Al-Qur'an Surah Adh-Dhariyat Verse 26

Then he slipped off to his home and fetched a fattened calf.

Tafsir jalalayn

Then he went aside to his family, secretly, and brought a fat calf -- in srat Hd [it is said], a roasted calf [Q. 11;69] --

فَرَاغَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ

Then he turned to his household,

(Ibrahim discretely went inside in haste),

فَجَاء بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ



and brought out a roasted calf. (from the best of his menu),

And in another Ayah

فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَأءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍ

And he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf. (11;69)

means roasted on hot coal
