وَلَا تَأْكُلُوْا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ وَاِنَّهٗ لَفِسْقٌۗ وَاِنَّ الشَّيٰطِيْنَ لَيُوْحُوْنَ اِلٰٓى اَوْلِيَاۤىِٕهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوْكُمْ ۚوَاِنْ اَطَعْتُمُوْهُمْ اِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُوْنَ ࣖ ١٢١
- walā
- وَلَا
- And (do) not
- takulū
- تَأْكُلُوا۟
- eat
- mimmā
- مِمَّا
- of that
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- yudh'kari
- يُذْكَرِ
- has been mentioned
- us'mu
- ٱسْمُ
- (the) name
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- on it
- wa-innahu
- وَإِنَّهُۥ
- and indeed, it (is)
- lafis'qun
- لَفِسْقٌۗ
- grave disobedience
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- l-shayāṭīna
- ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ
- the devils
- layūḥūna
- لَيُوحُونَ
- inspire
- ilā
- إِلَىٰٓ
- to
- awliyāihim
- أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ
- their friends
- liyujādilūkum
- لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْۖ
- so that they dispute with you
- wa-in
- وَإِنْ
- and if
- aṭaʿtumūhum
- أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ
- you obey them
- innakum
- إِنَّكُمْ
- indeed, you
- lamush'rikūna
- لَمُشْرِكُونَ
- (would) be the polytheists
And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him]. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 121)Tafsir
اَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَيْتًا فَاَحْيَيْنٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهٗ نُوْرًا يَّمْشِيْ بِهٖ فِى النَّاسِ كَمَنْ مَّثَلُهٗ فِى الظُّلُمٰتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَاۗ كَذٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ مَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٢٢
- awaman
- أَوَمَن
- Is (one) who
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- maytan
- مَيْتًا
- dead
- fa-aḥyaynāhu
- فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ
- and We gave him life
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- and We made
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- nūran
- نُورًا
- light
- yamshī
- يَمْشِى
- he walks
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- whereby
- fī
- فِى
- among
- l-nāsi
- ٱلنَّاسِ
- the people
- kaman
- كَمَن
- like (one) who
- mathaluhu
- مَّثَلُهُۥ
- [similar to him]
- fī
- فِى
- (is) in
- l-ẓulumāti
- ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
- the darknesses
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- not
- bikhārijin
- بِخَارِجٍ
- he comes out
- min'hā
- مِّنْهَاۚ
- of it?
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- zuyyina
- زُيِّنَ
- is made fair-seeming
- lil'kāfirīna
- لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- to the disbelievers
- mā
- مَا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- doing
And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 122)Tafsir
وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِيْ كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ اَكٰبِرَ مُجْرِمِيْهَا لِيَمْكُرُوْا فِيْهَاۗ وَمَا يَمْكُرُوْنَ اِلَّا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ ١٢٣
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- jaʿalnā
- جَعَلْنَا
- We placed
- fī
- فِى
- in
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- qaryatin
- قَرْيَةٍ
- city
- akābira
- أَكَٰبِرَ
- greatest
- muj'rimīhā
- مُجْرِمِيهَا
- (of) its criminals
- liyamkurū
- لِيَمْكُرُوا۟
- so that they plot
- fīhā
- فِيهَاۖ
- therein
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- yamkurūna
- يَمْكُرُونَ
- they plot
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- bi-anfusihim
- بِأَنفُسِهِمْ
- against themselves
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- yashʿurūna
- يَشْعُرُونَ
- they perceive
And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 123)Tafsir
وَاِذَا جَاۤءَتْهُمْ اٰيَةٌ قَالُوْا لَنْ نُّؤْمِنَ حَتّٰى نُؤْتٰى مِثْلَ مَآ اُوْتِيَ رُسُلُ اللّٰهِ ۘ اَللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسٰلَتَهٗۗ سَيُصِيْبُ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا صَغَارٌ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَمْكُرُوْنَ ١٢٤
- wa-idhā
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- jāathum
- جَآءَتْهُمْ
- comes to them
- āyatun
- ءَايَةٌ
- a Sign
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- they say
- lan
- لَن
- "Never
- nu'mina
- نُّؤْمِنَ
- we will believe
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- nu'tā
- نُؤْتَىٰ
- we are given
- mith'la
- مِثْلَ
- like
