Transliteration:

Kazzabat Samoodu binnuzur (QS. al-Q̈amar:23)

English / Sahih Translation:

Thamud denied the warning. (QS. Al-Qamar, ayah 23)

The Story of Thamud

Allah states here that,

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ


Thamud denied the warnings.

i.e. the people of Thamud denied their Messenger Salih,

فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلَلٍ وَسُعُرٍ
