Al-Qur'an Surah Adh-Dhariyat Verse 40
Adh-Dhariyat [51]: 40 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
فَاَخَذْنٰهُ وَجُنُوْدَهٗ فَنَبَذْنٰهُمْ فِى الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيْمٌۗ (الذاريات : ٥١)
- fa-akhadhnāhu
- فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ
- So We took him
- wajunūdahu
- وَجُنُودَهُۥ
- and his hosts
- fanabadhnāhum
- فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ
- and threw them
- fī
- فِى
- into
- l-yami
- ٱلْيَمِّ
- the sea
- wahuwa
- وَهُوَ
- while he
- mulīmun
- مُلِيمٌ
- (was) blameworthy
Transliteration:
Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem(QS. aḏ-Ḏāriyāt:40)
English / Sahih Translation:
So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. (QS. Adh-Dhariyat, ayah 40)

Tafsir jalalayn
So We seized him and his hosts and cast, flung, them into the waters, the sea, and so they drowned, for he, that is, Pharaoh, was blameworthy, guilty of what is blameworthy, such as denying the messengers and claiming divinity.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ
So We took him and his armies, and dumped them,
meaning `We threw them,'
فِي الْيَمِّ
into the Yamm, (into the sea),
وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
for he was blameworthy.
meaning, Fir`awn was a denying sinner and a stubborn disbeliever worthy of blame.
Allah the Exalted and Most Honored said,
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ
