اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمٰتِ وَالنُّوْرَ ەۗ ثُمَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُوْنَ ١
- al-ḥamdu
- ٱلْحَمْدُ
- (All) the praises and thanks
- lillahi
- لِلَّهِ
- (be) to Allah
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the One Who
- khalaqa
- خَلَقَ
- created
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- and the earth
- wajaʿala
- وَجَعَلَ
- and made
- l-ẓulumāti
- ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
- the darkness[es]
- wal-nūra
- وَٱلنُّورَۖ
- and the light
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieved
- birabbihim
- بِرَبِّهِمْ
- in their Lord
- yaʿdilūna
- يَعْدِلُونَ
- equate others with Him
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 1)Tafsir
هُوَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ طِيْنٍ ثُمَّ قَضٰٓى اَجَلًا ۗوَاَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى عِنْدَهٗ ثُمَّ اَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُوْنَ ٢
- huwa
- هُوَ
- He
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- (is) the One Who
- khalaqakum
- خَلَقَكُم
- created you
- min
- مِّن
- from
- ṭīnin
- طِينٍ
- clay
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- qaḍā
- قَضَىٰٓ
- He decreed
- ajalan
- أَجَلًاۖ
- a term -
- wa-ajalun
- وَأَجَلٌ
- and a term
- musamman
- مُّسَمًّى
- specified
- ʿindahu
- عِندَهُۥۖ
- with Him
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- yet
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- tamtarūna
- تَمْتَرُونَ
- doubt
It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 2)Tafsir
وَهُوَ اللّٰهُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَفِى الْاَرْضِۗ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُوْنَ ٣
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- And He
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- (is) Allah
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- wafī
- وَفِى
- and in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِۖ
- the earth
- yaʿlamu
- يَعْلَمُ
- He knows
- sirrakum
- سِرَّكُمْ
- your secret
- wajahrakum
- وَجَهْرَكُمْ
- and what you make public
- wayaʿlamu
- وَيَعْلَمُ
- and He knows
- mā
- مَا
- what
- taksibūna
- تَكْسِبُونَ
- you earn
And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 3)Tafsir
وَمَا تَأْتِيْهِمْ مِّنْ اٰيَةٍ مِّنْ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ اِلَّا كَانُوْا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِيْنَ ٤
- wamā
- وَمَا
- And not
- tatīhim
- تَأْتِيهِم
- comes to them
- min
- مِّنْ
- [of]
- āyatin
- ءَايَةٍ
- any sign
- min
- مِّنْ
- from
- āyāti
- ءَايَٰتِ
- (the) Signs
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- (of) their Lord
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they are
- ʿanhā
- عَنْهَا
- from it
- muʿ'riḍīna
- مُعْرِضِينَ
- turning away
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 4)Tafsir
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوْا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاۤءَهُمْۗ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيْهِمْ اَنْۢبـٰۤؤُا مَا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ٥
- faqad
- فَقَدْ
- Then indeed
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- they denied
- bil-ḥaqi
- بِٱلْحَقِّ
- the truth
- lammā
- لَمَّا
- when
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُمْۖ
- it came to them
- fasawfa
- فَسَوْفَ
- but soon
- yatīhim
- يَأْتِيهِمْ
- will come to them
- anbāu
- أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟
- news
- mā
- مَا
- (of) what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [at it]
- yastahziūna
- يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
- mock
For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 5)Tafsir
اَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِّنْ قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنّٰهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَّكُمْ وَاَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاۤءَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّدْرَارًا ۖوَّجَعَلْنَا الْاَنْهٰرَ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ وَاَنْشَأْنَا مِنْۢ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا اٰخَرِيْنَ ٦
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Did not
- yaraw
- يَرَوْا۟
- they see
- kam
- كَمْ
- how many
- ahlaknā
- أَهْلَكْنَا
- We destroyed
- min
- مِن
- from
- qablihim
- قَبْلِهِم
- before them
- min
- مِّن
- of
- qarnin
- قَرْنٍ
- generations
- makkannāhum
- مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ
- We had established them
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-arḍi
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lam
- لَمْ
- not
- numakkin
- نُمَكِّن
- We (have) established
- lakum
- لَّكُمْ
- for you?
