Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Waqi'ah Verse 65
Al-Waqi'ah [56]: 65 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
لَوْ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلْنٰهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُوْنَۙ (الواقعة : ٥٦)

Transliteration:
Law nashaaa'u laja'al naahu hutaaman fazaltum tafakkahoon(QS. al-Wāqiʿah:65)
English / Sahih Translation:
If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder, (QS. Al-Waqi'ah, ayah 65)

Tafsir jalalayn
If We will, We could surely turn it into chaff, dried vegetation producing no seed, and you would remain (zaltum is actually zaliltum, the lm having a kasra inflection; but it has been omitted to soften it), that is to say, you spend all day, bemused (tafakkahna; one of the original t' [tatafakkahna] letters has been omitted), surprised by this, and you would say;
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
لَوْ نَشَاء لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامً
Were it Our will, We could crumble it to dry pieces,
meaning, `We caused the seeds to grow with Our compassion and mercy and left them intact inside the earth as mercy for you. If We will, We would turn them dry before they ripen and get ready to be harvested,'
ا فَظَلَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ
and you would be Tafakkahun.
Allah explained this statement by saying,
إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ
