عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّبَدِّلَ اَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِيْ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ ٦١
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰٓ
- In
- an
- أَن
- that
- nubaddila
- نُّبَدِّلَ
- We (will) change
- amthālakum
- أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ
- your likeness[es]
- wanunshi-akum
- وَنُنشِئَكُمْ
- and produce you
- fī
- فِى
- in
- mā
- مَا
- what
- lā
- لَا
- not
- taʿlamūna
- تَعْلَمُونَ
- you know
In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know. (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 61)Tafsir
62
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْاَةَ الْاُوْلٰى فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٦٢
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- ʿalim'tumu
- عَلِمْتُمُ
- you know
- l-nashata
- ٱلنَّشْأَةَ
- the creation
- l-ūlā
- ٱلْأُولَىٰ
- the first
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَا
- so why not
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- you take heed?
And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 62)Tafsir
63
اَفَرَءَيْتُمْ مَّا تَحْرُثُوْنَۗ ٦٣
- afara-aytum
- أَفَرَءَيْتُم
- And do you see
- mā
- مَّا
- what
- taḥruthūna
- تَحْرُثُونَ
- you sow?
And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 63)Tafsir
64
ءَاَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُوْنَهٗٓ اَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُوْنَ ٦٤
- a-antum
- ءَأَنتُمْ
- Is it you (who)
- tazraʿūnahu
- تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ
- cause it to grow
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- (are) We
- l-zāriʿūna
- ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ
- the Ones Who grow?
Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 64)Tafsir
65
لَوْ نَشَاۤءُ لَجَعَلْنٰهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُوْنَۙ ٦٥
- law
- لَوْ
- If
- nashāu
- نَشَآءُ
- We willed
- lajaʿalnāhu
- لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ
- We (would) surely make it
- ḥuṭāman
- حُطَٰمًا
- debris
- faẓaltum
- فَظَلْتُمْ
- then you would remain
- tafakkahūna
- تَفَكَّهُونَ
- wondering
If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder, (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 65)Tafsir
66
اِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُوْنَۙ ٦٦
- innā
- إِنَّا
- "Indeed we
- lamugh'ramūna
- لَمُغْرَمُونَ
- surely are laden with debt
[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 66)Tafsir
67
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُوْمُوْنَ ٦٧
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- we
- maḥrūmūna
- مَحْرُومُونَ
- (are) deprived"
Rather, we have been deprived." (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 67)Tafsir
68
اَفَرَءَيْتُمُ الْمَاۤءَ الَّذِيْ تَشْرَبُوْنَۗ ٦٨
- afara-aytumu
- أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ
- Do you see
- l-māa
- ٱلْمَآءَ
- the water
- alladhī
- ٱلَّذِى
- which
- tashrabūna
- تَشْرَبُونَ
- you drink?
And have you seen the water that you drink? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 68)Tafsir
69
ءَاَنْتُمْ اَنْزَلْتُمُوْهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ اَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْزِلُوْنَ ٦٩
- a-antum
- ءَأَنتُمْ
- Is it you
- anzaltumūhu
- أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ
- who send it down
- mina
- مِنَ
- from
- l-muz'ni
- ٱلْمُزْنِ
- the rain clouds
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- We
- l-munzilūna
- ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ
- (are) the Ones to send?
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 69)Tafsir
70
لَوْ نَشَاۤءُ جَعَلْنٰهُ اُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُوْنَ ٧٠
- law
- لَوْ
- If
- nashāu
- نَشَآءُ
- We willed
- jaʿalnāhu
- جَعَلْنَٰهُ
- We (could) make it
- ujājan
- أُجَاجًا
- salty
- falawlā
- فَلَوْلَا
- then why are you not grateful?
- tashkurūna
- تَشْكُرُونَ
- then why are you not grateful?
If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 70)Tafsir
