فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ ٢١
- fakayfa
- فَكَيْفَ
- So how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿadhābī
- عَذَابِى
- My punishment
- wanudhuri
- وَنُذُرِ
- and My warnings?
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 21)Tafsir
22
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْاٰنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُّدَّكِرٍ ࣖ ٢٢
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- yassarnā
- يَسَّرْنَا
- We have made easy
- l-qur'āna
- ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
- the Quran
- lildhik'ri
- لِلذِّكْرِ
- for remembrance
- fahal
- فَهَلْ
- so is (there)
- min
- مِن
- any
- muddakirin
- مُّدَّكِرٍ
- who will receive admonition?
And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 22)Tafsir
23
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِالنُّذُرِ ٢٣
- kadhabat
- كَذَّبَتْ
- Denied
- thamūdu
- ثَمُودُ
- Thamud
- bil-nudhuri
- بِٱلنُّذُرِ
- the warnings
Thamud denied the warning. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 23)Tafsir
24
فَقَالُوْٓا اَبَشَرًا مِّنَّا وَاحِدًا نَّتَّبِعُهٗٓ ۙاِنَّآ اِذًا لَّفِيْ ضَلٰلٍ وَّسُعُرٍ ٢٤
- faqālū
- فَقَالُوٓا۟
- And said
- abasharan
- أَبَشَرًا
- "Is (it) a human being
- minnā
- مِّنَّا
- among us
- wāḥidan
- وَٰحِدًا
- one
- nattabiʿuhu
- نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ
- (that) we should follow him
- innā
- إِنَّآ
- Indeed we
- idhan
- إِذًا
- then
- lafī
- لَّفِى
- (will be) surely in
- ḍalālin
- ضَلَٰلٍ
- error
- wasuʿurin
- وَسُعُرٍ
- and madness
And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 24)Tafsir
25
ءَاُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ اَشِرٌ ٢٥
- a-ul'qiya
- أَءُلْقِىَ
- Has been sent
- l-dhik'ru
- ٱلذِّكْرُ
- the Reminder
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- to him
- min
- مِنۢ
- from
- bayninā
- بَيْنِنَا
- among us?
- bal
- بَلْ
- Nay
- huwa
- هُوَ
- he
- kadhābun
- كَذَّابٌ
- (is) a liar
- ashirun
- أَشِرٌ
- insolent"
Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar." (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 25)Tafsir
26
سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ غَدًا مَّنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْاَشِرُ ٢٦
- sayaʿlamūna
- سَيَعْلَمُونَ
- They will know
- ghadan
- غَدًا
- tomorrow
- mani
- مَّنِ
- who
- l-kadhābu
- ٱلْكَذَّابُ
- (is) the liar
- l-ashiru
- ٱلْأَشِرُ
- the insolent one
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 26)Tafsir
27
اِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَّهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْۖ ٢٧
- innā
- إِنَّا
- Indeed We
- mur'silū
- مُرْسِلُوا۟
- (are) sending
- l-nāqati
- ٱلنَّاقَةِ
- the she-camel
- fit'natan
- فِتْنَةً
- (as) a trial
- lahum
- لَّهُمْ
- for them
- fa-ir'taqib'hum
- فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ
- so watch them
- wa-iṣ'ṭabir
- وَٱصْطَبِرْ
- and be patient
Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 27)Tafsir
28
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ اَنَّ الْمَاۤءَ قِسْمَةٌ ۢ بَيْنَهُمْۚ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُّحْتَضَرٌ ٢٨
- wanabbi'hum
- وَنَبِّئْهُمْ
- And inform them
- anna
- أَنَّ
- that
- l-māa
- ٱلْمَآءَ
- the water
- qis'matun
- قِسْمَةٌۢ
- (is) to be shared
- baynahum
- بَيْنَهُمْۖ
- between them
- kullu
- كُلُّ
- each
- shir'bin
- شِرْبٍ
- drink
- muḥ'taḍarun
- مُّحْتَضَرٌ
- attended
And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 28)Tafsir
29
فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطٰى فَعَقَرَ ٢٩
- fanādaw
- فَنَادَوْا۟
- But they called
- ṣāḥibahum
- صَاحِبَهُمْ
- their companion
- fataʿāṭā
- فَتَعَاطَىٰ
- and he took
- faʿaqara
- فَعَقَرَ
- and hamstrung
But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 29)Tafsir
30
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِيْ وَنُذُرِ ٣٠
- fakayfa
- فَكَيْفَ
- So how
- kāna
- كَانَ
- was
- ʿadhābī
- عَذَابِى
- My punishment
- wanudhuri
- وَنُذُرِ
- and My warnings
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. (QS. [54] Al-Qamar: 30)Tafsir
