Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hadid Verse 2
Al-Hadid [57]: 2 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ يُحْيٖ وَيُمِيْتُۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ (الحديد : ٥٧)
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- For Him
- mul'ku
- مُلْكُ
- (is the) dominion
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- (of) the heavens
- wal-arḍi
- وَٱلْأَرْضِۖ
- and the earth
- yuḥ'yī
- يُحْىِۦ
- He gives life
- wayumītu
- وَيُمِيتُۖ
- and causes death
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- (is) over
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- all
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- things
- qadīrun
- قَدِيرٌ
- All-Powerful
Transliteration:
Lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi yuhyee wa yumeetu wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer(QS. al-Ḥadīd:2)
English / Sahih Translation:
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent. (QS. Al-Hadid, ayah 2)

Tafseer Ibn Kathir
لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالاَْرْضِ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ
His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. It is He Who gives life and causes death;
He is the absolute Owner of His creation, bringing life and death and granting what He wills to whom He wills,
وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
and He is Able to do all things.
whatever He wills, is, and whatever He does not will, will never be.
