Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Waqi'ah Verse 45

Al-Waqi'ah [56]: 45 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَبْلَ ذٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِيْنَۚ (الواقعة : ٥٦)

innahum
إِنَّهُمْ
Indeed they
kānū
كَانُوا۟
were
qabla
قَبْلَ
before
dhālika
ذَٰلِكَ
that
mut'rafīna
مُتْرَفِينَ
indulging in affluence

Transliteration:

Innaahum kaanoo qabla zaalika mutrafeen (QS. al-Wāqiʿah:45)

English / Sahih Translation:

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence, (QS. Al-Waqi'ah, ayah 45)

meaning, in the life of the world, they were enjoying life's pleasures and satisfying their lusts, all the while ignoring what the Messengers brought to them
