Al-Qur'an Surah At-Tur Verse 25

At-Tur [52]: 25 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer

وَاَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍ يَّتَسَاۤءَلُوْنَ (الطور : ٥٢)

wa-aqbala
وَأَقْبَلَ
And will approach
baʿḍuhum
بَعْضُهُمْ
some of them
ʿalā
عَلَىٰ
to
baʿḍin
بَعْضٍ
others
yatasāalūna
يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
inquiring

Transliteration:

Wa aqbala ba'duhum 'alaa ba'diny yatasaaa'aloon (QS. aṭ-Ṭūr:25)

English / Sahih Translation:

And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. (QS. At-Tur, ayah 25)

And some among them will turn to one another, questioning each other -- they ask one another about how they were in the past and what they have now attained, in their delight and acknowledgement of the grace [of God to them].

And some of them draw near to others, questioning.

meaning, the believers will draw near to each other talking and remembering their actions and conditions in this life, just as people in this life talk while drinking, especially when they become intoxicated,

قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ
