مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يُقْرِضُ اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضٰعِفَهٗ لَهٗ وَلَهٗٓ اَجْرٌ كَرِيْمٌ ١١
- man
- مَّن
- Who (is)
- dhā
- ذَا
- the one who
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- the one who
- yuq'riḍu
- يُقْرِضُ
- will loan
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (to) Allah
- qarḍan
- قَرْضًا
- a loan
- ḥasanan
- حَسَنًا
- goodly
- fayuḍāʿifahu
- فَيُضَٰعِفَهُۥ
- so He will multiply it
- lahu
- لَهُۥ
- for him
- walahu
- وَلَهُۥٓ
- and for him
- ajrun
- أَجْرٌ
- (is) a reward
- karīmun
- كَرِيمٌ
- noble?
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward? (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 11)Tafsir
يَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِ يَسْعٰى نُوْرُهُمْ بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَبِاَيْمَانِهِمْ بُشْرٰىكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنّٰتٌ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۗ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيْمُۚ ١٢
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (On the) Day
- tarā
- تَرَى
- you will see
- l-mu'minīna
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believing men
- wal-mu'mināti
- وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ
- and the believing women
- yasʿā
- يَسْعَىٰ
- running
- nūruhum
- نُورُهُم
- their light
- bayna
- بَيْنَ
- before them
- aydīhim
- أَيْدِيهِمْ
- before them
- wabi-aymānihim
- وَبِأَيْمَٰنِهِم
- and on their right
- bush'rākumu
- بُشْرَىٰكُمُ
- "Glad tidings for you
- l-yawma
- ٱلْيَوْمَ
- this Day
- jannātun
- جَنَّٰتٌ
- gardens
- tajrī
- تَجْرِى
- flowing
- min
- مِن
- from
- taḥtihā
- تَحْتِهَا
- underneath it
- l-anhāru
- ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
- the rivers
- khālidīna
- خَٰلِدِينَ
- abiding forever
- fīhā
- فِيهَاۚ
- therein
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- huwa
- هُوَ
- [it] (is)
- l-fawzu
- ٱلْفَوْزُ
- the success
- l-ʿaẓīmu
- ٱلْعَظِيمُ
- the great"
On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 12)Tafsir
يَوْمَ يَقُوْلُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ وَالْمُنٰفِقٰتُ لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا انْظُرُوْنَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِنْ نُّوْرِكُمْۚ قِيْلَ ارْجِعُوْا وَرَاۤءَكُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوْا نُوْرًاۗ فَضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِسُوْرٍ لَّهٗ بَابٌۗ بَاطِنُهٗ فِيْهِ الرَّحْمَةُ وَظَاهِرُهٗ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ الْعَذَابُۗ ١٣
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (On the) Day
- yaqūlu
- يَقُولُ
- will say
- l-munāfiqūna
- ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ
- the hypocrite men
- wal-munāfiqātu
- وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ
- and the hypocrite women
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- to those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believed
- unẓurūnā
- ٱنظُرُونَا
- "Wait for us
- naqtabis
- نَقْتَبِسْ
- we may acquire
- min
- مِن
- of
- nūrikum
- نُّورِكُمْ
- your light"
- qīla
- قِيلَ
- It will be said
- ir'jiʿū
- ٱرْجِعُوا۟
- "Go back
- warāakum
- وَرَآءَكُمْ
- behind you
- fal-tamisū
- فَٱلْتَمِسُوا۟
- and seek
- nūran
- نُورًا
- light"
- faḍuriba
- فَضُرِبَ
- Then will be put up
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُم
- between them
- bisūrin
- بِسُورٍ
- a wall
- lahu
- لَّهُۥ
- for it
- bābun
- بَابٌۢ
- a gate
- bāṭinuhu
- بَاطِنُهُۥ
- its interior
- fīhi
- فِيهِ
- in it
- l-raḥmatu
- ٱلرَّحْمَةُ
- (is) mercy
- waẓāhiruhu
- وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ
- but its exterior
- min
- مِن
- facing towards [it]
- qibalihi
- قِبَلِهِ
- facing towards [it]
- l-ʿadhābu
- ٱلْعَذَابُ
- the punishment
On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 13)Tafsir
يُنَادُوْنَهُمْ اَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَّعَكُمْۗ قَالُوْا بَلٰى وَلٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْاَمَانِيُّ حَتّٰى جَاۤءَ اَمْرُ اللّٰهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللّٰهِ الْغَرُوْرُ ١٤
- yunādūnahum
- يُنَادُونَهُمْ
- They will call them
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- "Were not
- nakun
- نَكُن
- we
- maʿakum
- مَّعَكُمْۖ
- with you?"
