Al-Qur'an Surah Adh-Dhariyat Verse 13
Adh-Dhariyat [51]: 13 ~ English Qur'an Word By Word and Multi Tafseer
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُوْنَ (الذاريات : ٥١)

Transliteration:
Yawma hum 'alan naari yuftanoon(QS. aḏ-Ḏāriyāt:13)
English / Sahih Translation:
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire. (QS. Adh-Dhariyat, ayah 13)

Tafsir jalalayn
on the day when they will be tormented in the Fire, that is to say, chastised in it, and it will be said to them during the chastisement;
Tafseer Ibn Kathir
(It will be) a Day when they will be Yuftanun in the Fire!
Ibn Abbas, Mujahid, Al-Hasan and several others said,
"Yuftanun means punished."
Mujahid said;
"Just as gold is forged in the fire."
A group of others also including Mujahid, Ikrimah, Ibrahim An-Nakha`i, Zayd bin Aslam, and Sufyan Ath-Thawri said,
"They will be burnt.
