وَفِيْ عَادٍ اِذْ اَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيْحَ الْعَقِيْمَۚ ٤١
- wafī
- وَفِى
- And in
- ʿādin
- عَادٍ
- Aad
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- arsalnā
- أَرْسَلْنَا
- We sent
- ʿalayhimu
- عَلَيْهِمُ
- against them
- l-rīḥa
- ٱلرِّيحَ
- the wind
- l-ʿaqīma
- ٱلْعَقِيمَ
- the barren
And in Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 41)Tafsir
42
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ اَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ اِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيْمِۗ ٤٢
- mā
- مَا
- Not
- tadharu
- تَذَرُ
- it left
- min
- مِن
- any
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- atat
- أَتَتْ
- it came
- ʿalayhi
- عَلَيْهِ
- upon it
- illā
- إِلَّا
- but
- jaʿalathu
- جَعَلَتْهُ
- it made it
- kal-ramīmi
- كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
- like disintegrated ruins
It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 42)Tafsir
43
وَفِيْ ثَمُوْدَ اِذْ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوْا حَتّٰى حِيْنٍ ٤٣
- wafī
- وَفِى
- And in
- thamūda
- ثَمُودَ
- Thamud
- idh
- إِذْ
- when
- qīla
- قِيلَ
- was said
- lahum
- لَهُمْ
- to them
- tamattaʿū
- تَمَتَّعُوا۟
- "Enjoy (yourselves)
- ḥattā
- حَتَّىٰ
- for
- ḥīnin
- حِينٍ
- a time"
And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 43)Tafsir
44
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ اَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ ٤٤
- faʿataw
- فَعَتَوْا۟
- But they rebelled
- ʿan
- عَنْ
- against
- amri
- أَمْرِ
- (the) Command
- rabbihim
- رَبِّهِمْ
- (of) their Lord
- fa-akhadhathumu
- فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
- so seized them
- l-ṣāʿiqatu
- ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ
- the thunderbolt
- wahum
- وَهُمْ
- while they
- yanẓurūna
- يَنظُرُونَ
- were looking
But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 44)Tafsir
45
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوْا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَّمَا كَانُوْا مُنْتَصِرِيْنَۙ ٤٥
- famā
- فَمَا
- Then not
- is'taṭāʿū
- ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟
- they were able
- min
- مِن
- to
- qiyāmin
- قِيَامٍ
- stand
- wamā
- وَمَا
- and not
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- they could
- muntaṣirīna
- مُنتَصِرِينَ
- help themselves
And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 45)Tafsir
46
وَقَوْمَ نُوْحٍ مِّنْ قَبْلُ ۗ اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا قَوْمًا فٰسِقِيْنَ ࣖ ٤٦
- waqawma
- وَقَوْمَ
- And (the) people
- nūḥin
- نُوحٍ
- (of) Nuh
- min
- مِّن
- before
- qablu
- قَبْلُۖ
- before
- innahum
- إِنَّهُمْ
- indeed, they
- kānū
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- qawman
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- fāsiqīna
- فَٰسِقِينَ
- defiantly disobedient
And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 46)Tafsir
47
وَالسَّمَاۤءَ بَنَيْنٰهَا بِاَيْىدٍ وَّاِنَّا لَمُوْسِعُوْنَ ٤٧
- wal-samāa
- وَٱلسَّمَآءَ
- And the Heaven
- banaynāhā
- بَنَيْنَٰهَا
- We constructed it
- bi-aydin
- بِأَيْي۟دٍ
- with strength
- wa-innā
- وَإِنَّا
- and indeed We
- lamūsiʿūna
- لَمُوسِعُونَ
- (are) surely (its) Expanders
And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 47)Tafsir
48
وَالْاَرْضَ فَرَشْنٰهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُوْنَ ٤٨
- wal-arḍa
- وَٱلْأَرْضَ
- And the earth
- farashnāhā
- فَرَشْنَٰهَا
- We have spread it
- faniʿ'ma
- فَنِعْمَ
- how excellent
- l-māhidūna
- ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ
- (are) the Spreaders!
And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 48)Tafsir
49
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ ٤٩
- wamin
- وَمِن
- And of
- kulli
- كُلِّ
- every
- shayin
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- khalaqnā
- خَلَقْنَا
- We have created
- zawjayni
- زَوْجَيْنِ
- pairs
- laʿallakum
- لَعَلَّكُمْ
- so that you may
- tadhakkarūna
- تَذَكَّرُونَ
- remember
And of all things We created two mates [i.e., counterparts]; perhaps you will remember. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 49)Tafsir
50
فَفِرُّوْٓا اِلَى اللّٰهِ ۗاِنِّيْ لَكُمْ مِّنْهُ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌۚ ٥٠
- fafirrū
- فَفِرُّوٓا۟
- So flee
- ilā
- إِلَى
- to
- l-lahi
- ٱللَّهِۖ
- Allah
- innī
- إِنِّى
- indeed I am
- lakum
- لَكُم
- to you
- min'hu
- مِّنْهُ
- from Him
- nadhīrun
- نَذِيرٌ
- a warner
- mubīnun
- مُّبِينٌ
- clear
So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. (QS. [51] Adh-Dhariyat: 50)Tafsir