- qālū
- قَالُوا۟
- They will say
- balā
- بَلَىٰ
- "Yes
- walākinnakum
- وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ
- but you
- fatantum
- فَتَنتُمْ
- led to temptation
- anfusakum
- أَنفُسَكُمْ
- yourselves
- watarabbaṣtum
- وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ
- and you awaited
- wa-ir'tabtum
- وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ
- and you doubted
- wagharratkumu
- وَغَرَّتْكُمُ
- and deceived you
- l-amāniyu
- ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ
- the wishful thinking
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- until
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- amru
- أَمْرُ
- (the) Command
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- wagharrakum
- وَغَرَّكُم
- And deceived you
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- about Allah
- l-gharūru
- ٱلْغَرُورُ
- the deceiver
They [i.e., the hypocrites] will call to them [i.e., the believers], "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver [i.e., Satan] deceived you concerning Allah. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 14)Tafsir
فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَّلَا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْاۗ مَأْوٰىكُمُ النَّارُۗ هِيَ مَوْلٰىكُمْۗ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ ١٥
- fal-yawma
- فَٱلْيَوْمَ
- So today
- lā
- لَا
- not
- yu'khadhu
- يُؤْخَذُ
- will be accepted
- minkum
- مِنكُمْ
- from you
- fid'yatun
- فِدْيَةٌ
- any ransom
- walā
- وَلَا
- and not
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟ۚ
- disbelieved
- mawākumu
- مَأْوَىٰكُمُ
- Your abode
- l-nāru
- ٱلنَّارُۖ
- (is) the Fire;
- hiya
- هِىَ
- it (is)
- mawlākum
- مَوْلَىٰكُمْۖ
- your protector
- wabi'sa
- وَبِئْسَ
- and wretched is
- l-maṣīru
- ٱلْمَصِيرُ
- the destination
So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination." (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 15)Tafsir
اَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوْبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّۙ وَلَا يَكُوْنُوْا كَالَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْاَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْۗ وَكَثِيْرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فٰسِقُوْنَ ١٦
- alam
- أَلَمْ
- Has not
- yani
- يَأْنِ
- come (the) time
- lilladhīna
- لِلَّذِينَ
- for those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوٓا۟
- believed
- an
- أَن
- that
- takhshaʿa
- تَخْشَعَ
- become humble
- qulūbuhum
- قُلُوبُهُمْ
- their hearts
- lidhik'ri
- لِذِكْرِ
- at (the) remembrance (of) Allah
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- at (the) remembrance (of) Allah
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- nazala
- نَزَلَ
- has come down
- mina
- مِنَ
- of
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- the truth?
- walā
- وَلَا
- And not
- yakūnū
- يَكُونُوا۟
- they become
- ka-alladhīna
- كَٱلَّذِينَ
- like those who
- ūtū
- أُوتُوا۟
- were given
- l-kitāba
- ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
- the Book
- min
- مِن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُ
- before
- faṭāla
- فَطَالَ
- (and) was prolonged
- ʿalayhimu
- عَلَيْهِمُ
- for them
- l-amadu
- ٱلْأَمَدُ
- the term
- faqasat
- فَقَسَتْ
- so hardened
- qulūbuhum
- قُلُوبُهُمْۖ
- their hearts
- wakathīrun
- وَكَثِيرٌ
- and many
- min'hum
- مِّنْهُمْ
- of them
- fāsiqūna
- فَٰسِقُونَ
- (are) defiantly disobedient
Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 16)Tafsir
اِعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحْيِ الْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَاۗ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ ١٧
- iʿ'lamū
- ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
- Know
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- yuḥ'yī
- يُحْىِ
- gives life
- l-arḍa
- ٱلْأَرْضَ
- (to) the earth
- baʿda
- بَعْدَ
- after
- mawtihā
- مَوْتِهَاۚ
- its death
- qad
- قَدْ
- Indeed
- bayyannā
- بَيَّنَّا
- We have made clear
- lakumu
- لَكُمُ
- to you
- l-āyāti
- ٱلْءَايَٰتِ
- the Signs
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- taʿqilūna
- تَعْقِلُونَ
- understand
Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 17)Tafsir
اِنَّ الْمُصَّدِّقِيْنَ وَالْمُصَّدِّقٰتِ وَاَقْرَضُوا اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُّضٰعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ اَجْرٌ كَرِيْمٌ ١٨
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-muṣadiqīna
- ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ
- the men who give charity
- wal-muṣadiqāti
- وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ
- and the women who give charity
- wa-aqraḍū
- وَأَقْرَضُوا۟
- and who lend
- l-laha
- ٱللَّهَ
- (to) Allah
- qarḍan
- قَرْضًا
- a loan
- ḥasanan
- حَسَنًا
- goodly
- yuḍāʿafu
- يُضَٰعَفُ
- it will be multiplied
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- for them
- walahum
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- ajrun
- أَجْرٌ
- (is) a reward
- karīmun
- كَرِيمٌ
- noble
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan – it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 18)Tafsir
وَالَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖٓ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيْقُوْنَ ۖوَالشُّهَدَاۤءُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۗ لَهُمْ اَجْرُهُمْ وَنُوْرُهُمْۗ وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَحِيْمِ ࣖ ١٩
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- And those who
- āmanū
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- bil-lahi
- بِٱللَّهِ
- in Allah
- warusulihi
- وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ
- and His Messengers
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- [those]
- humu
- هُمُ
- they
- l-ṣidīqūna
- ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَۖ
- (are) the truthful
- wal-shuhadāu
- وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ
- and the martyrs
- ʿinda
- عِندَ
- (are) with
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- their Lord
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- For them
- ajruhum
- أَجْرُهُمْ
- (is) their reward
- wanūruhum
- وَنُورُهُمْۖ
- and their light
- wa-alladhīna
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- But those who
- kafarū
- كَفَرُوا۟
- disbelieve
- wakadhabū
- وَكَذَّبُوا۟
- and deny
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ
- Our Verses
- ulāika
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
- those
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-jaḥīmi
- ٱلْجَحِيمِ
- (of) the Hellfire
And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers – those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses – those are the companions of Hellfire. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 19)Tafsir
اِعْلَمُوْٓا اَنَّمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَّلَهْوٌ وَّزِيْنَةٌ وَّتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِى الْاَمْوَالِ وَالْاَوْلَادِۗ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ اَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهٗ ثُمَّ يَهِيْجُ فَتَرٰىهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُوْنُ حُطَامًاۗ وَفِى الْاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌۙ وَّمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ ۗوَمَا الْحَيٰوةُ الدُّنْيَآ اِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُوْرِ ٢٠
- iʿ'lamū
- ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟
- Know
- annamā
- أَنَّمَا
- that
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
- laʿibun
- لَعِبٌ
- (is) play
- walahwun
- وَلَهْوٌ
- and amusement
- wazīnatun
- وَزِينَةٌ
- and adornment
- watafākhurun
- وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ
- and boasting
- baynakum
- بَيْنَكُمْ
- among you
- watakāthurun
- وَتَكَاثُرٌ
- and competition in increase
- fī
- فِى
- of
- l-amwāli
- ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ
- the wealth
- wal-awlādi
- وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِۖ
- and the children
- kamathali
- كَمَثَلِ
- like (the) example
- ghaythin
- غَيْثٍ
- (of) a rain
- aʿjaba
- أَعْجَبَ
- pleases
- l-kufāra
- ٱلْكُفَّارَ
- the tillers
- nabātuhu
- نَبَاتُهُۥ
- its growth;
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yahīju
- يَهِيجُ
- it dries
- fatarāhu
- فَتَرَىٰهُ
- and you see it
- muṣ'farran
- مُصْفَرًّا
- turning yellow;
- thumma
- ثُمَّ
- then
- yakūnu
- يَكُونُ
- becomes
- ḥuṭāman
- حُطَٰمًاۖ
- debris
- wafī
- وَفِى
- And in
- l-ākhirati
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- the Hereafter
- ʿadhābun
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- shadīdun
- شَدِيدٌ
- severe
- wamaghfiratun
- وَمَغْفِرَةٌ
- and forgiveness
- mina
- مِّنَ
- from
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- wariḍ'wānun
- وَرِضْوَٰنٌۚ
- and Pleasure
- wamā
- وَمَا
- But not
- l-ḥayatu
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
- (is) the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَآ
- (of) the world
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- matāʿu
- مَتَٰعُ
- (the) enjoyment
- l-ghurūri
- ٱلْغُرُورِ
- (of) delusion
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children – like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion. (QS. [57] Al-Hadid: 20)Tafsir
