Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Hadid Verse 15

Al-Hadid [57]: 15 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَّلَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ مَأْوٰىكُمُ النَّارُۗ هِيَ مَوْلٰىكُمْۗ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ (الحديد : ٥٧)

fal-yawma
فَٱلْيَوْمَ
So today
لَا
not
yu'khadhu
يُؤْخَذُ
will be accepted
minkum
مِنكُمْ
from you
fid'yatun
فِدْيَةٌ
any ransom
walā
وَلَا
and not
mina
مِنَ
from
alladhīna
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
kafarū
كَفَرُوا۟ۚ
disbelieved
mawākumu
مَأْوَىٰكُمُ
Your abode
l-nāru
ٱلنَّارُۖ
(is) the Fire;
hiya
هِىَ
it (is)
mawlākum
مَوْلَىٰكُمْۖ
your protector
wabi'sa
وَبِئْسَ
and wretched is
l-maṣīru
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
the destination

Transliteration:

Fal Yawma laa yu'khazu minkum fidyatunw wa laa minal lazeena kafaroo; maawaakumun Naaru hiya maw laakum wa bi'sal maseer (QS. al-Ḥadīd:15)

English / Sahih Translation:

So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination." (QS. Al-Hadid, ayah 15)

Mufti Taqi Usmani

So, no ransom will be accepted from you today, nor from those who disbelieved (openly). Your abode is the Fire, and it is an evil end.”

English Literal

So the day/today no ransom/compensation (will) be taken from you, and nor from those who disbelieved, and your shelter/refuge (is) the fire , it is your guardian/ally , and how bad (is) the end/ destination?

“Therefore, today no ransom will be accepted from you, nor from those who disbelieved. The Fire is your refuge. It is your companion—what an evil fate!”

Tafsir jalalayn

So on this day no ransom will be taken from you (read tu'khadhu or yu'khadhu) nor from those who disbelieved. Your abode will be the Fire; it will be your guardian, it is [the place truly] deserving of you, and an evil destination!', it is.

Tafseer Ibn Kathir

فَالْيَوْمَ لَاا يُوْخَذُ مِنكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَلَاا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

So, this Day no ransom shall be taken from you, nor of those who disbelieved.

Allah's statement,
مَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ
(Your abode is the Fire).

means, the Fire is your final destination and to it will be your return for residence,

هِيَ مَوْلَاكُمْ وَبِيْسَ الْمَصِيرُ



That is your protector, and worst indeed is that destination.

meaning, it is the worthy shelter for you rather than any other residence, because of your disbelief and doubt, and how evil is the Fire for Final Destination