- wa-arsalnā
- وَأَرْسَلْنَا
- And We sent
- l-samāa
- ٱلسَّمَآءَ
- (rain from) the sky
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- upon them
- mid'rāran
- مِّدْرَارًا
- showering abundantly
- wajaʿalnā
- وَجَعَلْنَا
- and We made
- l-anhāra
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
- the rivers
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flow
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihim
- تَحْتِهِمْ
- underneath them
- fa-ahlaknāhum
- فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم
- Then We destroyed them
- bidhunūbihim
- بِذُنُوبِهِمْ
- for their sins
- wa-anshanā
- وَأَنشَأْنَا
- and We raised
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- baʿdihim
- بَعْدِهِمْ
- after them
- qarnan
- قَرْنًا
- generations
- ākharīna
- ءَاخَرِينَ
- other
Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 6)Tafsir
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتٰبًا فِيْ قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوْهُ بِاَيْدِيْهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا اِنْ هٰذَآ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ ٧
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And (even) if
- nazzalnā
- نَزَّلْنَا
- We (had) sent down
- ʿalayka
- عَلَيْكَ
- to you
- kitāban
- كِتَٰبًا
- a written Scripture
- fī
- فِى
- in
- qir'ṭāsin
- قِرْطَاسٍ
- a parchment
- falamasūhu
- فَلَمَسُوهُ
- and they touched it
- bi-aydīhim
- بِأَيْدِيهِمْ
- with their hands
- laqāla
- لَقَالَ
- surely (would) have said
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوٓا۟
- disbelieved
- in
- إِنْ
- "Not
- hādhā
- هَٰذَآ
- "(is) this
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- siḥ'run
- سِحْرٌ
- magic"
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear"
And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic." (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 7)Tafsir
وَقَالُوْا لَوْلَآ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ ۗوَلَوْ اَنْزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْظَرُوْنَ ٨
- waqālū
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they said
- lawlā
- لَوْلَآ
- "Why has not been
- unzila
- أُنزِلَ
- sent down
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- malakun
- مَلَكٌۖ
- an Angel?"
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- anzalnā
- أَنزَلْنَا
- We (had) sent down
- malakan
- مَلَكًا
- an Angel
- laquḍiya
- لَّقُضِىَ
- surely (would) have been decided
- l-amru
- ٱلْأَمْرُ
- the matter
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- lā
- لَا
- no
- yunẓarūna
- يُنظَرُونَ
- respite would have been granted to them
And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 8)Tafsir
وَلَوْ جَعَلْنٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنٰهُ رَجُلًا وَّلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّا يَلْبِسُوْنَ ٩
- walaw
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- jaʿalnāhu
- جَعَلْنَٰهُ
- We had made him
- malakan
- مَلَكًا
- an Angel
- lajaʿalnāhu
- لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ
- certainly We (would) have made him
- rajulan
- رَجُلًا
- a man
- walalabasnā
- وَلَلَبَسْنَا
- and certainly We (would) have obscured
- ʿalayhim
- عَلَيْهِم
- to them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- yalbisūna
- يَلْبِسُونَ
- they are obscuring
And if We had made him [i.e., the messenger] an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves [i.e., confusion and doubt]. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 9)Tafsir
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِيْنَ سَخِرُوْا مِنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوْا بِهٖ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ ࣖ ١٠
- walaqadi
- وَلَقَدِ
- And indeed
- us'tuh'zi-a
- ٱسْتُهْزِئَ
- were mocked
- birusulin
- بِرُسُلٍ
- Messengers
- min
- مِّن
- from
- qablika
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- faḥāqa
- فَحَاقَ
- but surrounded
- bi-alladhīna
- بِٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- sakhirū
- سَخِرُوا۟
- scoffed
- min'hum
- مِنْهُم
- of them
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- [at it]
- yastahziūna
- يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
- mock
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. (QS. [6] Al-An'am: 10)Tafsir
