Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Mujadila Verse 17
Al-Mujadila [58]: 17 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ اَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَآ اَوْلَادُهُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔاۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ النَّارِۗ هُمْ فِيْهَا خٰلِدُوْنَ (المجادلة : ٥٨)

- Never
- tugh'niya
- تُغْنِىَ
- will avail
- ʿanhum
- عَنْهُمْ
- them
- amwāluhum
- أَمْوَٰلُهُمْ
- their wealth
- walā
- وَلَآ
- and not
- awlāduhum
- أَوْلَٰدُهُم
- their children
- mina
- مِّنَ
- against
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔاۚ
- (in) anything
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- Those
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (will be) companions
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِۖ
- (of) the Fire
- hum
- هُمْ
- they
- fīhā
- فِيهَا
- in it
- khālidūna
- خَٰلِدُونَ
- will abide forever
Transliteration:
Lan tughniya 'anhum amwaaluhum wa laaa awladuhum minal laahi shai'aa; ulaaa 'ika As haabun Naari hum feehaa khaalidoon(QS. al-Mujādilah:17)
English / Sahih Translation:
Never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally (QS. Al-Mujadila, ayah 17)

Their riches and their children will never benefit them against Allah. They are the inmates of the Fire. They will live there forever,

Neither their possessions nor their offspring will be of any avail to them against Allah. They are the people of the Fire; therein they shall abide.

Their properties/possessions and nor their children will never/not enrich/suffice from them from God a thing, those are the fire`s owners/company/friends, they are in it immortally/eternally .

Their children and their wealth will avail them nothing against Allah. They will be the dwellers of the Fire to dwell therein forever.
Wahiduddin Khan
Neither their wealth nor their children will be of the least avail [in protecting them] against God -- they are the inheritors of Hell, and there they shall remain forever.
Talal Itani
Neither their possessions nor their children will avail them anything against God. These are the inhabitants of the Fire, dwelling therein forever.
Tafsir jalalayn
Neither their possessions nor their children will avail them in any way against God, against His chastisement. Those -- they are the inhabitants of the Fire, wherein they will abide.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
لَن تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ شَيْيًا
Their children and their wealth will avail them nothing against Allah.
meaning, none of their possessions can avert the affliction when it is sent their way,
أُوْلَيِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ
They will be the dwellers of the Fire to dwell therein forever.
Allah the Exalted said
