۚ
- anything
- innamā
- إِنَّمَآ
- Only
- amruhum
- أَمْرُهُمْ
- their affair
- ilā
- إِلَى
- (is) with
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yunabbi-uhum
- يُنَبِّئُهُم
- He will inform them
- bimā
- بِمَا
- of what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yafʿalūna
- يَفْعَلُونَ
- do
Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects – you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 159)Tafsir
مَنْ جَاۤءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهٗ عَشْرُ اَمْثَالِهَا ۚوَمَنْ جَاۤءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزٰٓى اِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ ١٦٠
- man
- مَن
- Whoever
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- bil-ḥasanati
- بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ
- with a good deed
- falahu
- فَلَهُۥ
- then for him
- ʿashru
- عَشْرُ
- (is) ten (times)
- amthālihā
- أَمْثَالِهَاۖ
- the like of it
- waman
- وَمَن
- And whoever
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- bil-sayi-ati
- بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
- with an evil deed
- falā
- فَلَا
- then not
- yuj'zā
- يُجْزَىٰٓ
- he will be recompensed
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mith'lahā
- مِثْلَهَا
- the like of it
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- lā
- لَا
- will not
- yuẓ'lamūna
- يُظْلَمُونَ
- (be) wronged
Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 160)Tafsir
