Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hashr Verse 17

Al-Hashr [59]: 17 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

فَكَانَ عَاقِبَتَهُمَآ اَنَّهُمَا فِى النَّارِ خَالِدَيْنِ فِيْهَاۗ وَذٰلِكَ جَزٰۤؤُا الظّٰلِمِيْنَ ࣖ (الحشر : ٥٩)

fakāna
فَكَانَ
So will be
ʿāqibatahumā
عَٰقِبَتَهُمَآ
(the) end of both of them
annahumā
أَنَّهُمَا
that they will
فِى
(be) in
l-nāri
ٱلنَّارِ
the Fire
khālidayni
خَٰلِدَيْنِ
abiding forever
fīhā
فِيهَاۚ
therein
wadhālika
وَذَٰلِكَ
And that
jazāu
جَزَٰٓؤُا۟
(is the) recompense
l-ẓālimīna
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
(of) the wrongdoers

Transliteration:

Fakaana 'aaqibatahumaaa annahumaa fin naari khaalidaini feehaa; wa zaalika jazaaa'uz zaalimeen (QS. al-Ḥašr:17)

English / Sahih Translation:

So the outcome for both of them is that they will be in the Fire, abiding eternally therein. And that is the recompense of the wrongdoers. (QS. Al-Hashr, ayah 17)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

So the end of both of them is that they will be in the Fire, living there forever. That is the punishment of the wrongdoers.

So they will both end up in the Fire, staying there forever. That is the reward of the wrongdoers.

The end of both will be that they will go into the Fire, dwelling therein for ever. Such is the reward of the wrong-doers.

In the end both will be in the Fire, and will abide in it. That is the recompense of the wrong-doers.

Both of them will end up in Hell, where they will abide for ever. This is the punishment for the wicked.

So the fate of them both is that they are both in the fire, to remain in it forever; and this is the proper punishment for the unjust.

So the fate of both is that they will be in the Fire, to remain in it [forever]. Such is the requital of the wrongdoers.

So the end of both (Satan and those whom he has deceived, and the hypocrites and those whom they have betrayed) is that they will find themselves in the Fire to abide therein. That is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

And the end of both of them is that they are both in the fire. There these two shall abide (for a long time). Such is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

English Literal

So their (B)`s end (result) was that they (B) (are) in the fire immortally/eternally in it, and that (is) the unjust`s/oppressive`s reimbursement.

So the fate of them both is that they are both in the fire, to remain in it forever; and this is the proper punishment for the unjust.

Like the devil when he says to man: Disbelieve. But when he disbelieves, he says: I am free of thee: surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Thus, in the end, both will find themselves in the Fire, therein to abide: that is the reward of evil-doers.

Talal Itani

The ultimate end for both of them is the Fire, where they will dwell forever. Such is the requital for the wrongdoers.

Tafsir jalalayn

So the sequel for both will be, that is, [the sequel for both] the one who leads astray and the one led astray (a variant reading for [`qibatahum] has the nominative `qibatuhum, as the subject of kna, `will be'), that they are in the Fire, therein abiding. And that is the requital of the evildoers, that is, the disbelievers.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

فَكَانَ عَاقِبَتَهُمَا أَنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ خَالِدَيْنِ فِيهَا

So, the end of both will be that they will be in the Fire, abiding therein.

meaning, the end of both he, Shaytan, who commanded that disbelief be committed, and those who accepted his call, was in the fire of Hell forever,

وَذَلِكَ جَزَاء الظَّالِمِينَ



Such is the recompense of the wrongdoers.

means, this is the recompense of every unjust person
