اِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُۙ ١

When the Occurrence occurs, (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 1)Tafsir

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۘ ٢
- laysa
- لَيْسَ
- Not
- liwaqʿatihā
- لِوَقْعَتِهَا
- at its occurrence
- kādhibatun
- كَاذِبَةٌ
- a denial
There is, at its occurrence, no denial. (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 2)Tafsir

خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ ٣
- khāfiḍatun
- خَافِضَةٌ
- Bringing down
- rāfiʿatun
- رَّافِعَةٌ
- raising up
It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 3)Tafsir
4
اِذَا رُجَّتِ الْاَرْضُ رَجًّاۙ ٤
- idhā
- إِذَا
- When
- rujjati
- رُجَّتِ
- will be shaken
- l-arḍu
- ٱلْأَرْضُ
- the earth
- rajjan
- رَجًّا
- (with) a shaking
When the earth is shaken with convulsion (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 4)Tafsir
5
وَّبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّاۙ ٥
- wabussati
- وَبُسَّتِ
- And will be crumbled
- l-jibālu
- ٱلْجِبَالُ
- the mountains
- bassan
- بَسًّا
- (with awful) crumbling
And the mountains are broken down, crumbling (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 5)Tafsir
6
فَكَانَتْ هَبَاۤءً مُّنْۢبَثًّاۙ ٦
- fakānat
- فَكَانَتْ
- So they become
- habāan
- هَبَآءً
- dust particles
- munbathan
- مُّنۢبَثًّا
- dispersing
And become dust dispersing, (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 6)Tafsir
7
وَّكُنْتُمْ اَزْوَاجًا ثَلٰثَةً ۗ ٧
- wakuntum
- وَكُنتُمْ
- And you will become
- azwājan
- أَزْوَٰجًا
- kinds
- thalāthatan
- ثَلَٰثَةً
- three
And you become [of] three kinds: (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 7)Tafsir
8
فَاَصْحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ ەۙ مَآ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ ۗ ٨
- fa-aṣḥābu
- فَأَصْحَٰبُ
- Then (the) companions
- l-maymanati
- ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
- (of) the right
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-maymanati
- ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
- (of) the right?
Then the companions of the right – what are the companions of the right? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 8)Tafsir
9
وَاَصْحٰبُ الْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ەۙ مَآ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ۗ ٩
- wa-aṣḥābu
- وَأَصْحَٰبُ
- And (the) companions
- l-mashamati
- ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
- (of) the left
- mā
- مَآ
- what
- aṣḥābu
- أَصْحَٰبُ
- (are the) companions
- l-mashamati
- ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
- (of) the left?
And the companions of the left – what are companions of the left? (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 9)Tafsir
10
وَالسّٰبِقُوْنَ السّٰبِقُوْنَۙ ١٠
- wal-sābiqūna
- وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
- And the foremost
- l-sābiqūna
- ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
- (are) the foremost
And the forerunners, the forerunners. (QS. [56] Al-Waqi'ah: 10)Tafsir
