Al-Qur'an Surah Al-Qamar Verse 19
Al-Qamar [54]: 19 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
اِنَّآ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيْحًا صَرْصَرًا فِيْ يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّۙ (القمر : ٥٤)

Transliteration:
Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim reehan sarsaran fee Yawmi nahsim mustamirr(QS. al-Q̈amar:19)
English / Sahih Translation:
Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune, (QS. Al-Qamar, ayah 19)

Tafsir jalalayn
Indeed We unleashed upon them a clamorous wind, intensely noisy, on a day of prolonged ill fortune, (nahsin mustamirr means) either one of continuous ill fortune, or one of severe ill fortune -- and this was the last Wednesday of the month --
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا
Verily, We sent against them a violently cold (Sarsar) wind
means, a bitterly cold and furious wind,
فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ
on a day of calamity,
against them, according to Ad-Dahhak, Qatadah and As-Suddi,
مُّسْتَمِرٍّ
continuous,
upon them because the calamity, torment and destruction that they suffered in this life on that day continued with that of the Hereafter,
تَنزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ
