اَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْاُنْثٰى ٢١
- alakumu
- أَلَكُمُ
- Is for you
- l-dhakaru
- ٱلذَّكَرُ
- the male
- walahu
- وَلَهُ
- and for Him
- l-unthā
- ٱلْأُنثَىٰ
- the female?
Is the male for you and for Him the female? (QS. [53] An-Najm: 21)Tafsir
تِلْكَ اِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيْزٰى ٢٢
- til'ka
- تِلْكَ
- This
- idhan
- إِذًا
- then
- qis'matun
- قِسْمَةٌ
- (is) a division
- ḍīzā
- ضِيزَىٰٓ
- unfair
That, then, is an unjust division. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 22)Tafsir
اِنْ هِيَ اِلَّآ اَسْمَاۤءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوْهَآ اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَاۤؤُكُمْ مَّآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطٰنٍۗ اِنْ يَّتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْاَنْفُسُۚ وَلَقَدْ جَاۤءَهُمْ مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمُ الْهُدٰىۗ ٢٣
- in

- هِىَ
- they

- إِلَّآ
- (are) except
- asmāon
- أَسْمَآءٌ
- names
- sammaytumūhā
- سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ
- you have named them
- antum
- أَنتُمْ
- you
- waābāukum
- وَءَابَآؤُكُم
- and your forefathers
- mā
- مَّآ
- not
- anzala
- أَنزَلَ
- has Allah sent down
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- has Allah sent down
- bihā
- بِهَا
- for it
- min
- مِن
- any
- sul'ṭānin
- سُلْطَٰنٍۚ
- authority
- in
- إِن
- Not
- yattabiʿūna
- يَتَّبِعُونَ
- they follow
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ẓana
- ٱلظَّنَّ
- assumption
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and what
- tahwā
- تَهْوَى
- desire
- l-anfusu
- ٱلْأَنفُسُۖ
- the(ir) souls
- walaqad
- وَلَقَدْ
- And certainly
- jāahum
- جَآءَهُم
- has come to them
- min
- مِّن
- from
- rabbihimu
- رَّبِّهِمُ
- their Lord
- l-hudā
- ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
- the guidance
They are not but [mere] names you have named them – you and your forefathers – for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 23)Tafsir
اَمْ لِلْاِنْسَانِ مَا تَمَنّٰىۖ ٢٤
- am
- أَمْ
- Or
- lil'insāni
- لِلْإِنسَٰنِ
- (is) for man
- mā
- مَا
- what
- tamannā
- تَمَنَّىٰ
- he wishes?
Or is there for man whatever he wishes? (QS. [53] An-Najm: 24)Tafsir
فَلِلّٰهِ الْاٰخِرَةُ وَالْاُوْلٰى ࣖ ٢٥
- falillahi
- فَلِلَّهِ
- But for Allah
- l-ākhiratu
- ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ
- (is) the last
- wal-ūlā
- وَٱلْأُولَىٰ
- and the first
Rather, to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 25)Tafsir
وَكَمْ مِّنْ مَّلَكٍ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ لَا تُغْنِيْ شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ اَنْ يَّأْذَنَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيَرْضٰى ٢٦
- wakam
- وَكَم
- And how many

- malakin
- مَّلَكٍ
- (the) Angels
- fī
- فِى
- in
- l-samāwāti
- ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
- the heavens
- lā
- لَا
- not
- tugh'nī
- تُغْنِى
- will avail
- shafāʿatuhum
- شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ
- their intercession
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- min
- مِنۢ
- after
- baʿdi
- بَعْدِ
- after
- an
- أَن
- [that]
- yadhana
- يَأْذَنَ
- Allah has given permission
- l-lahu
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah has given permission
- liman
- لِمَن
- for whom
- yashāu
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- wayarḍā
- وَيَرْضَىٰٓ
- and approves
And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 26)Tafsir
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّوْنَ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْاُنْثٰى ٢٧
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- alladhīna
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- lā
- لَا
- (do) not
- yu'minūna
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- bil-ākhirati
- بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
- in the Hereafter
- layusammūna
- لَيُسَمُّونَ
- surely they name
- l-malāikata
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ
- the Angels
- tasmiyata
- تَسْمِيَةَ
- name(s)
- l-unthā
- ٱلْأُنثَىٰ
- (of) female
Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names, (QS. [53] An-Najm: 27)Tafsir
وَمَا لَهُمْ بِهٖ مِنْ عِلْمٍۗ اِنْ يَّتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِيْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْـًٔاۚ ٢٨

- And not

- لَهُم
- for them
- bihi
- بِهِۦ
- about it
- min
- مِنْ
- any
- ʿil'min
- عِلْمٍۖ
- knowledge
- in
- إِن
- Not
- yattabiʿūna

- ٱلظَّنَّۖ
- assumption
- wa-inna
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed
- l-ẓana
- ٱلظَّنَّ
- the assumption
- lā
- لَا
- (does) not
- yugh'nī
- يُغْنِى
- avail
- mina
- مِنَ
- against
- l-ḥaqi
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- the truth
- shayan
- شَيْـًٔا
- anything
And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 28)Tafsir
فَاَعْرِضْ عَنْ مَّنْ تَوَلّٰىۙ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ اِلَّا الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَاۗ ٢٩
- fa-aʿriḍ
- فَأَعْرِضْ
- So turn away
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- man
- مَّن
- (him) who
- tawallā
- تَوَلَّىٰ
- turns away
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- dhik'rinā
- ذِكْرِنَا
- Our Reminder
- walam
- وَلَمْ
- and not
- yurid
- يُرِدْ
- he desires
- illā
- إِلَّا
- except
- l-ḥayata
- ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
- the life
- l-dun'yā
- ٱلدُّنْيَا
- (of) the world
So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 29)Tafsir
ذٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُمْ مِّنَ الْعِلْمِۗ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِهٖۙ وَهُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدٰى ٣٠
- dhālika
- ذَٰلِكَ
- That
- mablaghuhum
- مَبْلَغُهُم
- (is) their sum
- mina
- مِّنَ
- of
- l-ʿil'mi
- ٱلْعِلْمِۚ
- knowledge
- inna
- إِنَّ
- Indeed
- rabbaka
- رَبَّكَ
- your Lord
- huwa
- هُوَ
- (is) He (Who)
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- biman
- بِمَن
- (he) who
- ḍalla
- ضَلَّ
- strays
- ʿan
- عَن
- from
- sabīlihi
- سَبِيلِهِۦ
- His Path
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- and He
- aʿlamu
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- bimani
- بِمَنِ
- (he) who
- ih'tadā
- ٱهْتَدَىٰ
- is guided
That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided. (QS. [53] An-Najm: 30)Tafsir
