وَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَ اٰلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُۚ ٤١
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- jāa
- جَآءَ
- came
- āla
- ءَالَ
- (to the) people
- fir'ʿawna
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- (of) Firaun
- l-nudhuru
- ٱلنُّذُرُ
- warnings
And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 41)Tafsir
42
كَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ اَخْذَ عَزِيْزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ ٤٢
- kadhabū
- كَذَّبُوا۟
- They denied
- biāyātinā
- بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
- Our Signs
- kullihā
- كُلِّهَا
- all of them
- fa-akhadhnāhum
- فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ
- so We seized them
- akhdha
- أَخْذَ
- (with) a seizure
- ʿazīzin
- عَزِيزٍ
- (of) All-Mighty
- muq'tadirin
- مُّقْتَدِرٍ
- (the) Powerful One
They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 42)Tafsir
43
اَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ اُولٰۤىِٕكُمْ اَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاۤءَةٌ فِى الزُّبُرِۚ ٤٣
- akuffārukum
- أَكُفَّارُكُمْ
- Are your disbelievers
- khayrun
- خَيْرٌ
- better
- min
- مِّنْ
- than
- ulāikum
- أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ
- those
- am
- أَمْ
- or
- lakum
- لَكُم
- for you
- barāatun
- بَرَآءَةٌ
- (is) an exemption
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-zuburi
- ٱلزُّبُرِ
- the Scriptures?
Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scriptures? (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 43)Tafsir
44
اَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ نَحْنُ جَمِيْعٌ مُّنْتَصِرٌ ٤٤
- am
- أَمْ
- Or
- yaqūlūna
- يَقُولُونَ
- (do) they say
- naḥnu
- نَحْنُ
- "We
- jamīʿun
- جَمِيعٌ
- (are) an assembly
- muntaṣirun
- مُّنتَصِرٌ
- helping (each other)?"
Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 44)Tafsir
45
سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّوْنَ الدُّبُرَ ٤٥
- sayuh'zamu
- سَيُهْزَمُ
- Soon will be defeated
- l-jamʿu
- ٱلْجَمْعُ
- (their) assembly
- wayuwallūna
- وَيُوَلُّونَ
- and they will turn
- l-dubura
- ٱلدُّبُرَ
- (their) backs
[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 45)Tafsir
46
بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ اَدْهٰى وَاَمَرُّ ٤٦
- bali
- بَلِ
- Nay
- l-sāʿatu
- ٱلسَّاعَةُ
- the Hour
- mawʿiduhum
- مَوْعِدُهُمْ
- (is) their promised time
- wal-sāʿatu
- وَٱلسَّاعَةُ
- and the Hour
- adhā
- أَدْهَىٰ
- (will be) more grievous
- wa-amarru
- وَأَمَرُّ
- and more bitter
But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 46)Tafsir
47
اِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ فِيْ ضَلٰلٍ وَّسُعُرٍۘ ٤٧
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- l-muj'rimīna
- ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
- the criminals
- fī
- فِى
- (are) in
- ḍalālin
- ضَلَٰلٍ
- an error
- wasuʿurin
- وَسُعُرٍ
- and madness
Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 47)Tafsir
48
يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُوْنَ فِى النَّارِ عَلٰى وُجُوْهِهِمْۗ ذُوْقُوْا مَسَّ سَقَرَ ٤٨
- yawma
- يَوْمَ
- (The) Day
- yus'ḥabūna
- يُسْحَبُونَ
- they will be dragged
- fī
- فِى
- into
- l-nāri
- ٱلنَّارِ
- the Fire
- ʿalā
- عَلَىٰ
- on
- wujūhihim
- وُجُوهِهِمْ
- their faces
- dhūqū
- ذُوقُوا۟
- "Taste
- massa
- مَسَّ
- (the) touch
- saqara
- سَقَرَ
- (of) Hell"
The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 48)Tafsir
49
اِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ ٤٩
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed [We]
- kulla
- كُلَّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- khalaqnāhu
- خَلَقْنَٰهُ
- We created it
- biqadarin
- بِقَدَرٍ
- by a measure
Indeed, all things We created with predestination. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 49)Tafsir
50
وَمَآ اَمْرُنَآ اِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ ۢبِالْبَصَرِ ٥٠
- wamā
- وَمَآ
- And not
- amrunā
- أَمْرُنَآ
- (is) Our Command
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- wāḥidatun
- وَٰحِدَةٌ
- one
- kalamḥin
- كَلَمْحٍۭ
- like the twinkling
- bil-baṣari
- بِٱلْبَصَرِ
- (of) the eye
And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 50)Tafsir