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- ūtiya
- أُوتِىَ
- was given
- rusulu
- رُسُلُ
- (to the) Messengers
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۘ
- (of) Allah"
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- ḥaythu
- حَيْثُ
- where
- yajʿalu
- يَجْعَلُ
- He places
- risālatahu
- رِسَالَتَهُۥۗ
- His Message
- sayuṣību
- سَيُصِيبُ
- Will afflict
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- ajramū
- أَجْرَمُوا۟
- committed crimes
- ṣaghārun
- صَغَارٌ
- a humiliation
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- waʿadhābun
- وَعَذَابٌ
- and a punishment
- shadīdun
- شَدِيدٌۢ
- severe
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yamkurūna
- يَمْكُرُونَ
- plot
And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah." Allah is most knowing of where [i.e., with whom] He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 124)Tafsir
فَمَنْ يُّرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يَّهْدِيَهٗ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهٗ لِلْاِسْلَامِۚ وَمَنْ يُّرِدْ اَنْ يُّضِلَّهٗ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهٗ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَاَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِى السَّمَاۤءِۗ كَذٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللّٰهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ ١٢٥
- faman
- فَمَن
- So whoever
- yuridi
- يُرِدِ
- wants
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- an
- أَن
- that
- yahdiyahu
- يَهْدِيَهُۥ
- He guides him
- yashraḥ
- يَشْرَحْ
- He expands
- ṣadrahu
- صَدْرَهُۥ
- his breast
- lil'is'lāmi
- لِلْإِسْلَٰمِۖ
- to Islam
- waman
- وَمَن
- and whoever
- yurid
- يُرِدْ
- He wants
- an
- أَن
- that
- yuḍillahu
- يُضِلَّهُۥ
- He lets him go astray
- yajʿal
- يَجْعَلْ
- He makes
- ṣadrahu
- صَدْرَهُۥ
- his breast
- ḍayyiqan
- ضَيِّقًا
- tight
- ḥarajan
- حَرَجًا
- and constricted
- ka-annamā
- كَأَنَّمَا
- as though
- yaṣṣaʿʿadu
- يَصَّعَّدُ
- he (were) climbing
- fī
- فِى
- into
- l-samāi
- ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ
- the sky
- kadhālika
- كَذَٰلِكَ
- Thus
- yajʿalu
- يَجْعَلُ
- places
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- l-rij'sa
- ٱلرِّجْسَ
- the filth
- ʿalā
- عَلَى
- on
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
So whoever Allah wants to guide – He expands his breast to [contain] IsLam; and whoever He wants to send astray – He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 125)Tafsir
وَهٰذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيْمًاۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْاٰيٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَّذَّكَّرُوْنَ ١٢٦
- wahādhā
- وَهَٰذَا
- And this
- ṣirāṭu
- صِرَٰطُ
- (is the) way
- rabbika
- رَبِّكَ
- (of) your Lord -
- mus'taqīman
- مُسْتَقِيمًاۗ
- straight
- qad
- قَدْ
- Certainly
- faṣṣalnā
- فَصَّلْنَا
- We have detailed
- l-āyāti
- ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
- the Verses
- liqawmin
- لِقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- yadhakkarūna
- يَذَّكَّرُونَ
- who take heed
And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 126)Tafsir
۞ لَهُمْ دَارُ السَّلٰمِ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَعْمَلُوْنَ ١٢٧
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- For them
- dāru
- دَارُ
- (will be) home
- l-salāmi
- ٱلسَّلَٰمِ
- (of) [the] peace
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- with
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْۖ
- their Lord
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- waliyyuhum
- وَلِيُّهُم
- (will be) their protecting friend
- bimā
- بِمَا
- because
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- (of what) they used to
- yaʿmalūna
- يَعْمَلُونَ
- do
For them will be the Home of Peace [i.e., Paradise] with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 127)Tafsir
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًاۚ يٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ ۚوَقَالَ اَوْلِيَاۤؤُهُمْ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَّبَلَغْنَآ اَجَلَنَا الَّذِيْٓ اَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۗقَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوٰىكُمْ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ اِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ ١٢٨
- wayawma
- وَيَوْمَ
- And (the) Day
- yaḥshuruhum
- يَحْشُرُهُمْ
- He will gather them
- jamīʿan
- جَمِيعًا
- all
- yāmaʿshara
- يَٰمَعْشَرَ
- (and will say) O assembly
- l-jini
- ٱلْجِنِّ
- (of) [the] jinn!
- qadi
- قَدِ
- Certainly
- is'takthartum
- ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم
- you have (misled) many
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-insi
- ٱلْإِنسِۖ
- the mankind"
- waqāla
- وَقَالَ
- And will say
- awliyāuhum
- أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم
- their friends
- mina
- مِّنَ
- among
- l-insi
- ٱلْإِنسِ
- the men
- rabbanā
- رَبَّنَا
- "Our Lord
- is'tamtaʿa
- ٱسْتَمْتَعَ
- profited
- baʿḍunā
- بَعْضُنَا
- some of us
- bibaʿḍin
- بِبَعْضٍ
- by others
- wabalaghnā
- وَبَلَغْنَآ
- and we have reached
- ajalanā
- أَجَلَنَا
- our term
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِىٓ
- which
- ajjalta
- أَجَّلْتَ
- You appointed
- lanā
- لَنَاۚ
- for us"
- qāla
- قَالَ
- He will say
- l-nāru
- ٱلنَّارُ
- "The Fire
- mathwākum
- مَثْوَىٰكُمْ
- (is) your abode
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- will abide forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَآ
- in it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- mā
- مَا
- (for) what
- shāa
- شَآءَ
- wills
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُۗ
- Allah
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- ḥakīmun
- حَكِيمٌ
- (is) All-Wise
- ʿalīmun
- عَلِيمٌ
- All-Knowing
And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term which You appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 128)Tafsir
وَكَذٰلِكَ نُوَلِّيْ بَعْضَ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ بَعْضًاۢ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ ࣖ ١٢٩
- wakadhālika
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- nuwallī
- نُوَلِّى
- We make friends
- baʿḍa
- بَعْضَ
- some (of)
- l-ẓālimīna
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers
- baʿḍan
- بَعْضًۢا
- (to) others
- bimā
- بِمَا
- for what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- yaksibūna
- يَكْسِبُونَ
- earn
And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 129)Tafsir
يٰمَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ اَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْكُمْ يَقُصُّوْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ اٰيٰتِيْ وَيُنْذِرُوْنَكُمْ لِقَاۤءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هٰذَاۗ قَالُوْا شَهِدْنَا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِنَا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوْا عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِهِمْ اَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا كٰفِرِيْنَ ١٣٠
- yāmaʿshara
- يَٰمَعْشَرَ
- O assembly
- l-jini
- ٱلْجِنِّ
- (of) [the] jinn
- wal-insi
- وَٱلْإِنسِ
- and [the] men!
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Did (there) not
- yatikum
- يَأْتِكُمْ
- come to you
- rusulun
- رُسُلٌ
- Messengers
- minkum
- مِّنكُمْ
- from (among) you
- yaquṣṣūna
- يَقُصُّونَ
- relating
- ʿalaykum
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- to you
- āyātī
- ءَايَٰتِى
- My Verses
- wayundhirūnakum
- وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ
- and warning you
- liqāa
- لِقَآءَ
- (of the) meeting
- yawmikum
- يَوْمِكُمْ
- (of) your day?"
- hādhā
- هَٰذَاۚ
- this?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- shahid'nā
- شَهِدْنَا
- "We bear witness
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- against
- anfusinā
- أَنفُسِنَاۖ
- ourselves"
- wagharrathumu
- وَغَرَّتْهُمُ
- And deluded them
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- washahidū
- وَشَهِدُوا۟
- and they will bear witness
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- against
- anfusihim
- أَنفُسِهِمْ
- themselves
- annahum
- أَنَّهُمْ
- that they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- kāfirīna
- كَٰفِرِينَ
- disbelievers
"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 130)Tafsir
