Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman Verse 9

Ar-Rahman [55]: 9 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاَقِيْمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيْزَانَ (الرحمن : ٥٥)

wa-aqīmū
وَأَقِيمُوا۟
And establish
l-wazna
ٱلْوَزْنَ
the weight
bil-qis'ṭi
بِٱلْقِسْطِ
in justice
walā
وَلَا
and (do) not
tukh'sirū
تُخْسِرُوا۟
make deficient
l-mīzāna
ٱلْمِيزَانَ
the balance

Transliteration:

Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan (QS. ar-Raḥmān:9)

English / Sahih Translation:

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. (QS. Ar-Rahman, ayah 9)

And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient.

meaning, do not cheat in the weights and measures, but rather observe justice and fairness,

وَزِنُواْ بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ

And weigh with the true and straight balance. (26;182)

Allah said,

وَالاْاَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْاَنَامِ
